That Minotaur army looks great! A few mistakes here and there, like the Techmarine awaking the dread when it's not within 3 inches or trying to reroll 1s to wound on a character when wisdom only works on CORE. But after that brutal shooting I don't think it would have made a difference!
Glad to see the minotaurs get some love. Was hoping to see Moloc get into the fray. Instead I imagined him just commanding troops to create a scrapyard of necrodermis
Matt said “hey guys we are really short staffed tonight i really need you reanimate” and the lich guard said “shesh that sounds tough, we already book our plane tickets sorry big dog good luck out there though”
I definitely agree that the damage is overall way too high across the game. It needs to be toned down. But it's kinda odd bringing it up against a Marine army, arguably one of the armies with the least amount of damage output in the entire game.
Anyone got ideas for ready made miniature storage? I'm not interested in all those methods you see online that you have to put together yourself. If anyone has any suggestions other than expensive carrying cases I would love to hear it
Im so new to warhammer and my first chapter purchase was the black templars but then months later this week to be precise i now found out about the minotaurs and im torn that they dont make any more setz for them but i so so sooo wanna make the chapter bcs i instantly freaked when i saw futuristic Spartan looking space marines and as i learned lore of Asterion i was sold i love this chapter
Nube tactics are to hold back and not shoot everything. Rarely does that work with Necron. At least it never worked for me. The only times I did well was when I pushed with everything. Then again I never played lichguard lol
Dude Luka I super wish I could play my necrons against you. Maybe Necrons vs Necrons. I run a melee Novokh list that’s really oppressive is most games. Though I’ve never done the random secondaries. I live in MN, USA, but idk if my car can make it to your store. Lol. If you’re even in MN that’d be cool to play. Or if you wanna come to the Waaaghfest! Tournament we run every June. Would be awesome to see you and anyone else that would like to go.
Luka buddy you cant just run at space marines like that. Void dragon has to go in front of the charge to, not hide. Even if you passed every reanimation you cant run into gravs and plasma like that. Got to play slow man. You only have a few infantry,, got to save them for objectives And why charge your spiders straight into a gunline turn 1. Idk what you were doing this game man lol.
Lukaalmost never plays slow. He is more in line with playing Space Wolves or Chaos than Necrons. Crons require patience and Luka almost never brings that to a game, although when he does it's great.
Only The Minotaur's chapter knows what needs to be done to defeat the enemies of the Imperium in his holy name on Terra! ...and the high lords on Terra!
@@aprilecotton2060 Declaring to hold steady to over watch on a 5+ is not the same as declaring in cover for +1 to hit the wording is very different and why people watching can get confused.
@@Got3wag he said plus 1 for overwatch from cover. Pretty easy to understand what he meant, tbf i didnt know that existed until a week ago. Ill be using it all the time with my marines. I wonder if i use the 3 unit overwatch strat if all my units can get the 5+
I really don't like when people use Minotaurs as Ultramarine successors considering they massacred an entire Ultramarine Successor Chapter. Still, the was fun. I would come out and play at MWG but it'd have to be a whole thing and I couldn't allow myself to go without a mask ever and I recall that not wearing a mask was a caveat of filming, also social anxiety and other various problems. Have been trying to get my buddy to go in though.
@@harolddix1336 Oh they totally aren’t, I believe someone that helped write them imagined them as Loyalist Ironhands, or they are a chimeric gene-seed, technically we’ll never know for sure
@Luka I think conceding after turn two was disappointing and disrespectful to your opponent. You still could play and score some points. It looked as you just weren't in the mood. People are traveling so far to play with you and you can't put an effort to give them what they really deserve? I really like you Luka, as I like the whole MWG team and I'm sorry I've seen this battle report. I hope it won't happen again.
The opposite could be said as well. It can be disrespectful to continue a game that is very obvious who the winner is. After that brutal over watch, the game was decided. If he would have continued the game, it would only last maybe one extra turn. The Void Dragon would get pummeled and.....thats it. There's nothing else Luka could do.
I wasn’t offended by Luka conceding, I’ve been in his position before and it’s not fun. And I had a fun time seeing the studio and hanging out with the team while filming so I won’t complain. Hopefully if I get to try again the game is more back and forth, but I did enjoy my time filming.
@@brandonmartinez8858 don't they usually play 2 games? One on RU-vid and one in the vault. It's not like Luka lost then sent his guest packing. This way they had more time to play the next game
@@es83stevenson88 I stayed around for a bit but we didn’t record another game because of time constraints, and no clue if they always have two games with the same person or not, but we did not.
Nice armies and nice minotaurs as well, but one question though? How do you run minotaurs as "ultra marines", hell in fluff stance thats hard to do. People forget that they are a "chaos gene seed based or chimera based", or just loyalist iron warriors
@@Tiamatdlord what's the problem playing yellow blood angels? They are called lamenters) Why only marines must play chapter they are painted? If I paint my eldar in red no one will force me to play Saim Hann, for Necrons probably no one knows their painting schemes. Because everyone knows marines chapters, people thinks they can be jerks about their painting schemes and associated rules
@@claw_and_fang this is the problem and my thing was from a fluff argument, the guy got mad and touchy like you are(you sound like the guy that would be joy in store or community, it's a game of preferences and toy soldiers.) Don't be that guy that's "that guy" that's that's known for at their LGS. just a heads up and Info for your, I prefer matching themes with design person and even if it goes wrong it's for flavor/theme(it's about fun) I can make recommendation for you that would solve your issue? You can play armies and paint them neutral colors or an off pattern of certain design and then you can play them how you want to. If a color scheme is 95% let's say blood ravens and you bring a guilliman it looks odd on tourney or gp scene vs casual. Like let's say I were to play a generic marine force and I wanted to have option I would paint them in my own scheme(then most wouldn't care if I did what I wanted and and same goes for CSM warband). Think of it as small flavor fail for a narrative, you play a game and you know that faction isn't comp, no one cares and no need to defensive. You sound like you would get angry over that, chill and certain subchapters have fun rules but not always the best like minotaurs/blood ravens but people for fun armies. Most people don't know most rules/color scheme for 40k, if you have a LGS that's that toxic it's not for you. Honestly there shops for stuff that allow people to play how they want too. People have differences of opinion right and can disagree? Don't be "that guy" that can't take it and wants to settle it in eventual animosity or fisticuffs in parking lot.
