These are the BEST Necchi instructions ever! Thank you So Much!!!! I just need to add,. I need to watch the entire video BEFORE I start taking apart anything..... Do NOT take off the little c-clip on top of the cam!
This is incredibly helpful; I just got an Ultra in which the cam drive is not working and I think it's this exact problem although I haven't gotten inside yet (just got the machine yesterday). Is there anything we need to know about putting the cam drive back in the machine? What is the long loop piece on the far right side of the cam drive; where does it attach in the machine? Thank you so much for these helpful tutorials!
Thank you for the kind words. When taking apart, just pay attention to where the parts interlock. It's very easy. Unfortunately I haven't found the time to show it in a short video. With caution and patience, it will certainly work. I hope this helps for the moment.
@@necchi-pavia Thank you; I think I see where everything goes now. The drive has freed up and I'll put it back together after cleaning everything. One question, though; where does the cam on the driveshaft have to be for the re-install (i.e., does the take-up lever have to be at the top, or...). Also, there's a spring on the back of the cam drive indicator that seems to have come loose; a very thing spring that hooks on either side of the metal piece; do you happen to have a picture of it installed correctly? Thank you very much for your help!
I open the mechanism and take all apart. Spring, etc... Clean all part. I dismantle all the mechanism, but don’t know how to build it the right way. Did you have a video for this step????? Thanks a lot. You speak German, Spanish???? Hope to get some help from you!!!! Dario
Hello J.A., the service manual suggest to disconnect the pull-rod from pin by pushing it to the left with a screwdriver or with a finger. Have you tried this instead to unscrew the pull-rod? with this metod the setting is preserved. regards
@angela luto Hello thanks for the tip, unfortunately I have no repair instructions for the supernova, so I tried it. However, it is not very difficult to find the settings again, and I have seen some machines where it was not correct before. Thanks again.

Is it possible to do a video for the Julia cam removal. There was another video that you replied to and the guy didn’t follow the manual instructions. I know the buttons have to be set a certain way. I would like to remove mine but a video would be more helpful
If you remove the cam drive mechanism on a Julia, the basic settings for full automatic bottomhole is lost for ever. Corse the mechanism is different to a Supernova (including Ultra and Ultra Mark 2) There is a permanent gear ratio 1:10 that drives the Grund plate for factory assembly cams.... Don't dismantle and remove the cam drive mechanism! The Julia I show in my video, whit removed cam drive mechanism lost the function "bottomhole" ! Nobody have the special tool and knowledge to adjust the machine.
Are you saying you don’t have the right cam to adjust and test everything? Im confused! as a bunch of people have said they have taken them out and went according to the service manual steps which included putting in a certain cam the Turkish Stitch or setting knobs to certain numbers. I am on the fence whether to take the cam out. We have the instructions which are very detailed on what to do and I have all the cams for testing to time the gears and such. Is it just the buttonhole function you say you will lose if you don’t take the right steps or every function of the machine?
