@@darkrozen4110 Not quite, more like Scots and English, which according to linguists are two separate languages. You could say the same for German and Dutch because they're very much alike and both stem from Germanic, but you know that's taking too much of a shortcut. Dutch was created from an amalgamation of Flemish, Brabantian and Hollandic dialects. Low Saxon is a descendant of Old Saxon. Yes, they both are West-Germanic, and yes they are similar, but separated enough to be called distinct languages.
