lol winwin kept on telling taeyong what he said wasn't chinese. it's true in a way because he used dialect (satoori) which can sorta count as another language. 😂

Satoori is Korean dialect. He spoke Chinese regional dialect; Wenzhounese. My parents are both from that area as well so I understand a little. Tbh Wenzhounese is ineligible to non-speakers, it was even used to relay secret messages during WWII, because it's so different from mandarin.

@@rong-an Yes some short phrases still sound similar (nihao wo shi dong sicheng = nihe, eng si dong sicheng", but if you ever were to have a conversation with a Wenzhounese, you wouldn't understand anything. eg If you ask in mandarin whether someone has eaten you say "chi le ma?/ 吃了吗?" in Wenzhounese it's like "qi go ba mi a?/吃哦罢未啊?". Southern Chinese dialects are really diverse and divergent and I really regret not practicing it bc some relatives of mine can only speak dialect so I can't communicate with them well 😭

Winwin was born in the southeastern of china, a city called Wenzhou. The dialect wenzhounese there is very hard to understand for most of Chinese, he said it's not Chinese 😂😂it can make sense. Wenzhou dialect is called the most difficult dialect in China, it is so far away from the standard mandarin, actually like another country's language 🤣

I know basic Wenzhounese. He said "Hello, I'm Dong Sicheng" (ni he, en si dong sicheng). I see a little similarity to mandarin (ni hao, wo shi dong sicheng). But when it comes to longer sentences, it become ineligible to non-speakers xD
