Neuvilette could never have been the hydro archon- a lot of people forget that hoyo confirmed a long time ago that Venti and Zhongli are the only male archons. So it wasnt even an option...and i mean COME ON HE HAS GIANT BLUE ANTENAS the dragon thing was obvious as day.
They NEVER confirmed anything. Don't misinformation. Venti is genderless because it is quite literally a wind spirit. But they are the only original archons.

@@vorpalchoppersBarbatos is a now posing as the wandering bard, Venti. So for now, Barabatos is a male. Same with Morax who in the past used a female vessel but now is posing as a human male, Zhongli. Venti and uses the medium male model as well. So for now, Venti and Zhongli are Male.
even lore wise it wouldn’t make sense, why would celestia make one of their former enemies the sovereigns an archon? which in part would involve him getting his gnosis back
My theory for now is Furina has a part of herself in the oratrice somehow. The proccess might have made her forget how it works and locked her powers leaving her useless, which is why Arlecchino feels like Furina is cursed or non archon like.
i think furina wants to hide that she wants to lift fontaine with a lot of indempietunettuim(oratrice energy) just like the new area with the floating squares

I think you may be right that the Gnosis is inside the Oratrice, and this made me think of two possibilities: 1) Furina is a clone (or just a shell) and the real archon (or just the gnosis) needs to be kept in the Oratrice until she can return to full power (if we take the Knave's comment about a curse literally) or 2) Furina is the real archon, but the gnosis is being kept in the the Oratrice and the whole court room dramatization going on in Fontaine is a key part of the process to return the power of the archon to the dragon sovereign. Not only are they hiding it from the people, but also from Celestia.
My theory is that Furina is an oceanid. I mean, come on, there's a reason why Hoyoverse has been reminding us every ten seconds that oceanids can take on human form, right?
@@RetroApo It could be because she uses the playable character model rather than the NPC oceanid model... or I could be wrong. I kinda really want there to be a playable oceanid character, though. We're at least getting a playable melusine, at some point.
My theory is about the split personality thing she had. The one who's collecting information and pulling "all nighters" (mentioned in act 1) is the one actually doing the work, the legit archon. But for some reason they can't show themselves for the people. Maybe they're just so busy working. Instead, the other one (dramatic) come to act as an archon (kind of like the ei exchanging with the puppet thing). But the problem would be that the Furina we see doesn't actually know what the other one is planning on doing, but she has to act like she does. Makes sense? Maybe the curse is the fact that she kinda split in half
I assume she's under some curse from Celestia because she didn't properly partake in the war from 500 years ago and as a advent of justice was trying to make a case for the Kanrians to survive. But that was seen as treason so her and fontaine was cursed. Edit: and all she could leave herself for the future is a prediction of what that curse might entail and the aim for celestia's punishment for her
Instead of Neuvillette becoming an Archon, if that final ascension line is anything to go by, he might actually be taking Focalors' power and becoming full Dragon.
Ive only seen ascension as nothing but flavor text. Like not really canon but something he would say if he reached full power like getting to lv90 would depict.

The title "Archon", while sounds great and powerful, this title is bestowed by Celestia. Being a dragon sovereign, the true inhabitants of Teyvat, they wouldn't like that. The dragons hate Celestia and the first Usurper for taking over their home and driving them away.

We 100% know that childe is still alive because we have his vision, if he is dead the vision would burn and would lose it's power, I don't understand why we didn't tell the knave that :/
I don't think its right to be trusting the Knave when Childe doesn't trust her. And she did say she doesn't particularly care about Childe anyway. And if the Traveler was asked to hive the Vision to her due to it belonging to a Harbinger, i don't think its a good idea.

Necrit becoming a true genshin fan - every time someone is obviously the archon, has to argue its someone else. There were people who did that to Raiden and there were absolutely people who though Baizhu was dendro archon
how come some people (not just Necrit, Im not just going after necrit here) dont get that calling Neuvillette the archon is literally a disservice to him, he is a dragon, literally something far stronger than an archon. Its so weird to me how some people try to push him into the archon role because "he is strong". yeah he is strong because he is literally a dragon, a being that is far above the archons, and only a handful of entities are as strong or stronger then him. He would laugh if an archon tried to fight him. Its a different magnitude of power. so him just being strong, doesn't mean he is an archon suddenly. Its just such a weird logic jump, that seems to stem from the idea that archons are the be-all and end-all of power in genshin, and nothing else matters. And SO many people seem to think like that, Its not just Necrit, its like a 1/4 of streamers keep saying this.
Are the dragons really that strong though? At least at their current state I don’t think they are. If they were, apep would have already went ape shit on Sumerian seeing as how there was barely an archon protecting them for the longest time. The dragons may be way stronger in the past before losing their power but not now
@@teinfoongwong2248 We don't really know but they're probably stronger than any god in Teyvat but not stronger than an archon wielding a gnosis. Without it, then maybe they are indeed stronger than them.
@@teinfoongwong2248 apep specifically says in the quest that the archons are "leaning on the heavens glow". Apep basically implies that the archons are using the threat of celestia to protect themselves from the dragons. Without celestia, the dragons would have long ago taken over again from the archons even in their current state, at least that's what Apep implies. It is a bit blurry as we don't know the exact details of the dragons power, how much they were weakened, and how much power of theirs the gnosis hold and therefore transfer over to the archons, but as far as we can tell, even weakened dragons like apep, are still far far stronger than archons, I mean in nahidas quest, we had a weekly boss fight with a being inside apep, far smaller then Apep, and it was a weekly boss on the same level as other god/ god like beings, such as Ei's fight or Scara's fight. If thats how strong something living inside Apep is, then Apep is gonna be a whole lot stronger. I think its basically summed up as: Celestia >>> Dragons >>> Archons. With basically magnitudes of power difference between each category. But we are working with limited information and I'm not a full on lore expert either so I might not know everything that is important to this comparison.

