After the 2023 MU just ended yesterday, I would say MU 2018 is still the best edition. Thailand 🇹🇭 produced the best edition of Miss Universe in history, period. Coming from a Filipina myself, I'm at awe at how topnotch the production is, from the stage, the lights, the camera work, the song choices, the singers and performers, Thailand gave it all👏👏

At first MU production from US brought some dancers to open the show, but after the discussion with Thai organizer, they agreed to change the stage performers to be Thai traditional dancers. And the outcome was great!

Great decision. I wonder what is the point of hosting in Thailand without Thai cultural elements and Thai dancers on stage? If MU production wants an American show with American dances, they'd better do the pageant in the US. I was so disappointed that in Miss Universe 2016, very little Filipino culture was shown on stage.

Thai culture is so mesmerizing.. I'm a Filipino and I appreciate their culture so much. I love the opening number, it feels like a mixture of Modernity and Thai Culture and I felt so amazed and my heart can't stop from jumping.

What a fantastic opening to the show this year. I am obsessed with this performance. Thank you Thailand for a great host and thanks for incorporating the beautiful Thai dancers. The background in the beginning with the temple and sunrise is absolutely second to none. A-1 in my book. 😘

I can't stop admiring this opening number! My hat's off to Thailand. Miss Universe did an amazing job highlighting the Thai culture, something that was missing in Manila's staging of the extravaganza,l. Feels like it's just Vegas transported to the east. Kudos Thailand for the incredibly amazing presentation of this year's Miss Universe.

They did do a great job of hosting the pageant that year, but I still have yet to see any venue outdo the opening production of 1999. Trinidad & Tobago turned it up & out. It was the most celebratory spectacle in Miss Universe History. Well done T&T I'm sure U made your country proud.

I still go back to these days haha i mean I'm huge fan of ne-yo my childhood crush I'm literally crushed that time when he's the guest of MU, thailand is a good host though that time i was thinking the stage is to small, but now watching it again all over again. The stage, the opening, the bg music everything is so perfect

Fusion of Thai dancers and drummers and the LED images made NE-YO’s performance magical and enchanting. When MU was held in Thailand in 2005, it was also a magnificent opening number. The Thai organizers are very smart to incorporate everything Thai in this very short program to entice audience to visit Thailand. 🇵🇭🇹🇭🇵🇭🇹🇭 I wonder when will they host the Olympics? That’s gonna be a hell of a spectacle!

Ne-Yo is among of the beautiful thai dancers and my eyes forget to see him a few seconds... Stunning how amaze of dancers scene 😂😂and i like the opening music with the soldier men so strong and power❤️my heart beaten!
