Wow, it's widely known in my state and I've actually had experience with them. My mother's coworker went missing for a long time after going skiing. They found him dead, cause of death, frozen... Tree well
He was the lead of the next climbing party. His rope was going downwards. He wouldve fallen to the next point where the rope was attached. So no suicide mission.
@@paul81491 lead climbing still has major risks... Depending on where the tether was, if he fell he could have broken his ribs, or fractured something else
Leading or not...expert or beginner...doesn't matter. Gravity and stupidity win every time. Imagine being up a mountain relying on this clown to belay you or to fix gear properly.
The second one is scary as hell , imagine the person was by himself , there could have been a chance nobody would have noticed , this is why you have to be with someone when you do stuff like this
Wait i need to know the ending my anxiety was so badd he was under for a good 2 mins almost. And that's scary because you panic and breathing gets shallow and under hard packed snow afterwards doesnt help. also the first one their called air pockets, i went sledding with my friends saturday feb29. and a guy fell down a air pocket of snow , it was over his head but thankfully he survived and got out safely with 5 of his friends with him.
the second video of the kid trapped under the snow was terrifying his muffled screams of "help" were just trying and trying to come out and he was crying when the other man came to save him but he was just unable to scream because of the heavy snow. It seemed like trying to scream in a dream.
I feel so bad for all the people that these things happen to. A lot of them are just trying to have fun and then something like this happens. I can't imagine how terrifying it has to be for them...I hope all you people that see this don't have to experience anything like this in your lives. Have a good day y'all. Edit: I know a lot of people do this but, wow! Thank you so much for almost 300 likes! That's the most I've ever gotten I think! :D
I got stuck in a tree well once. I was skiing in a mostly open run, and there was a blind curve; being the absolute speed demon that I am, I took it at like 25mph. Right after the curve, there were 2 trees really close together, and I managed to not hit either, but got stuck between them in the well. Lost my skis, poles, and gloves, but since I was wearing a bright green helmet, I was pulled out like 10 mins later by a passing snowboarder who almost ran into my head, but was going much slower and stopped in time. Those 10 mins were among the scariest of my life. Nobody was around, I couldn't get out, and breathing was hard since my lungs and diaphragm were squished. I was trying to figure out what I was gonna do when the snowboarder came by, and maybe saved my life. I don't know who he was, but if you're reading this, thanks. I might have died if not for you. I owe you one.
I think I don't understand the danger because I'm imagining you could just climb the tree and save yourself?? I live in The Netherlands so I have absolutely no idea
Dont scratch it skiing is tje most fun you will ever have. It takes a little time to get comfy with but when you do, its a blast just flying down the side of a mountain.
U can go skiin the alps just do the blue or red paths and you're good to go, these kind of incidents happen if you go on harder paths that often times are unmarked. Also treewells need lots of snow to become dangerous.
Near death? I wish they were all dead instead. Everyone in the video is an idiot who deserved death very much. I mean, Ice climbing without rope, skiing mountain slopes prone for avalanches, driving at high speed that can cause death when impact.. This video should be titled unsatisfying video, because they didn't die.
@@beny988 7:04, so simply by driving they are deemed an idiot? Or how about the kid who got stuck and his dad helped him? Maybe think about what you're typing so you don't look like an idiot yourself.
The line is for him to come up, but whoever was on charge, he just kept lowering more, as hard as he tries to pull himself up, theres nothing to pull himself up from, he was out of air
@@jamesk7063 Yes brother but the risk folks taking in the vid are just for fun. It'd be sad for the people they left if they die those ways. But I should be minding my own business am I right?
Suffocating under snow would be slow and scary due to the fact that snow has small air spaces for oxygen, same goes with dieing cause of a fire cause your more likely to suffocate to death than cause of the fire
@@dmac2899 what about the rope or the humans that decided to help him? God can't manipulate free will. You're own religion is making you look stupid hahaha why do you believe in a fairy tale that you know nothing about?
