Jared here, the calipers do look small on the rotors but that’s just because the replacement rotors have more surface area than the stock ones. Just a note!
This is an awesome video dudes! I like that you explain and show everything clearly and slowly. Many install videos speed through everything and skip details. These longer videos are much appreciated. I do have a question though. I was thinking of pairing the front Wilwood calipers with lightweight rotors from GoodWin for even more weight savings BUT I run bolt-on GarageLine spacers on my wheels and those rotors have large cutouts/holes (I assume to reduce weight) where the spacer would meet the rotor and I was wondering if that would be a problem or is it safe to run spacers with those.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I would reach out directly to Flyin' Miata for that question. I would think that if you could get the Goodwin rotors to the factory location, it shouldn't be an issue. But I'm not an expert or a mechanic 🤷♂️
wait so waht does that do besides braking performance? does it make the ride smoother because of the lighter weight or what are the benefits? skimming the video so sorry if it was said in the video. at work on break
