I’ll bring it on our South America trip in 3 weeks! So happy to see your purses. The cat one is fun.. Love your nattering. I made some Greek yogurt in my new Instant Pot while you were talking. I haven't made any purses or wallets yet but do have a piece of fabric set aside for when I'm ready. The cat wallet is awesome - you even perfectly matched them. My granddaughter would flip over that make. If you do a giveaway for it or decide to sell it, please count me in. Happy stitching.

I like your first wallet. Even if the cats were upside down. It is one of a kind. But for me, it has too many pockets. Plus when you open the wallet I would like it to say "If you can see my credit cards. Get your nose out of there!" As for the bank see if you could update your questions. Hi Muriel the first one I made took me approximately 12 hours but I was trying to make sure that I was doing it all properly. The last one that I made which was for my daughter from start to finish from cutting out to final adding a clasp took approximately 5 hours max. Although I did spread that over 2 days. I reckon that as I progress I could probably cut that down to an hour and a half which is more economical. And by the way, Happy New Year. 👍😘
Great makes. You could wax the fabric after you make them which would waterproof and stiffen at the same time. Will try and do a tutorial on how to do it this month. I really like the first purse pattern - love all those extra pockets! Haven't come across that one before but will have to try it. I'm a bit fed up of NCWs now having made loads over the last few years. I prefer the mini one though as I'm not a fan of big handbags...too much like lugging a suitcase everywhere haha! Same principle - just make it narrower and put the card slots vertical instead of horizontal.
This is an interesting video. Like you, I like the NCW (Ive made it lots of times) but feel it doesnt feel as secure as it could. I may try the one you mention before that if I feel the need for a big purse again. I'm not much of a purse person but I do like to make them!
I'm not a purse (as in clutch bag) person either Clare but I do like a good functional purse. Mind you one is enough so I guess either family and friends or charities are going to be the beneficiaries. Chuckle. 😍😘
Oooh love the wallets! Especially the cat one, so definitly please do a give away :) Also i feel your pain regarding the bank.I got locked out of my account while studying abroad and they made me send them copies of my passport, my driver's licence, bills from the address that the bank account was sent to! it was a mess because I was studying another country so I didn't have an electric bill at the account address, DUH! I really got miffed with them!
LOL, that's terrible! AND so typical. I'm glad you switch carriers. What a good idea to make a pocket on the front of you purse to make the cats right side up. How did you make your labels? They're great. Your second wallet is so professional! I like the measuring tape. The credit card modification is excellent. I wouldn't have thought of that. Giving them away as a prize would be great.

We were in Birmingham staying with friends and hubby tried to buy something on his card, it was declined son tried mine ( we have joint band accounts). This was the time when hubby had just retired and we had a lot of money in the bank before it was invested. I had the same whohar with passwords etc, it took an age of them asking about direct edits, exact amounts and dates etc before they would release the account. Turned out they had madeamassive mistake and not transferred money from savings account before they had put money into investments, soloing story short they had Amadeus 40K overdrawn. I am still waiting for an apology . Hope this makes sense. I love the purses.Marilyn x
Wow! Scary. And definitely needing an apology. I have just a couple of days ago been genuinely informed that someone has taken £450 off my Santander credit card which I have never used for a couple of months and which has never left my possession. Thankfully the bank refused £250 of it and have said they will call back the payment to the shop that sold some quality clothes for the remaining amount. It seems they may have taken my details from some account I have made a previous payment to. Very scary indeed.
Doesn't it just and lately the new ruling is that you can't pay cash into another persons account. You have to pay it into your own and then transfer the money. Happy New Year too
We learned to use a phrase for passwords. It’s supposedly safe. Obviously one you aren’t known for saying all the time. For years mine was Livefastdieyoung1 but now I’m old so it seemed weird. Lol. The Drummer used a song title. You are Thebagqueen1. 😊
My father told me that I should try using very old car number plates that we had when we were young. I like that idea because I always still remember most of my number plates and used to try to make a name out of it. Plus it offered the required letters and numbers you needed. And you could always make a capital letter out of one of them, and not necessarily the first letter.
the problem is they tell you not to have the same password so when you have as many as we have, and I am the more organised guardian of the passwords because the hubby doesn't want to look after them, it gets incredibly difficult to remember all of them. And it doesn't help when some of the websites or companies that we link to insist that we change their password every 6 weeks despite having secure backup on all laptops.
I totally agree with you Barbara and it gets more intimidating and frustrating as one gets older and seemingly (according to my bank) the memory cells don't seem to work as well as they used to!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😘
Happy New Year. Love the Allin purse and have desperately been trying to work out how to download the pattern from the WITT site. Armed with my google translator, I diligently went about filling in the form until I got to the country bit. It will only allow you to enter Germany, so how can I order it pls? I’m very frustrated now. And as for the Etsy link.........grrrrrr. Lol x
I had that same problem so I clicked on Germany and immediately sent her an email indicating that I had purchased the pattern and that I was in the UK. It actually doesn't matter in a sense because the pattern is downloadable and I expect she only wants that info to see where her customers come from. I think I also had a problem uploading the PDF but I think it was my fault not hers.Got it in the end. Let me know if you have any other issues and I will try to help. xxx
Oh and once you do download if you need any help working ti out then do let me know. There's really not much of a pattern, more like measurements to cut fabric but plenty of German instructions.
