At 37:38, that is Henry. He is an ex-member of Super Junior. Super Junior are the seniors of NCT at SM. They're really famous for starting the Hallyu wave of Kpop around the world together with TVXQ and BigBang.

That's what I love about NCT, they have more foreign members than Korean members, but they never try to be or to sound like Koreans, everyone of them have their own traits and culture and they're learning and adapting between each other. They're just unique like that.

Yes Lucas is chinese, he’s from Hong Kong. Specifically, ethnically speaking, Lucas is half chinese (dad) and half thai (mom). 37:10 Yes that’s Lucas again lol i’m surprised you didn’t already know Lucas he has a very distinctive face and is very popular many people know him before anyone else in NCT. Lucas and Mark are often together. Another thing to expect is there’s lots of content with the NCT members hanging out cross-unit wise so don’t be surprised when you see lots of combinations of people you might not recognize yet lol 37:40 That’s Henry Lau, another SM artist. I believe he used to be in Super Junior or still is i’m not too sure on that. NCT are the most multicultural group, there are more foreigners than korean members lol 13/23 members aren’t from Korea so they learn a lot from each other and get to have lots of different cultural influences. For example, the NCT U song “From Home” is a song sung by a mixture of the Korean, Chinese and Japanese members about leaving home and finding a new one with NCT and they sing in all of their first languages on the same song. Yes, Taeyong is the leader of ALL 23 members! He’s also a complete ace, a great singer, rapper, dancer, choreographer, artist, and even writes songs. The members trust in him a lot and provides a lot of support all across the board. Taeil is usually the one doing the high notes in 127 songs! He definitely did that note in “Simon Says” that the other members built up. Yes, Winwin was last with 127 during “Simon Says”. WayV debuted a few months after that song, so that was the start of his time with them! SM has never released an official statement saying Winwin is no longer a member of 127 and this upsets a lot of fans so we like to keep mentioning him as a member anyway to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves as working in multiple units! NCTzens is pronounced as “N-citizen” because NCT is commonly pronounced as “Ncity” because of their huge concept. So we as fans are a citizens of Ncity, the world of NCT. Our lightstick is the word NCT, but stylized as a building too! Yuta is a crazy dancer and vocalist! He’s hilarious too lmao but yeah he’s no longer the only Japanese member. Shotaro, one of our new members who joined last year, is Japanese too. Doyoung is well known for his emotional vocals, we always say when he sings live that he sings like he’s divorced and lost custody of his 3 kids. Jaehyun lived in Connecticut as a kid for 4-5 years so he learned there! He’s still fluent, but obviously not as fluent as Johnny and Mark who speak English as their first language. His accent is very cute lol Jaehyun, Johnny and Mark are 3 of the “foreign swaggers” group of NCT (other members include Ten and Yangyang of WayV). Jungwoo definitely went through a lot when he was added to 127, it was really emotional for him and there was lots of eyes and criticism towards him unfortunately. Hopefully, the same won’t happen to our new members again. Jungwoo has actually been a good support for the new members because he knows exactly what they’re going through as he was once new as well. Mark is always so unintentionally funny lol he’s often the butt of some jokes. But he is really introspective and so genuinely nice, he’s a sweetheart. Haechan is another ace for real he brings so much to the group it’s crazy. All of NCT are aces really, each one brings something so important and different to the group, and Haechan’s unique qualities are standouts for sure. Can’t wait for the next guide! This group is incredible and deserves the world! You’ll definitely love them, they’re insane and so funny.

DK and Jaehyun are now friends thanks to the 97 line group chat (which also contains Mingyu and The8 from Seventeen, Jungkook from BTS, Cha Eunwoo from Astro, and Yugyeom and Bambam from GOT7). The dude singing O Canada with Mark is named Henry. He used to be a member of Super Junior M (the Chinese subunit of Super Junior) and is now a soloist.

yeah the fandom name is nctzens: a play word on nct- sounds like n-city thus the pronunciation is n-citizens. n-city also stands for the abbreviation of neo city (neo comes from NCT which stands for Neo Culture Technology). Btw, the lightstick of nct also resembles a city skyline (actually really cute and unique), and 127's tours are also named neo city (the first one was neo city: the origin, the second one that got canceled due to covid was called neo city: the awards) so when we meet 127 we meet in neo city- we're the citizens of the city, if that makes sense lol

35:00 yess it’s so sad 😭 he actually had to take a hiatus at the end of 2019 and there were photos exposed by annoying ass stalkers of him smoking plus he has really bad anxiety and has to take pills to keep him calm so yeah he’s pretty stressed and probably feels very pressured luckily after the hiatus you can see he’s more confident in himself and happy so he’s doing better

A lot has change since that video so here let me tell you some update.. Nct as a whole -- Nct currently have 23 members now with 4 sub unit.. Nct U, Nct 127 , Nct Dream & WayV. * Nct 127 - It's a fixed unit with 9 members - Taeyong (Leader),Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Jaehyun, Doyoung, Jungwoo, Mark & Haechan. ( It used to be 10 but Winwin isn't active anymore as 127 since he join wayV 2018) * Nct Dream is now a fixed sub unit with 7 members - Mark (Leader) , Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Haechan, Chenle & Jisung. Nct Dream used to be an only teenage boy group so Mark was graduated from nct dream on dec 31 2018 after he turn 20 (19 for international age) but came back on 2020 April again after they abolish the age graduation system. * Nct WayV is a sub unit of Chinese boy group with 7 members - Kun ( Leader) , Ten , Winwin, Lucas, Xiaojun, Hendery & Yangyang * Nct U is a rotational group for all 23 members. It can change the members with who fits the concept & songs. * 2 new members Shotaro & Sungchan were added on Nct 2020 so new sub unit are on the way.. Also Nct Hollywood is officially on the making through an audition program.. It's going to be an All American boy band. Note - Both Mark & Haechan are in Nct 127 & Nct Dream. Mark is in SuperM as well with Taeyong, Ten & Lucas. ( superM is a powerful boy band from different SM group Shinee, Exo, Nct127, Dream & WayV)

Glad you’re enjoying NCT! idk if you’re planning on doing guides for the other units but I wouldn’t suggest the softjun one for WayV just because it’s 2 years old and outdated. Lao Gan Ma has one from this year which would probably be better! That’s just my suggestion though! I’ll look forward to more of your reactions :)

Haechan is THE man like for real. He’s my ult bias together with Hyunjin (Skz) and I could talk about him for hours. I sometimes really think that he’s underrated when it comes to performance. Like is voice is so unique and when watching live performances you can hear how stable he is even singing live and singing high notes live as well so that’s where he stands out ofc but his dancing skills are no joke either. His technique is so defined and his movements are so strong + his facials expressions too. And off stageas this guide said he’s THE mood maker of the group. The members themselves said that he’s the one who always makes them smile and makes everyone’s day better, that’s also why his nickname is Full Sun. I’m really glad, that you appreciate him too and I hope you get to know him better in the future. I also recommend the NCT 2020 guide mentioned in the comments as well. It’s really good.

the way yuta can tell winwin apart from his ears is bc winwin has two different shaped ears. one is ‘normal’ or rounded, and the other is pointy, which makes him look like a fairy/elf

i think a good way to get to know members is to watch their 2020 relay cam video's They all had an hour in a day to film their own little vlogs ! But i think you can watch them in your own time because there is 23 of them + intro video and theyre all 15 ish minutes
