It’s funny how you were saying that the song was underwhelming when a lot of people were not liking the song because it was too much and just ‘noise’. And that’s a lot of times the case with nct 127 title tracks. They‘re not everyone’s cup of tea because the songs are usually too busy but that’s ok and I do actually see how these type of songs can scare off the mainstream. I personally love Simon says because I feel it really embodies everything that 127 stands for: the strange noises and samples, the beautiful vocal heavy bridge and the rap heavy hip hop influenced verses. i completely agree! the strange noises and samples and clashng vocals and melodies are such an nct 127 staple that i've honestly gotten used to it,, a lot of people find their songs either underwhelming or overwhelming but i think they're just right lol,,

@@mohrinamagams1005 with strange noises I was referring to the sounds that they build their beats with or like the horse neighing (that you wouldn’t normally hear in any other kpop songs :D). And I’m guessing you mean the chants in the beginning? I wasn’t calling those ‘strange noises’, sorry that I didn’t express myself better in the comment!

I can understand what you guys are coming from towards your end comments. Nct tends to ‘ experiment’ a lot with sounds because their large group needs to come up with new sounds and constantly rebrand their image. However I do think that is what makes them unique and stand out as NCT like production, intense choruses, difficult bridges, etc. Their music grew on me the longer I was a fan. Great reaction btw!

Honestly I can understand the confussion because NCT music isn't for everyone and Simon Says is kind of their trademark (specially for 127) but yeah NCT's music isn't the type to be like "all quick and careless" at all. There was a saying for NCT's songs that I really loved from a classical musician that described It as "organized chaos" or something like that. They have a lot of things happening at their songs that stun you at first but the more you listen to them the more you appreciate them and the more sense they make, the thing is their music is not only very dynamic (constantly changing) but kinda noisy sometimes, so yeah it's not for everyone. I do really recommend to give a listen to this song's instrumental with some earphones because the beat is anything but put togheter with rush, it's probably some of the coolest instrumentation I've heard on a Kpop song, the bridge until the last chorus still gives me goosebumps.

yea this song is definitely acquired taste and that's okay! personally i can't get enough of it 😂 that chorus always bangs for me but that's what happens after listening to nct for so long

Actually the production value of their songs are insane, their songs always feel so heavy, because of the experimental instrauments that they used, layering of voices, not so typical chords for verses, chorus and bridges.. so I understand why some people dont like them or their songs.. but that's what makes them so unique than other groups in kpop.. they also dont follow the trend concept or genre, they create their own and im so proud that theyre getting the recognition that they deserve. 엔시티 짱!!

I am so picky when it comes to heavy songs in Kpop. Like people could be obsessed with one song while I absolutely hate it cause it sounds like “noise”. I was surprised a lot of people didn’t like this song, this is one of the few NCT songs that I could totally get down to. But everyone’s taste is different

can you react to dance practices along with mv's when you do these reactions? that might be too much in one video but they seem to really like choreo and a lot of the times actual music videos don't show a lot of the choreo even when the choreo's sometimes make the song more interesting.

When you don't usually listen to kpop songs and listening to NCT music for the first time you'd think that there are lots of noises. Well, it has lots of noises haha but that what makes NCT interesting. They are from SM and their company is well known to have experimental music whether from their boy groups or girl groups. Because NCT has unlimited number of members they don't use the same demo twice (if you'll react on their songs in the near future, you will never hear these demo songs again) . I hope you'd react to them again soon. Their songs are bop, and they have members from Chicago & Canada, there's one from Germany too.

Nct 127 music really isn’t for everyone. It’s not mainstream that many would like. A lot of their songs are experimental. That’s why I understood your opinions. I personally love it.
