It was definitely worth it for someone like me! My Wal-Mart didn't carry the Neca TMNT movie figures and I got lucky to find these guys earlier this week..... and I payed $63 for them and have no regrets
I paid $55 for the set despite owning both the SDCC set and the Gamestop releases. I took the accessories and sold off the figures for $50. That's how you play the game
I waited a few years to get these! They are on sale at my local Walmart for $25. So is the oroku saki and hamato yoshi set! The Kacy jones and April O’Neal set too! I’m just cashing in on them now. I’m glad I waited lol
I feel like the quality of the walmart two packs isn’t as nice when it comes to paint jobs or care in packaging. I’ve seen so many super glittery Shredders and Splinters with wonky eye paint jobs. I had a Casey and Raph in disguise two pack and Raph was cross-eyed. It was the only one I found at that time and ended up finding another and exchanging it for a 2 pack with a better paint job. I feel like the exclusives from cons and gamestop have better quality control.
First time I found any tmnt at any of my walmarts I found 4 of these 2 packs. I too have the gamestop releases but just felt wrong to not walk away with a couple packs so I bought 2🤷🏾♂️
Same! I have the Gamstop versions and hadn't planned on getting this, but then found two at a nearby Walmart. It was the first (and probably only) time I'd ever seen a NECA TMNT exclusive at Walmart, so I grabbed one.
I just payed 30$ for the splinter, all his accessories and shredders knife on eBay used. But was in a display case, so like new. No box. Don’t care. I’m perfectly happy with this. But I don’t have multiples and I wouldn’t spend 50$ for pizza and slippers. Unless I was just going to resale them which you probably can. Or how about hooking a friend up that doesn’t have a splinter or shredder at all?

Depends, the new 3D cartoon cell shades turtles on Nickelodeon is terrible. I hated that they ruined the turtles drawing. Now if you can find the 1990 Turtles cartoon then yes. There is also the rare Ninja Turtles The Arcade Video Game figurines and you won’t find them anywhere other than EBay.
I understand why you'd be upset at having to hunt down and pay $55 for 2 figures that were previously released with additional accessories (to "sweeten" the pot). This set was a way for NECA to re-release previously released figures under a different store "exclusive" (if I remember correctly Randy stating the reasoning behind these re-releases something along the lines of "enhance or increase the value of these [past] collectibles"). It just seems that NECA is deliberately [mis]handling their own distribution to further increase demand by shorting their own stock and then re-release it under the guise of "hey guys, we're not bad guys, we're giving you a chance to own these previously store exclusives!" While the latest releases are getting a little better, distribution-wise, their explanation and handling of this issue is still quite a joke.
i too have the gamestop release version's of thease figures. However! if i should see this two pack i will also get it. so i guess i'll be stupid too. lol im not a completeis, but it is a good way to have back ups for my toys that i love to play with. my wife thinks its hilarious. And she likes the stuff i get. i got her into geting toys too. And my son. Good times Maddy my Bro! Good video👍
I think the new Shredder has a more straight but angry mouth, while the old one seems to have the right side of his mouth more raised. But it could just be the light.
Yeah I’ve seen these a lot at Walmart’s and I’ve passed for the same reason it’s not worth it ! It’s meant for people who don’t have splinter or shredder
Mad Hatter, to have such a problem....my Walmart has been bare of NECA TMNT movie figures for most of 2020...distribution , scalpers, not sure...at this point unless NECA solicits them for preorder I am done. The employees look at you like you want keys to the executive bathroom;)I did get my super shredder.. but yeah...NECA online. Be Well.
I saw these at Wal-Mart by surprise. I wasn't even hunting or expecting to see them. Out of the blue, there they were. 2 sets and I just passed on them. I said to myself, I already have these. Yea they come with new accessories but do I really need it. Nah, I'll just spend my $55 dollars on new sets of new characters to come. I feel good about it. Leave to those who missed out on it.
This is the first TMNT Neca item I have found at my local Walmart. I go all the time and I always check for these figures. Never see any. It was so strange it wasn’t even in the normal section where it should be. It was actually in the clearance section on sale for $45. It must have just been put there that day, at least that’s what the clearance tag was dated. 12/20/2020. There was two of them, I only picked up one. So weird and random I have no idea why it was on clearance even though it was only five dollars difference.
I just found this 2 pack at my walmart too and i been checking atleast twice a week for the last two months . Felt like i hit the lottery when i seen them on the shelf
A funny story from me about this 2-pack. I was searching online for this, and found a Walmart that was an hour away from me that said they had 5 in stock. I called them up, asked if they could hold one for me, and they said that their inventory didn’t list it. Told me they’d call if they found it. Later that day I took a trip to my local Walmart and ended up finding it. Consider myself lucky.
