NCT Dream - Ridin' - UK K-Pop Fans Reaction

When I first started getting into Dream, I distinctly remember this song sending me into a Renjun spiral lol. That prechorus!!

"Ridin'" is 100% a Dream track in my opinion. Remember that the whole concept of the group is that as the group grows up and matures, so too does their music. "Ridin'" came out in 2020 as part of their next chapter -- almost 2 years after Mark (temporarily) left the group -- and they were establishing themselves with their new dynamic of Jeno as their de facto leader and the fact that most of the members were reaching adulthood, etc. (SM didn't suspend the group's graduation concept until after this comeback.) "Ridin'" was also released after their 2019 "Boom" MV, which was one of the first times we saw Jisung starting to turn from a child into a young man, etc. showing how the group had changed and evolved. But I really see this as part of NCT-Dream's style since their release of "Go" in 2018. "Go" is where Dream showed a new side of themselves and proved there was way more to them then cute and sweet. If you watch NCT-Dream's MVs in order of release you won't have as much whiplash because you will be able to see how their music has grown and changed over the years. Their music style doesn't make as drastic of change as you might think.

RIDIN' is definitely one if my fav title tracks from them along with Hello Future

The lighting on this MV is immaculate. They’re all already such good looking boys but the lighting just enhances the visuals to another level.

This is one of my favourite Dream songs. Also blue haired Jaemin...chefs kiss. You guys need to see the reaction of 127 to this song. (Voldemort 2 is in it, but you can watch it offline...its hilarious how 127 is reacting to Dream).

To give some credit to you guys, SM groups actually do share songs and they get passed around quite often. Well-known examples: EXO Artifical Love was originally going to 127 Dream Chewing Gum was originally going to Red Velvet 127 Superhuman was originally going to Shinee Shinee View & f(x) 4 Walls were switched with each other

To me, when Jeno raps, he sometimes sounds like he's imitating Mark's style or sometimes TY's style. Which is probably not his fault because his sound is probably guided by the producers.

This is one of my favourite Dream songs. Contrary to you though, I thought it was very much a Dream song as they had made songs like this one since being rebel teenagers in "Go", a process bound to happen as they grew up.

Personally I will always feel like this is Dream's best era. While I love Mark, he is my overall NCT bias for many reasons, SM tend to do the same sound for whatever group he is in which takes away from the different subgroups slightly. This era of dream after he had "graduated", would later be put back in, SM did start crafting this uniquely Dream sound that I love. At the time they were my fav subgroup of NCT since their sound just stood out more, they were really coming into their own this era. I will always love all of NCT but this era just hit differently in the best way.

funfact: this was the first time Chenle had black hair for a comeback lol (it was a huge meme that Chenle always had different coloured hair lol, Im still obsessed with Lettuce Lele tbh) @1:53 ~women supporting women~ also Kerry reminds me of my mum lol @5:25 he talks different in Korean too lol, people struggle to translate him cos he just doesnt say things properly @7:00 NCT127 is chenle's fave group & he loves TYs rap, so he's actually quite good lol, during From Home promos he told Yuta "if you ever want a stand in, I'll do it" & Yuta was like "sure" something thats not poointed ut very often is the fire effects in the MV are all practical they really lit Jenos finger on fire & lit the newspaper Ji was holding, "it smells like pork' - Jeno about his own finger

now *THIS* is the song that made me go "oh- oh no... wait a minute..." and made me reconsider everything i thought i knew about dream after I heard chewing gum as it came out and basically ignored everything after that... I blame this song for getting me into the rabbithole that's NCT as a whole. I fell for them - especially dream - so hard man
