Don’t wait for the govt to do it . Let’s start writing books and start having online zoom classes across the country in all the languages. This is the only way we can spread the right history of Bharat
This will not help as by this process we can only reach only those who are already aware hindus .. this needs on ground unity to pressurise government s top down implementation.. otherwise we will never be able to take the whole hindu socity out of it !!!
Absolutely right, we have been discussing on this from so many years, atleast as per my knowledge from last 15-20 years and so many generations passed reading through the old history books....We should start teaching the history in all open forums so that every one is aware of it.

I remember reading in my Class V history textbook that Babur traded his life for Humayun’s in a prayer to Allah. It was presented as authentic history. This was in the late 1960s. History needs to be rewritten but it shouldn't be made child's play. History is not something which can be taught like a "subject" in school curriculum. It is complicated, difficult to teach meaningfully, and produces no net positive results.

Listening to Rinkoo ji, i couldn't agree more that our real itihaas needs to be told, particularly to all those children studying in the thousands of government schools across the country. And this means having to localise the content of the books in the different state languages that prevail. There is no point in rewriting them only for an English speaking audience. And to achieve this parity is going to be an uphill task to say the least! For one, the states are divided among themselves over the correct version of history to be taught to their children, particularly the states of Tamilnadu and West Bengal who have their own self serving anti- bharath political agendas. I do not blame the BJP dispensation for not having been able to initiate this rewriting till now. 10 years is not enough time to undo the failings of 60 years of post independence governance that preferred to foster and maintain the alternative narratives of liberal - western - marxist leaning historians who got to write the first tellings of Indian history to our great detriment. The recent election results also seem to suggest that it is things like unemployment and other divisive social issues that took the majority away from the BJP. Obviously, history is not a priority for the common man as of now. And it will continue to be so unless the quality of his-her primary and secondary education is noticeably improved. What this new government can do is bring focus on upgrading the infrastructure and educational standards of government and public funded schools & institutions if such interventions (like truer versions of our itihaas) are to find favorable soil in our population at large. Only then can it lead to a general awakening and appreciation of what it means to be a Bhartiya ~
BJP won't do it, it was not in their agenda to begin with, they barely try so that they can say that,"oh look we tried! Nothing happened, sorry." Agreed that history books should be translated in local languages. Translation is an easy task because, fortunately we still have many linguistic scholars in the states, I am afraid it won't happen because the people who are writing these books have accepted that anything that is or will be taught from now will be in English. Majority of the speakers giving talks on this channel have done their work or written their books in English, their own mindset is like this. Sad thing is the same people saying, "no, education is suppose to be for all, just like in vaidik and colonial times", are creating a system that IS only for elites(English educated people), ironic!. All the new terminologies that we come-up with are all in English and later we may or may not be able to translate them into the local languages, for example IKS(Indian knowledge system, why not some term in our language?), as mentioned in the video she has published few books on history which are incorporated in a school in America, so I think the books are prepared in English. Another example in the video, prof. Kapil Kapoor and his team prepared books for 12th grade, the name is "Knowledge of traditional practices of India". You see a pattern here? The thing is that, we are teaching our own knowledge and history as if we are outsiders, in the colonial language, kids will never be able to connect with this. To spread this, they have to translate the books in the regional languages. Which they are not doing.
It would be a great addition to this talk if screens of old textbooks were shown on a screen. The talk format without citations and references undermines the credibility of this lecture

Rewriting History we are hearing from last 10 years in Social media. But nothing in reflecting in School books.. looks like we old age people learn the real history from social media and kids keep studying the same old stuff. Only discussions....... NO willingness to implement this.

Sanskrit language gets introduce in 6th Standard but English from Play school. Foreigners know better Sanskrit than people of Bharat. Keep reading the translated books of our Vedas and main scriptures from the author point f view.