Lol I'm laughing rn When I was going to change my nickname long ago, I wanted to type something like "твоя бабушка" ("your granny") but I didn't. And now I see another person with nickname "your granny" too, who wrote a comment about !!!decisions!!! I love this coincidence :D
Lolol a lil text at the bottom is annoying? I wouldnt have known the glider guy ended up unconscious or that snow hardened like rock in an avalanche. Or seen the massive boulder before it hit the ground. Lotta stuff that I'm glad the dude pointed out
@@default254 Ok but did you really need him to point out the fact that the motercycles almost hit when it's right in the video? There is just some things that were added that were completely useless just because he wanted text on every one. The rock one I have to disagree with because it's fairly obvious what had happened there
being trapped in snow makes you feel helpless, you’re lying there and there’s this giant weight on you, and when you try to call or struggle you’re completely drowned out. Imagine being drowned in what feels like air and weighs on your body. It’s horrible and I hate the feeling

@Barry G because it's poor humor duh, I mean it didn't took me so much to think of that comment though it's not so elaborated and it's easy to get... I just didn't imagine someone will take it too seriously to insult me, why so mean dude? No one ever called me a dumbfuck before that's so hilarious and new to me I have to add it to my list of rare insults.
Laying down on belly in the side of tunel it will make you no harm... And if the tunel have nou places to stay safe on your legs that means is a shit tunnel.
@@floridianrailauto9032 Really? I guess the tracks dont need a periodical inspection. And i guess if they need it than the schedule must be stopped for that. Think twice before you answer.
Most intense shit I’ve ever seen. You cpu,d tell he was in total shock. Like how do you even comprehend what just happened. The people were saving him were awesome though, talking to him and all.
I sprained my ankle and had to be carried a mile home just from stepping on a pebble. A fucking PEBBLE! Smaller than a Lego. My grandma has gotten a concussion walking over a speed bump, black eyes from changing the ceiling fan speed and getting hit by it. If anyone is going to die from something as stupid as falling out of a chair, it'd probably be me. Weird part was the year before the pebble assault I fell in the exact same spot when the dog's leash broke when she took off after a squirrel. My neighbors probably thought I had issues but the pebble confirmed it. I need to be wrapped up in bubble wrap along with my grandma.
After I heard that poor guy whimpering, buried in the snow, I couldn't watch anymore. Imagine the sheer terror. Even more chilling because it was real.
@Centralist Australia I know but when the snow pushes you down more adds on top and closes in so you would no where to move to get out witch not even the strongest can get out
Wait you mean you laid down and the train went over you???? And in the tunnels is there enough room on the side of the tunnels to stand. I know some tunnels are super tight but some wider.
When i was 15 we went to this dam/waterfall area were i live but they had opened the dams floodgates that day which made the waterfall about 300% more water haha. Me being an overconfident teen thought it would be a good idea to jump into the bit were the waterfall crashed but as i jumped and landed i realised that the force of the waterfall was pushing ne under. I was stuck there for 3 mins, was announced dead for 7mins, was flowen into hospital and told what happened. There was easily 40+ people there that day, that could all see what happened. Only 1 person decided to help me on that day, out of EVERYONE there, a patched, tattoeoed from head to toe gang member saved my life. Thank you Sarsie for being a great human being brother, some people may see you as a scary gang member but your a hero in my eyes.
Great story, thank you for sharing. Yes waterfalls are dangerous for this reason and saw where you were heading as soon as I started reading. Hope you share with others so they don’t think to do the same
This is actually a phenomenon explained in Malcom Gladwell's book, "The Tipping Point," where the more people in a vicinity there are witnessing someone in distress, the less likely they are to help that distressed person.
i expected this to be some clickbait trash, but it was actually a really good video. man those clips were intense! and the commentary was actually helpful. thank you :)
wiawaysb I don’t really know. The reason I watch them is mainly because I like the intense thrill of watching near death experiences in my cardboard VR thing that I have. Its really cool to see stuff like this in VR, it gives it a thrill and a realistic feeling as if you were in the moment yourself.
