People forget that not only is he taller and possibly stronger than everyone in the group but he’s also one of the oldest. It’s not just his stature it’s his hyung status within the group too.
he can send taeil(eldest) and taeyong(leader) in panic and hierarchy wise those two are the only ones who can overrule johnny's authority and dominance over the group. so basically it's Johnny's world and the rest live in it lol. which explains why even jaehyun becomes a babie around him. see how he didnt agree or dared to laugh when ty made that sloth joke lol. mark is like the only one who goes on with life being unaffected but that could be because of how they connect more as friends who belong to america and canada rather than hyung-dongsaeng.

@@kbiun9932 I think because mark was one of the first trainees to join after johnny and they have that american-canadian informal friendship going instead of the hyung-dongsaeng thing + mark is in like 4 groups and very responsible even if he is young. johnny respects him a lot. his views and opinions matter a lot as an artist + mark is nct's baby lets be honest. he is close to all units.
Johnny is far by one of the most patient people/idol I've ever seen. He's the type of guy who doesn't get pissed off easily but when he does, you'll immediately regret pissing him off in the first place. And I also think we have the same thing wherein if we're mad, no one dares to talk to us because they know we're not in the mood. Like my friends always do that when I'm not in the mood. Like they wait for me to cool down before talking to me. Same with Johnny and the members. They know their limitations because come on, they've been together for years. But all in all, we all know Johnny is just one big baby who wants cuddles but don't make him mad cause he's scary when mad.

I feel like the only member who isn’t scared of him is mark. He can make Taeil and Taeyong panic as the oldest and leader respectively that says something to me but with the youngest members ie mark and haechan he can be incredibly soft and his duality is honestly terrifying to me.

I think he gets pissed when someone crosses the line. Like Taeyong jokingly calling him lazy on the first video, as someone who had trained so long I guess he felt offended and hurt. Also with Haechan speaking rudely (though jokingly) to him. He’s generally very chill and can take jokes well, so when someone messed up I think the members could tell right away and immediately tried to lighten the situation. Moral of the story: Don’t mess with nice guys! Especially the ones that are tall and big like him 🤣

As someone who's a bit similar to Johnny, his silence when someone teases him is his mind calculating whether to snap back or act in a way it won't sound aggressive and make the situation awkward so finding the ways to give a response in a funny way but not too funny so that he can put people in their place. It's a long thought process and before executing it, people become scared lol.
Johnny is that one friend who will ignore us whenever he get mad on us. Until in the end we can't help but apologize to him because we just cant live without him. It's bland.
