I do not think these changes they are talking about with new characters moving forward is necessarily a good thing. Kit based toons have always been better because they worked at lower star levels. Now toons will have to be higher stars to work better. And with diamonds now in game this is even worse. This is just a way for $copley to make more money and they are making it out to be a good thing for us players. Am I the only one who sees or thinks this?
Yes and no. If the trend of more complicated kits we would eventually get to the point where they would have to put an auto scroll function to read it all. So yes it will make more money for scopely but it is also healthier for the game
Odin and Ares are not part of the Annihilatiors team. Ares is a stand alone plug and play toon, hes basically this years QuickSilver and we do t know what team Odin will be apart of, maybe a mystic raid team? Maybe something else?
This is good how? Characters which rely on base stats fall out of the meta the fastest. Kit based characters are the ones that stay relevant for a long time despite being power crept.
I don’t see this change turning all characters into stat based characters or making all passives weak. A lot of text from passives is a boost of a character or teams stats like their health or armor. I see this change as something that eliminates the need for that, thus making it easier to understand new kits.

@@GladKing-pk9kw Every new batch of characters needs to be stronger than the last to keep the game profitable, so if they release characters next month with some crazy 10M health pool, the characters the following month will have 12M, resulting in huge power creep. The only way to keep power creep under control is by giving characters unique kits that remain useful despite the power creep. A good example is Emma Frost... she has been power crept into oblivion, but she's still used in War and Crucible at the highest level today, because she is 100% kit based. Her kit holds up despite the low stats.

Ultimus only needs two things to make him viable... all of his current base stats doubled, then his Ultimate changed so he flips positive effects to negative on the primary target THEN getting a bonus attack for every NEGATIVE Effect on the target
They should reopen the scourges for players who’ve completed it. Similar kind of fun as returning to old dark dimensions.Can just have a point leaderboard for bragging rights

Glad to see you more upbeat, sorry your tournement opponents didnt show, I think annihilators is going to be gorr, gladiator, silver surfer, ultimas, endgame thanos, i think ares and odin will be plug and play.
The Annihilators should be Gladiator, Silver Surver, Nova, Beta Ray Bill, Ronan The Accuser and maybe Adam Warlock...Add Quasar along with Gladiator so you can add 2 pay to play characters and then sell upgrade kits for nova, beta ray and silver surfer and make a GREAT Annihilators team.....Use this team as a gatekeeper for a galactus dark dimension and absolutely PRINTY money....but again the people who own this game dont actually like or know marvel lol
I think ares is going to be very strong in dark dimension, unless i misheard something. Even at 3 stars, his kit is still crazy and i think pairing him with vahl in cosmic nodes will be the move pre-dd7

Thats not something you can measure it by, all my teams are built and are where they need to be. I'm no whale or kraken. I just log in everyday and do my stuff
With this change, it makes the game a monthly subscription-based game. That’s fine but I wish they would just do that rather than pretend to be free to play.
Allow me to point out that this is Scopely’s version of the Annihilators. There were already 3 of the 5 members in the game already Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill and Ronan. Seems like a cash grab to me 🙄.
So there making new characters OP so they can create a bigger incentive to buy these characters and spend more money and they hide it around(Base stats) bullshit wake up
That's not even annihilators though. I'm more excited for gladiator. I hope they quit with teams n give some meta plug n plays. HYPERION, BLUE MARVEL, SENTRY, VULCAN, LEGION. I mean 300$ dollars I want one of those not the BS. Should have been Hercules not ares but scopely doesn't know continuity.
Let's see, still need to build Hivemind, Spider Society, PEGASUS, & A force, so I could care less about the new "greatness" they keep throwing at us. Their target is obviously the whales & krakens who have been complaining non stop about the State of the game they created.
My brother I mean no disrespect, but if you don't have hive kind and spider society atleast at a decent level for you, then your behind. I only got my spider society GT16 fully today. And why a force? My advice to you brother, drop Pegasus from your immediate priorities. Great team needed for raids, takes out most teams decently well in crucible and war, but cabal serves you better. Again, A force? My brother we have secret defenders, we don't need a force. The teams you need right now, excluding teams for odin are: Extreme x men Hive mind Spider society Cabal Sup 6 Pegasus And that's about it for necessities. I'm assuming your at a lower level so I'm not recommending bifrost, but I would recommend atleast getting Loki to lvl 75 and Vahl to lvl 80 when it comes time to unlock red hulk for apoc because at lvl 70, bifrost will do the job for the unlock, but I went in with hela Captain vahl loki and ebony maw and did just fine at lvl 70, and 75 for loki.
