Really pretty combination and nice sewing! ❤️ I like 809 or Craft Fuse in the card slots, too. Nice and sturdy. And I like the extra room from putting the snap up higher. 👍 This is my favorite wallet to make - I use Jessica Cruzan's simplified version except that I always put in two zipper pockets and I curve the front of the flap. I made the first couple of dozen on a 1947 Singer 15-91 and sewing those final side pieces was mur. Der. 😄 I bought an industrial and a hand press and those changed *everything.* Thank you so much for all the hours of videos, you young women are keeping me company. 😊
Thank you so much for this video! I watched it the other day and decided to try it out today. Thanks for sewing with me all day today! ha! It took me most of the day to get it made, and I'm loving it! It really helped watching you sew each step...then I would pause the video and do each step. Really like how you do your videos! :)
You are a very classy woman. Thank you for your generous sharing and offer of support. Somehow you manage to make a classy outcome out of most everything you make.
Thank you. I bought the material and pattern two years ago. Tried making by reading just the pattern. Could not figure out. Thank you so much for making this video. I watched two others and found your instructions easy to follow and very Helpful. Thank you,
I do like the way you did this video. Seemed clear and not rushed. Also, the rivets! Appreciate they were not installed out of view. I struggle with the simplest details. Thank you :)
I Have just watched your very interesting video. Having made a couple myself, even now I have picked up some wonderful tips, which I will incorporate in my next wallet., however one tip I have which you may find useful is ,when you are measuring to insert the magnetic fastener, use the bottom of the fastener (the one with the holes in), rather than the piece with the prongs. Lay this piece down flat on your fabric and mark through the two little slits, and then make your cut. I think this is much easier than trying to make a mark with the prongs. Thank you for the tutorial. I am in the UK , and will be watching for further tutorials from you.
Thanks for doing this video, K! Lots of great tips on both WHEN & WHERE to place the 🧲 . I learned a great deal watching you make this & you have a great camera angle set up for viewing, too. BRAVO! 👏
I made an NCW using the directions that came with the pattern. It turned out ok but the zipper pocket didn’t turn out great. I used your method for both and wow, what a difference. SO much better. Thanks so much for taking the time to video tutorials!
I have watched a few videos now on how to make thee NCW wallet. And your video is the BEST one I have seen. Exactly what I was looking for . Thank you sooo much. Clear instructions. I can’t hardly wait to start my wallet now.
Just because of this tutorial...... I'm going to try making this.. IT'S AMAZING!! I LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DO! YOU MAKE LOOK EVERYTHING SUPER EASY and FUN. THANKS Beautiful Lady!🥰
I am so pleased you decided to share your knowledge with us. I am a visual learner and you couldn’t have made this tutorial any clearer. I’m in the middle of constructing my wallet and am enjoying it so much, thank you!
i really gotta say ty for all of your tutorials. i was putting this one way back in my head because at first it intimidated me. with you and your tutorial, i now have a favorite wallet. kudos and ty so much
I watched you the whole time and I started to understand what you did and why. Thank you. I feel better about doing this🥰- i dont have those appliances or whatever- oh will maybe I'll changed my mind😆
I have been struggling with this pattern. After watching you do it I can’t wait to finish it now. Thankyou.I do watch all of your videos as I’m new to bag making.cheers
Another great video. I like that you are relaxed and not afraid to show your thought process. You have just the right amount of talking to showing. I also like that you are not afraid to do something different from what's in the pattern. In addition to getting a good handle on the pattern, I learned something in this video about positioning my left hand. Also, I love to watch your machine. It has such a nice sound and pinpoint accuracy! I don't know if you would consider trying the Apricate clutch (or if you're allowed). It has a zillion pieces . . .
Beautiful wallet! I've always been afraid of this pattern simply because of the folds. I know I would never be able to fit those in my machine, but the rivets look much easier. Maybe I will purchase it now. You would think at 60 years old I would know how to do that, so thank you so much for demonstrating that on camera.
sorry to be off topic but does anyone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Carter Layton Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I really enjoyed watching this video. I got many tips that made it so much easier to sew. I hope you continue making videos you do a great job thank you again.
Fab tutorial, thank you for taking the time to share it. I have this pattern but not made it yet. I have that hole punch, I love it too and cheap as chips. x
I made one quite a while ago and goofed up the back, so I added a little pocket on the back to cover up my mistake. best thing I ever did. easy to stick a folded $20 or a frequently used credit card without having to open the wallet. I need to make another, but need to make it a bit bigger. I have way too much junk.
