Amber Tirbhowan i mean it doesn’t particularly have to be about a lover or someone just leaving. there are a lot of different meanings but yeah basically the narrator feels betrayed or abandoned because he had this connection with someone and they have little chance of reconnecting with them even after they’ve shared so much together.
This song is about being out-casted, isolated, not fitting in... All in all, just feeling lonely and somewhat worthless. "Lonely and tired Look at the world of that person" "The person that has been left behind look at the scars they have hidden." But the positive message of the song is that all it takes is one special person to turn your whole life around and help you see the greater side of things. I kind of summarized the meaning but I hoped I helped you understand something :)
Ok but seriously am I the only one who thinks that this song would do extremely well on "Western" radio?? I love how the chorus complements all of their voices so nicely and the little guitar riffs they put in and the entire instrumental of the song just makes me think of a roadtrip at night...? Maybe I'm weird but that's just what I think of everytime I hear this song.

I don't know why, but this song make me feel kind of nostalgic, a mix between being sad and happy, listening to this make me wanna cry but i don't know if it's for good, bad, or both of them. Still i love this song, good memories come to my mind

I really wasn't expecting a song like this to come out of the same group who debuted with such an R&B sounding sound. This song is pretty unique in that it uses actual instruments (real drums and guitar) instead of synthesised instruments. They did a really good job of this song. I'm not a big fan of NCT, but I definitely think they're talented :)

I've always felt that no one wants me and i was better off dead. it has been so so hard. i was on the verge of killing myself so many times. then i found this song. jaehyun's line at 2:19 has always been the words i've wanted to hear from someone. that they are with me. whatever happens, they are with me. this is also the reason why i cry so hard everytime i hear this song. i'm sorry for ranting but i just want to express how much i love this song and how it kinda saved me.

Jeahyun voice a little bit like beakhyun but u cannt mix their voice even if u dont know them coz beakhyun has a soft and cute but powerful as well and jeahyun voice is soft cute but a little sharp .i might be the only one who think like 😄
ok but did anyone else realize the darkening of blue in each of the members' pictures. like in taeil's it was a light sky blue, and doyoung's is a sky blue, while jaehyun's is a greyish bluish color??? yeaahhh,,,

this song always makes me cry because this is exactly how I feel about them, because I found them before I was gonna try to kill myself and I always look back on the happy memories they gave me, like when I’d get excited over a new album or fangirl over a fancam (which I still do) and just in general how happy they’ve made me I’m so grateful for them

There is something about this song unlike anything ive ever heard before istg its nostalgic and hits different in the feels like I feel like crying but its not sorrow nor is it happiness its more complex than that i cant explain it. I always come back to this song as its just damn amazing.
When I first heard the lyrics, I couldn’t understand a thing, but the song made me cry nonetheless. I couldn’t understand why. After coming back to this 5 years later, as an NCTzen, I finally understood why I cried. It was because this song has a kind of nostalgic feel to it, it gives you those little flashbacks you see in the movies… this is such a beautiful song.
i cry every time i listen to this song. it’s so nostalgic and beautiful, i would listen to this on a late night ride, walking in the subway station in the earliest hours of the morning alone, running away in the city at midnight. it’s like there’s a knot in my chest that’s unraveled every time i hear this song. i love it so much i cant even describe it
This song has been my favourite since I've become an Nctzen back in 2019, always brought tears into my eyes and made my heart feel happy, however after what happened I don't know what to say. The song is lovely, I love Doyoung and Jaehyun, but I can't listen to it like before because of what that person has done was disgusting. I stand with the victim!

I hear Baekhyun's voice on a daily basis and his & Jaehyun's voices are way different. Baekhyun's voice is a bit smooth but Jaehyun's voice is quite sharp.