My standing hypothesis is like oceanids, Focalors can divide herself into multiple kage/mizu bunshin; the one left behind in Court of Fontaine is a weak copy while the main body is away on mission concerning the prophecy.
this makes me think that furina gnosis is inside the machine and the indemnitium is actually the key to her plan, maybe she plans on using gravity science to lift fontaine above water level at all times, not in the air, just above water level
My current standing theory is; the hydro gnosis is broken in some way and is the cause of (if not a major part of) the increasing flood of primordial water, fitting with the previous archon getting a group of people to build the fortress of meropide along with the containment room below the fortress. This could also work to explain why Furina looks so weak so far as she wouldnt have been able to connect with the gnosis yet due to the above.
Necrit need to remember he is playing Genshin here and the most we got is one big plot point that we did not expect not every cake is a plot to overthrow the government KEKW and yes Furina is the archon she is useless but still the archon
Hm, interesting, this seems to be the end of yet another Story, but i guess the Fontaine Saga continues still, i wonder what will happen next? What would you like to see happen next? Also, yeah, that little conversation between the Traveler and Paimon at the end there really makes you think, i wonder if something will happen that will directly involve or rather effect those two in some way, actually maybe it could be foreshadowing towards the Fontaine Finale?
tbf, Genshin/teyvat lore is literally mostly based off gnosticism and greek mythologies. Seelie, celestia, the 3 moon sisters (now just 1 in the game, or dead in the sky), enkanomiya, etc, it actually makes sense that most archons are kinda like greek gods.
then you realise that each region will have a harbinger weekly boss... and the only harbinger in fontaine is arlecchino (excluding childe since he already a boss in liyue).
I was really hoping for some Sandrone action with her specializing in Automotons/Living Machinery, she would've fit well in a place like Fontaine with all the clockwork mecha. Heck they could've have made her the main source for all the rouge Mecha that the antagonists used in the 1st and 2nd action of this Chapter.
the reasons why not a single nation has a capable archon; 1) despite how we perceive them as "omnipotent" gods, in truth most of them are simply heirs to predecessors who won a battle royal among powerful beings 2) the gods embody personal ideals for humanity, and with it they carry the flaws that come with those ideals 3) the Fatui have spared no efforts in destabilising nations so they can cause problems and then sell the solutions... at the price of money and a Gnosis 4) Furina is both capable and worthy of being an archon, but the radicalised few in charge did all they could to stay in power
The Primordial One was pissed off at the creation of the Fontainians by Egeria, Hydro Eidolon's born from her grief to imitate all the people who died in a natural catastrophe. Otherwise Human Beings who experience the same thoughts and emotions as everyone else, but who's spirits are doomed to dissolve into Hydro Element upon death rather than moving on towards an afterlife. So he sent a flood of Primordial Water as an act of mercy, and a Celestial Leviathan to consume the then memory laden Water and convert them into true souls within it's stomach. Egeria freaked out, interpreting it as an assault on the people she had lost and "brought back", and basically killed herself to stop it and tying up the Gnosis in the process.
Necrit has got to be the genshin streamer I am annoyed w the most. Dont get it wrong, I do not hate him. He seems like a pretty cool dude... outside of playing genshin. Its just that he always says he into lore but it doesnt feel like it. He keeps forgetting detail and he doesnt research enough and only rely on the main quests... which is fine but he claims to know lore and like learning about it but you cant see it. There are also ways to watch the old quests if he really wants to. Not the same as playing the game yourself but def better than reading hundred of wiki pages to understand league lore. I dont really watch his twitch doe so im sorry if he already done that or he feels diff when watching his whole stream rather than just editted versions on youtube Edit: i also wanna say i dont expect him to know everything.. I BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME FOR MORE THAN TWO YRS AND DONT KNOW EVERYTHING but idk i guess as he always proclaim himself as a lore nerd I expected more?? i mean, this is a vod of him going through the quest for the first time live on stream, I don't think it would be entertaining to stop, and watch some lore video or previous quests just to clarify certain points. This is him playing through the quest for the first time, not a lore video His main channel, where he makes videos that includes scripts, research and revisions are the ones where he is more consistent with the material and less errors
I feel the same. Fell for his false advertisement as "lore guy" he barely understands anything even the most mainline plot, consistently forgetting things, more focused on throwing witty comments (also failed), etc. It's really hard to see how he is enjoying the game as he claim cs the way he comment most of the time sounds like he see the game as beneath him and waited for the game to prove him wrong

Although I am just super casual w those games like league so I cant really judge completely. I just wish he would dig deeper than what he is doing now.

He literally said "I have 2 viewers, genshin on my twitch and league on RU-vid" if you notice he's genshin/hsr video poorly than the usual league videos on youtube. he could literally just read the whole books in the game and make a video about it or how the interaction between characters, but I guess that's not what he wanted to imo
Furina is just all barks no bite, she's using a tactic of 'scaring' others using her hydro archon title so they back off, but she crumbles instantly when that doesn't work on some people cause she knows she's powerless.
As much as i love Neuvillete but i don't want him as an Archon that's like degrading his identity 😅 Being the Dragon Sovereign is better and way cooler.
I think its Because not all ppl relize that dragon sovereign is actually older elements ruler before archon and how strong their power is, even they not relize that dragon sovereign size is as big as apep, its more legendary creature than the archon even neuvillet is just the succesor
