1991 was the best Nebraska team I've seen in my lifetime, but couldn't get past Brian Grant and Xavier despite getting a 3 seed. They were big at every position and everyone could score. But if this 2024 Nebraska team finally gets a NCAA tournament win, their gonna have to build statues in front of the arena back home, hang their jerseys in the rafters, and call them the unforgettables (like the '92 kentucky guys). This is as about as good as it gets for Nebraska bball😁. I hope whoever they hire as AD doesn't do the typical AD thing, he wasn't my guy, so look to make a change at any opening to do so in the near future. There's finally a glimmer of hope, that if Fred Hoiberg wants to stay til retiring we'd be overjoyed if he chooses to do so. Joe Cipriano was before my time, I was a few years old, the older guys on the radio said they had some success under him, 20-5 etc and cancer took him young. Obviously Danny Nee was the only real period of success the basketball program had before now. I just hope the new AD realizes how lucky Lincoln is to have Hoiberg as the coach and let him do his thing in the years to come. We may never have it this good again for decades if someone in administration says or does the wrong thing to screw this up (in the years to come).

Indiana is dogshit and got absolutely owned, Nebraska passing and their D showed them up. Nebraska could have hit 1/3rd of their 3s,and they still would have won by 10 at least.

Agree. I think the better team clearly won this game. Nebraska has better coaching and execution. And man can they shoot! I also don't think the refs are biased. But I do think they are horribly inconsistent, and far too lenient most of the time. There will be ten plays in a row with players knocking the crap out each other with no call, then on the 11th play the whistle will blow, and nobody can figure out what the call was because there was little or no contact. Then on the very next play, it's back to overlooking hacks, shoves, and hooking. It's crazy, and frustrating to watch because it overshadows skill and strategy.
