Are road trips a thing over there? While it's entirely possible to drive from Shanghai to London (give or take a couple ferries), I don't see much about euro-trips. And having been to a fair amount of eastern Europe and some of western Europe, it's rather pretty, if a bit crowded. Gimme the deets.
@Fallon144
@Fallon144 6 лет назад
Mostly within Western/Eastern Europe. I wouldn't venture too far east, it's just too unpredictable/unstable. (Turkey, Iran, Iraq etc.)
@steffeeH
@steffeeH 6 лет назад
A very common thing here in northern europe is to drive south through germany into the alps, and then furter south into france, italy, croatia, etc. It's very nice feeling to cross into country after country, though I gotta say I wish I could feel the feeling of driving vast distances all within the same country.
@mariomatovina4
@mariomatovina4 6 лет назад
steffeeH, that's one thing that makes me wish I lived in US. A whole continent with the same language, same culture, free to move wherever you wish. Yes, it's possible to do that in Europe but in many situations you will need to learn local language and that alone can be very difficult.

Saw my house in this one. I drive this route to California twice a year, and am even doing it tomorrow for a friends wedding. I love that pass going through Arizona along the virgin river. Saw mountain goats in there once a few years ago. If anyone ever takes this route down 15, I recommend the hotels in St. George. Nice quiet and clean.

We used to visit Vegas twice a year from our home in Orem (almost saw my house from the freeway) and I love the Virgin River gorge. St. George is such a nice place to stay. Good food everywhere too. UT has a pretty incredible concentration of national parks all really close to each other.

You may not have realized this, but when you were in Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and California you were running roughly parallel to some major Union Pacific Railroad subdivisions. You paralleled the UPRR (Montana Sub) from about Idaho Falls ID to Pocatello ID. The (Pocatello Sub) from Pocatello ID to McCammon ID. The (Ogden Sub) from McCammon ID to Ogden UT. The (Salt Lake Sub) from Ogden UT to Salt Lake City UT. The (Provo Sub) from Salt Lake City UT to Provo UT. The (Sharp Sub) from Provo UT to Lynndyl UT. The (Lynndyl Sub) from Lynndyl UT to Milford UT. The (Caliente Sub) from Milford UT to Las Vegas NV. The (Cima Sub) from Las Vegas NV to Yermo CA. The (Los Angeles Sub) from Yermo CA to Daggett CA. The (Los Angeles Sub) will merge into the BNSF (Needles Sub) in Daggett CA then into Barstow CA. From Barstow CA, the BNSF Subdivision will be the (Cajon Sub) into San Bernardino CA and the UPRR (Mojave Sub) from Victorville CA to San Bernardino CA. You will then roughly parallel the UPRR (Alhambra Sub) from San Bernardino CA to downtown Los Angeles CA.

So cool! Love your videos, and the quality of them! I really enjoy videos like this, and traveling/driving! I'm from Idaho Falls, ID, and was excited to see you pass through my home town, and through Blackfoot and Pocatello! I have a few friends who are studying at Idaho State University, and frequently make the drive to Pocatello. So I'm happy to see it in a video like this! I lived in Moscow, ID for awhile, and highly recommend checking out the northern part of the state! The scenery along I-90 from Montana to Coeur d'Alene, and US-95 between Sandpoint to Lewiston is absolutely gorgeous! Also, not as much semi-arid desert as southern Idaho, haha. 😂 Hope you enjoyed your time in Eastern Idaho! Best wishes, from Idaho Falls!

I also genuinely recommend that you could take a mid-western road trip that goes through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, you could visit the city of Chicago of Illinois, Wisconsin, and you can do a huge drive through Minnesota! I live in Minnesota of the United States of America and I genuinely think that it is a phenomenal state that should really be a destination. There are tons of wilderness and wildlife, especially if you go up north to Duluth of Minnesota and then to International Falls and Bemidji of Minnesota. You could really enjoy a full Minnesotan trip or even a mid-western trip! I truly recommend it not only because I live there but because it is a nice place that many disregard visiting. (: You should make a trip that goes from Virginia to Miami of Florida. Florida is a vast place with tons of swamp and scenery. I think Miami would be a phenomenal place to visit as it is a popular place in Florida! It would be a phenomenal drive and I think that would be my suggestion. Another suggestion I have is that you could drive to Texas! It is another amazing place and maybe driving to Houston or San Antonio would be a nice place to drive and because Texas is a place that I do not think you have made a video on and for Florida, visiting Miami could be a phenomenal experience that I truly recommend. (: Thank you for reading this if you do decide to read them and your videos are phenomenal so continue enjoying your passion and making a difference by doing this.

Thank you! It just so happens that I am planning a New York-California trip next month, and I plan to go through Ohio, Indiana, Chicago, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. I also plan to travel through many of the areas that I did in this video, mainly because I want to record the spectacular areas of these states with the better camera that I have, and because I loved doing this drive so much that I'm willing to do much of again. I already have a trip between Virginia to Miami that is part of my East Coast Road Trip video. That video ends in Key West, and I did virtually the entire drive down to Miami on I-95, bypassing downtown. Because of that, I may do another drive down there, this time taking a side road such as US-1 or similar instead of just being on the interstate all the time.

Wonderful video, for the well done and for those extraordinary landscapes, especially those of the Southwest and the Rocky Mountains. I love your country, in part thanks to your videos. I have downloaded some of them and I have divided them into chapters of half an hour, to be able to see them on the television. It is as if I had traveled comfortably through the US. And if you allow me some suggestions, I think that when you go through the most emblematic places should lower the speed of the video a bit if possible, for example in Bad Lands, Zion National park, etc. and also when it stops at some of those more beautiful places I think I should interject a brief panoramic view of the place (at normal speed, of course) or some photo; It is frustrating to know that you are a few meters from the Colorado Canyon or the Devil's Tower and not see anything. By the way, you say you make the trips in rented cars, how do you get the camera so fast in the car? Thank you very much for your videos and keep traveling.

Having traveled in NW Wyoming several times when I was a traveling salesman I found that if you want to go from Worland to Cody it is faster to go on US 20 AWAY from Cody till you get to highway 431. Amazing video. It is your first but it isn't the first I found. I quite enjoyed the rainstorm in Iowa's and South Dakota. I was astounded at all the mountains in western south Dakota. You went from there into Wyoming. You seem to know a few shortcuts known to few. I presume you left Santa Monica in a short time. For your next video. I've been watching travel vids for several months. Several rail drivers in Bulgaria have posted real time vids from the train cab. The are two real good ones from Montenegro. Since you like travel vids you might enjoy them. There are also tons from England and Scandinavia These drivers have shown must of their countries to the world and I'm sure have promoted tourism. I'll save my other comments for your other videos.

@unclecoolie 6 лет назад
Thanks! I started doing these videos because last year I had the chance to do major drives, and because I couldn't find decent time-lapse videos here on RU-vid (either the image quality was bad or the speed was way too fast), and for years I've been flying coast-to-coast but never have I had the chance to do all the driving that I did in 2017. Because I'm getting so much support for these videos, I'm going to do more. I plan a big trip or two late this spring, early summer. I'm still working out the details, but I want to drive up into Canada, or maybe down into Florida.