When was the last time you saw the original movies? You should do a video of the characters yet you be released and what accessories you think will come with them.
I found 2 locally (only neca tmnts I've seen in store) so had to pick one up, on principle. Both of the new shredder head sculpts appear to have crooked helmets, not the metal mesh part but the actual fins, it's an eye soar, wondering if this is common? On either of the shredder sculpts. Also the packaging bent some of his outer leg spikes aswell. Just something to be aware of for anyone looking to buy these.
This was a perfect buy for me because I missed the original Splinter release. In fact, these 2-packs are the only reason I finally own my favorite Turtles. I missed the SDCC VHS box 4-pack, I missed all the re-issues and individual GameStop etc. The Capture of Splinter 4-pack... The only ones I got were Shredder, and both Foot Soldiers on clearance at GameStop that is no longer in business. No idea where they came from as they weren't there a previous time I had been in. I could not find the Turtles anywhere, nor Splinter... So for $50 ($49.96 here) I got Splinter and ask the accessories, an extra Shredder and his accessories. I figured it's not so bad since I had to get another Raphael to get Casey Jones, even if he did have a trench coat. I can't get Splinter to stand, still. The tail just pushes him up and tosses him
I think the Capture of Splinter's robe is more tattered & dirty since they beat'em up in that scene, the Walmart one is more clean as in the scene when Leo slices the pizza slice onto Master Splinter's head. Plus I dont recall Master Splinter wearing slippers @ any point in the 1990 movie🤔
I still have never seen any TMNT 2 packs at Walmart. It's super rare but I have found the Target 2 packs. NECA needs to just sell this shit online as well as in store.
I can see the refinement of the Shredder face, and it lies with the mouth. The old Shredder looks like he has a "I tasted a bad lemon" kind-of-scrunch to his lips. The new one seems like he passed on biting the lemon, and is sitting there with a "hmmph . . . glad I passed on tasting that shit", kind-of-face.
Hey mad hatter I seriously think that neca is going to release a fourth version of all the tmnt movie character figures they seem to be first released as a comic con exclusive mid range four packs and then as single figure with basic accessories then double pack with four extra accessories for each character figure and finally the version that will anger all the tmnt collectors who brought them in their previous three versions wait for it neca tmnt movie ultimates single character figures bundled with all the previous accessories including the extra tmnt movie turtle swappable heads and accessories which are featured in the upcoming neca tmnt movie accessory pack. This is nuts why are neca trying to make us buy these figures four times over they should be finalised with all extra accessories in the second neca tmnt movie figure single character releases. I don't see neca doing four different versions of characters from any of their other neca movie figure lines usually they just make a basic character figure with accessories and then rerelease it as a neca ultimate or deluxe version with even more accessories and thats it just like they did with the scream ghost face figure for example. Hell they aren't even doing this with the neca tmnt cartoon version double packs which are only being released once with all accessories included what is wrong with neca.
I missed out on the SDCC exclusives then GameStop screwed me over on my turtles preorder. I had preordered all four ninja turtles and when I went to pick them up I found out they had sold my Raphael to someone else because he was a friend of the manager and he hadn’t preordered that figure. Anyway needless to say FUCK GameStop I was so pissed I canceled my order and got my money back. Now these two packs came out and I randomly found Leo and Donny at one Walmart and tried to buy them immediately. Much to my dismay the guy in electronics told me he couldn’t sell them to me because of some street date bullshit but let some other guy buy the two pack this video was showing. Turns out that guy was his friend and asked him to save the two pack I was trying to buy. I got the manager involved and in the end that electronics douche got in trouble and I got managers deal (whatever that is) where he called me a few days later to tell me they had more two packs. Once I got there I found all four turtles and they sold me the two separate two packs for the price of one. So I ended up getting all four turtles for $50. Then I found the splinter and shredder two pack in a suburb of where I live that had it on clearance for some reason. It said it was $30 but when I rung it up it was $10.99. I almost shit my pants I was so excited. Plus I got the deluxe KC Jones for $15 along with super shredder so man I am so glad they released these again. Oh ya and Trevor in electronics quit a few days ago because he got in big trouble. Mainly because I went back to the first Walmart to buy queens greatest hit on vinyl and when he saw me he wouldn’t ring me up then tried to spit on me. So again I called the manager and the cops got involved. So he decided to quit on the spot and run out to his car. I’m not pressing charges but my daughter said she went to GameStop of all places and guess who was working there. Sorry my story is long and sucks but oh well just sharing the story of a collector. ✌🏻

I've come across a couple things, not proud of buying them.. Because it's kind of worthless in such a skimpy collection
10 months later to your no reply. I never liked the movie shredder outfit. They should’ve matched the color and outfit exactly like the cartoon and comics. Directors always try to allow the costume designer screwing up the outfits.
