The ayahuasca commercialization is a little interesting to me. A little unsettling too. I’ve studied and watched it’s ascension over the years and while I have nothing against a medicine that people have stood behind as revitalizing, it’s just interesting how it’s creeping in and who it’s presented to.

I think the purity will be compromised and force it to be synthesized, and led by fake shamans, etc (which I know the fake shamans is already a thing). The desire to “feel connected” is ugly sometimes.

Yeah I've done lsd and shrooms(for fun mostly) but Aya is whole nother trip. I'd only do it if I desperately needed a revelation, like if it was my last option. Some kids should know that you shouldn't be taking Aya just for funsies or cause you wanna try something. According to my friend who has done it, "It's like you're dead, time and space doesn't exist, it's kinda terrifying. But in the end I realized that I wanted to live and be healthier".

@@richardli6775 It depends on the person and their life experience. The Ayahuasca plant works with what you have. I’m a person that will “only” have a ceremony in the Peruvian jungle with curandeiros(shamans) whom have been working with the medicine for decades. I’ve had the plant outside of the Peruvian jungle and it’s a different thing. People think they can DMT and it’s not the same. Simply not. The way concepts work in people’s minds, is that if you take this plant in the jungle, then what’s the difference between taking it in some basement in NYC. It’s drastically different. Just know that. There is tradition, there are rituals, there needs to be someone managing the ceremony, whom cares for people’s spirits.

Amen to all he says about the religious NOTS NOTS NOTS! I was an atheist until I had an experience with that God connection. It's nothing like what religion or the Bible teaches anything feels like. I really enjoyed this podcast! Thanks! Its no joke about rickety shamans. The shaman has to know how to walk between worlds and clear your inner demons with you. I was intrigued at 1st too. But him describing it now...it sounds like DMTs or whatever. Basically opening your 3rd 👁 Literally...and going into that relm...and you are able to communicate with demons masquerading as angels and light beings and stuff. So yeah, this is nothing new.
