NECA DRACULA Universal Monsters Ultimate Action Figure Review 

While it's not something for me, I do love these figures because they make me think of Suncoast in the late 00s. Figures and merch for movies and franchises that I only vaguely knew from cultural osmosis. As much as I love all the pop culture stuff aimed directly at me, theres a charm to the "strangeness" of seeing stuff like these. Especially so well done. I really want to make a Universal Monsters style display but from all the off-brand types. Nosferatu, Shape Of water swamp monster, American werewolf, etc.

I've been collecting NECA's Universal Monsters output since they announced them, and so far they're amazing. Sculpt is on point, articulation is great, actor likenesses are unrivaled, even the accessory packs are pretty nice. Drac might be my favorite (But recency bias may be in effect) Jada Toys has their own line but it's in another scale and the likenesses are more like generic versions of the characters ala Monster Squad (Save for Invisible Man, it's pretty spot on) EDIT: Fun fact: Bela Lugosi's second performance as Dracula was actually in Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein, almost 2 decades since the original film. He had other bit parts in the Universal Monsters legacy but was stuck doing B-pictures in the 40s

I think these Universal Monsters figures are pretty cool. I look at them as reminders of the classics and introducing new generations to the genre and roots of modern horror films.

Universal Horror I learned to love because it reminds me of my dad for some reason. And memories are all I have of him now.

I prefer the Jada Toys version. But, love NECA as a whole. They’re local and the corporate office is only 3 right turns from my house

I'm a horror fanatic, old and new stuff. Favorite era being the 70's So yeah been a big buyer of neca for a long time, since 03 at least. I love where they are at right now with all their lines and properties. If money and space was no issue I would have way more. Great review!

i really enjoy the universal monsters. I appreciate how hard they worked on the different sets and costumes back in that time.

Neca is really nailing it with their horror figures, have been collecting a bunch of them. Their universal monster line is awesome ! I hope to get this one soon and put him up their next to my Frankenstein and wolfman, great video !

Horror figures in general are my number 1 collected action figures and statues….so yes! Dracula is actually my number 1 too. I love to collect vampires.

I'm into the Universal Monsters, but have been only picking the characters that I like. Currently waiting for the Phantom of the Opera.

I loved the Universal Monsters movies as a kid. The Wolf Man was my first introduction to horror movies and werewolves. I really hope we get one of these ultimate figures of him

Just bought this guy today. Really into horror material. Been mostly impressed with the NECA material not 100% perfect but not bad!

I have the Frankenstein and a few mummies. I want to get the Dracula, the mummy accessory set and maybe the Dracula accessory set.

I think Neca does a great visual job with it's figures, they even care for the accessories, at that price point the other entry level brands just dream that quality.

I need to measure and see how this scales next to NECA's Flash Gordon and Phantom. Otherwise I think this is pretty good. I wish the inner lining of the cape was red.

i love horror movies so this was cool to see. I know they’re not your favorite but your reviews are the most honest on youtube. Necas horror figures have some pretty big flaws sometimes.

Big fan of universal monster movies. This figure looks great. The others released as well. I may be picking up the black and white versions. Definitely interested in more reviews of these types of figures. Nice review 👍

I love the black and white classic monster movies. My favorite is the Boris Karloff Frankenstein. So seeing them in action figure form is a great idea. Im gonna buy.

I never noticed that you never really do review horror figures. Tons of NECA, but oddly enough, most of the NECA figures I have are horror characters. Or at least the best representation of a given character. Jason, from "Friday the 13th Part VII" is the coolest looking iteration of him, IMHO, so that is the one I have. I am not into the classic Monsters, but have thought about grabbing some to have a more complete collection of horror characters, just not sure if I should go with the color or black and white versions.

I grew up with the Universal monsters initially through cultural osmosis, seeing them pop up in cartoons or at Halloween, I saw pretty much all the films when I was maybe 8 or 9, but I never saw the original Dracula. To me I never found him interesting as a kid probably because he was the least outwardly monstrous, he was just a guy in a suit and cape with teeth who you could beat with garlic. It wasn't until I was slightly older and saw things like Christopher Lee's bloodier version of Dracula that I was won over to that character, so I've never really had any attachment to the original version, especially since upon finally seeing it the film itself doesn't really hold up. I've picked up all the other Neca figures from this line but I'm skipping this one, mainly since Neca announced they have the Hammer license so I'll hold out for Christopher Lee's Dracula.

I thought the same thing about the diaper, the first time I saw pics of the figure.... but I went and looked and Bella's pants actually kinda looked like that in the movie. Lol! Maybe not QUITE as big looking, but definitely more than I originally thought. Sik

Anthony, the big four were a must for me Dracula is the last. I have one of each. One is black and white the rest color paint applications..if I can the color version of Dracula but maybe the b &w. It's cape season Darwin is styling. Great review ✌️

I got a question for the end of the year thing you and most reviews do. Could you add a top 5 category (or rank the toy makers you bought or reviewed this year) for each company? Something that bases each company on good, bad and horrible releases based on your ranking system throughout the year as an average.

A 6 inch version would be ideal. Not crazy about the jada qc stuff

Can you review the jada toys universal monsters figures? Would like to see your opinion on them and it would be a nice preview to the street fighter figures while we wait for their release.

No connection to this version of dracula at all, but I clicked on there video anyways because it looked cool which is often the case for neca figures.

Sadly you're never into "that kind of stuff" I mean the good stuff but at least you got to review it.
