Years ago, I used to think that the McFarlane one was the more movie accurate version than the Neca one, but now the Ultimate version just blows it out of the park. The likeness of Neca’s version is really good, second only to Mafex, but that one is too short/small for my liking. The proportions are spot on. Articulation aside, it’s an awesome figure and simply a must-have for Robo fans.
I must admit that I prefer the McFarlane helmet. It's a bit bigger and feels like a helmet on a human head. I've always thought that the Neca helmets seemed really thin compared with the McFarlane one. Still a gorgeous figure and well worth it for the Peter Weller face.
I recently purchased the last version of MacReady from the Thing. He also had what looked to either be a crack or scratch. It was just some glue, it came right off. I hope yours has the same issue
You did not read the included instructions regarding the gun gimmick- only push the front panel when closing. You can break it by pushing the side one supposedly.
