Volcano is one of my favorite NCT U songs ever. Doyoung contributes so much to every song he sings, and he complements everyone he sings with very well. The harmonies are incredible, and his adlibs are just awesome.
The Resonance albums were top tier. I loved how each song had a different set of members singing, so it was nice seeing new combinations that we wouldn't see anywhere else because they do unit promotions most of the time.
@RedSun I love Doyoung's voice and the way he sings too. There are a lot of technically better singers in SM, maybe. But no one expresses emotion the way he does. It's a totally different way of appreciating music.
Light Bulb (or “Switch Off”) has so much tension - really love the contrast between Taeyong’s lower tone and Doyoung’s airy vocals, and how all of them sing/rap over each other to create that tension (just like a relationship on the brink of falling apart).
It's so sad that so many kpop fans that were not in kpop in 2 nd generation let alone 1st don't know about the vocal lines in SM like yes many might know TVXQ (it was DBSK with 5 members but 3 left and then Yknow and Changmin remained as TVXQ) and the monster vocalist and 1st kpop girl group member Bada(she's just freakin amazing) 1st generation legend. You might have heard of SMSD vocal line. Of course you know Taeyeon but yeah SNSD is just the standard Also 2nd generation heavenly vocal line and probably the best in kpop history Super Junior KRY(Kyuhyun, Yesung and Ryeowook) oh ma gosh it pains my heart when I see new pink bloods or just those kpop fans who value vocal don't know SJ KRY, I'm not even lying like KRY is just the best of SM, iconic ideal of so many idol singers and even singers in general. Yes all the SM groups have amazing vocal line and they are the BEST of their generation without any doubt. But KRY is like the example that SM used to train all of them lol. Even you'll see how much Taeil talks about Kyuhyun lol and Doyoung about Taeyeon.
Light Bulb is a special song, it was written by Taeyong when he was still a trainee, Taeyong asked Doyoung to perform this song with him, they performed it when they were rookies, Kun also performed a few times, it took 7 years to have a digital release. This song is just so special
For me every song of it..were all BOPs! My GAHD! (The fact that it finished with I.O.U and they released the album in pre-Christmas days, loved it)💚💚 Thank you guys, as always you the best^^
The things I love about NCT songs, the rappers are so adaptable to the style of the song, they never overpowered the other vocal section, but never failed to be a perfect company for them, and they took part on the harmonious part too they really didn't left everyone out.
I remember a tweet was going viral when they dropped MAW english version it said 'Hello SM? plz hand over the phone to Taeyong, tell him his kids seem to be really hungry' lmao XD
Ooh - thanks for the reaction! I personally gravitate more towards Wayv & NCT U songs, and Resonance era was amazing! Nectar, Faded in My Last Song, Make a Wish, Misfit, Work It, 90's Love - all bangers. :)
Idk if i’ve ever seen a reactor say this, but the guitar in misfit always reminds me of the music from the first iron man. The guitar just sounds so similar