Thank you for showing how to use the rivets machine. I’ve been contemplating on buying one but you sold me. And great tutorial. So easy to follow! I am now subscribed :)
Thank you again! made my own wallet! I just love making this! especially with your video guiding me.. I wouldn't be able to complete it otherwise... Thanx again...HAPPY NEW YEAR!! muah! This is my 2nd wallet... APRIL 12th I've made 12 now. I use your video every time... extremely helpful with the zipper pocket...lol..
I'm in the middle of making my first NCW in the same fabrics as The Sheera bag I did last week to use with it....again thank you Kassiah for your brilliant tutorial for this wallet too..you make a world of difference to my learning experiences..Lindy xo.
Thanks for sharing your time to show us how to do this wallet,,I’m going to try and make my first wallet,,can you send me which press you got and what rivets,,thanks
I’ve watched all your “lessons” You are the very best. Your detailing methods are giving me so much encouragement to try things I never would have. I really want to make the everything wallet but was still worried about attaching the zipper pocket. I read the comment from TheFoxSews and your replies. That sounds like it could work on my Epic2. I was wondering if you’ve heard how she made out. Thanks again for everything. I am truly appreciative.
I really love the wallet. If I may suggest something. When you added the inner section and sewed it with white thread, it took so much from wallet. If you sewed the middle section together and put rivets to connect the outside piece. I personally think it would add so much to the wallet. You do beautiful work. I love to watch you channel.
Thank you so much for the video. You can continue making NCW videos and I would never get tired of them. 😊 Do you get a small commission from the links?
Rocker Chic thank you so much! I am using a Kingmax, it’s like a step below the juki 1541, just not the name brand, and works wonderfully! I love it so much!
I love this video. I'm learning about the different interfacings but can Decovil heavy be used instead of 2 decovil light? I'm wondering if Decovil heavy might be too much. I'm so excited about making this wallet... Thank you so much for this video. Love your channel.
Is there a place I could request a step by step for a pattern? I absolutely love the look of the Mynta wallet by Hansedelli and would love a video ❤️ all of your videos have been really helpful 😉
Which Peltex is your preference, Siah? I see 70 Peltex, 71F Peltex, and 72F Peltex II. Do they wrinkle? I used Thermolam for some small wallets and I couldn't iron the wrinkles out of the flap. I appreciate your advice and expertise! Everything you make is gorgeous. I can't wait to see what Barb has coming up with a new interfacing product!
Now that a year has past do you still like the interfacings that you use in this video and the way that you use them, or have you made changes that you consider better, please? Thank you Siah
To be honest I haven’t made this wallet in quite sometime. But I am pretty sure I would change up my interfacing with my experience now. I would most likely just use woven and decovil light and peltex.
great video I made my first ncw but when I finished I noticed a little part of the flap is coming undone from the main body is there anything i can do to fix it it is right at the corner where it turns thanks
Awesome tutorial. I learned so much. Does the tool you recommend from Amazon have everything a newbie would need to set the rivets as I am going to order it. Thanks and blessings to you and your family.
I am wondering if this can be sewn on a regular sewing machine I want to order the pattern but I am worried I won't be able to make it Your tutorial is great Thank you
I would love to know where you got your hole puncher , mine can't open as far as yours which makes it hard the punch really thick stuff. Love the video , now I might attempt to make a wallet, Thank you....
Love this! I'm going to attempt this wallet pattern soon! If you don't mind.... I'm thinking about getting an industrial machine... Which one do you have?
I like your way of stitching the wallet much better than the pattern method, but doesn’t starting the final topstitching on the zipper pocket partway down the side seam leave raw edges from there up to the zipper tab? It does on mine 🤷♀️ Or am I getting something wrong?
Great video! Would you please share your source for your zippers. I’m always on the hunt for different zippers and I really like the look of the zipper you used in this video.
The river press you use, uses inch measurement dyes. The rivets you purchased are in mm. How do you know which mm rivets will fit your inch dyes? Thanks! Kelley
Great vid! I'm making this wallet today and this really helped! I looked at your link for the 'Rivet' setter, but it's for grommets. Where did you get rivet dies for it? Look forward to watching more from you! K
