All 4 games you mentioned are the only 4 nfs games I have right now. After trying the most wanted 2012 since that was the copy GameStop gave me which was a mistake. I was done with all the other nfs titles.
I don’t blame ya it took me some time to beat Darius I struggled as well but when I beat him that when I realize crap I could have bought another car lol
@@denziiey viper and corvette for me. couldnt beat him with a tuner or exotic, they just didnt have the acceleration to compete. i got accustomed to putting muscle cars into drifts because of the "poor" handling.
For me, the canyon races in this game is the coolest and my favorite type of race in the series. Hell, even in any racing video games. It's just really cool and scary at the same time. I definitely would love to see it's comeback in the future NFS games
@@08makarov no no, I totally understand you. Back then this race was way too hard for me but even then I love how hard the races are and how scary the atmosphere is. There is nothing similar to the canyon race in terms of the atmosphere. But, I also love that they try to recreate this race, or the duel one, in Undercover with the highway battle. It's not exactly 1:1 but I love how challenging both races are to the point where they make your ass harder than concrete. I really want to see both in future NFS games
i liked it and hated at the same time because of how dark my game is i can't see shit in the canyon, such small lanes with alot of curves and the falling off lmao
It is in quick race mode, but the R8 cannot be had in the story mode...unless you do a bit of coding on the PC version. I did that and unlocked some cars like the R8, Camaro SS & even the AE86 to be used in story mode.
What do you mean a Memory Card? As far as I remember, you didn’t need a memory card for this generation of consoles (XBOX 360 and PS3) PS: Never mind I just saw that it came out for PS2 too
+FeArlessGamingStudios Still play Underground (Gamecube) all the time. Love the sense of speed in that game. and Most Wanted 05 (Gamecube again) is great for the cop chases. Never owned Carbon yet though, only played it.
Lest not forget that EA Black Box went out of business... I would NOT respect the remakes if they were made by Ghost... I would leave in the hands of Criterion! They made the EA Burnouts!
One of the best car racing game in 2006 very nice cinematic scenes, very very good graphic details of the cars and very nice engine sounds. This game it will be forever one of the best videogames in history of videogames, you can't disagree with that, anyone who say the opposite should not speak again for videogames.
You can't beat Most Wanted (2005) for its legendary plot and gameplay though. Pursuits, styling up cars, razor, the giant pursuit at the end, it's just a legend in the NFS community.
To me NFS Carbon had the perfect balance between car modification, police pursuit, overall street style with territories, and an excellent storyline of cutscenes... every NFS after that focused too much on one of the four aspects listed above, which resulted in many boring games and the end of an era. I loved this game... they should just make a Carbon 2 and build on it
I feel like the pursuit Mechanics from back then won't look quite good in today's games. It might look more unrealistic with today's graphics and details. But yes, you're absolutely right. Carbon had the perfect balance. It's the coolest Need for Speed Game for the modern era.
i do remember NFS carbon had these features, cuz when i tuned my mustang, i changed the tyre width as well as lowering the chassis to gain slightly better handling
One of the few NFS games to actually make me feel something, it instilled so many emotions that few others have and managed to be more than just another game where the developers just slapped some cars on a new map and called it a racing game. There is emotional attachment in this game rather than just being a racing game for the sake of being a racing game. It was conceptually unique and interesting and the environment and racing were so engaging and really pulled the player into it. There’s nothing quite like the fear and intensity of facing off against bosses cliff side, driving at high speeds as the tense music booms, running the risk at every turn of crashing through the barriers and falling into the dark void below. Miss this game so much. It was like Most Wanted 05’s other half. Climbing the ranks in the blacklist by day, seizing territories and racing in the canyons by night.
Just finished the career again last night since many years ago. As confident as i am with my supra, i still get chills when darius launches his car right after claiming no one can touch him at the canyons. The countdown made me nervous a little as well.
remember how i defeated him in the canyon, with the dodge viper you can overtake him before the very first corner and after that its pure trial and error to stay in front of him :3
I remember i said to darius before canyon duel "you look afraid dario, any last words?", then suprisingly he said "no one can touch me." ah good memories when i beat him😀😀
I always was highly concetrated when playing this game as a 6 year old, everytime when i was doing boss races my heart beated insanely fast, but mostly i just drove around and pimped a lot of cars becuse my older brother beated the game for me.I always liked to turn on music rly high and drive around, compete in races, was a good feeling back then, fun times. Was my favourite game for a long long time.
it's the fastest exotic but its handling kind of sucks. Imo the Porsche Carrera GT is better cause of its better handling. but even better is the corvette which is absolutely OP in this game
This popped up in my recommended. Damn, these canyon races were such an amazing concept and got your blood pumping of excitement. Especially when you nailed them. God I miss race games like these
EA should make game which is story driven like most wanted 2005 and carbon 2006. My expectations with The Run 2011 was more and thought that 2nd part will.be come but it couldn't come. EA now is making money just remoulding graphics and fancy trailers. They lost their touch
8:23 holy, what a amazing overtake It is worth paying tribute to Darius. He is the most worthy opponent from the NFS series, from Underground to Undercover. He is quite fast, hard and, most importantly, he took his defeat with dignity. He wasn't sarcastic, wasn't rude, didn't insult, just left the keys in the car (!) and calmly left, saying a phrase worth thinking about - "There will always be someone who is faster than you" PS good Evo and great driving skills btw PSS without NOS? Wow, impressive
I beat Darius with a Challenger Concept. Lol. This was the last great NFS. Pro Street was't bad but it too drastic of a change. After that, the only game worth a damn was 2010 Hot Pursuit.
Ah yes, the Lancer Evo 9. I've done multiple playthroughs of this game, and I always use the Evo 9 as the car for the last race. The handling is just so good and just so addicting. And on canyons it's a real monster. Best car in NFS:Carbon IMO
+Nicolas Stojic In Carbon Evo 9 was also my favourite with its riddicolous handling and if it was fully performance tuned aswell the acceleration and top speed were also so good if i remember right i got 250Mp/h out for top speed with Evo 9
Nicolas Stojic I never said the Evo 9 was the best car in the game period. I said it was the best car IMO. IMO = In My Opinion. I say that because it suits my driving style. Faster obviously doesn't always mean better, it's all about picking the right car for you driving style and getting used to it. I could use a Corvette or an SLR in the final race and I would still win. It's just that I pick the Evo 9 every time because I prefer cars that have amazing handling.
how did you do that? i have searched everywhere on youtube just to find that glitch cuz i still have ma beautifull ps1 and ps2 i also have a ps4 no braggin just sayin
I can still remember sneaking into my cousins room every night, for almost every 9 hours sitting and playing this game all out while he's out for work. After almost a year of sneaking, i finally did beat the game. Great times, really great times.
Dude.. did u play like 1 race per week? Cause u can finish this game in like 2 days if u dont tryhard and in a few hours if u go full on tryhard mode xD
I still remember how I struggled to get this game.. But I will tell you this is one of the most awesome games I ever played in my life... I was just 6 years old when I completed it but my friends don't believe it.. I remember I tried for one week to defeat Darius and I had a Lambo in the race.. good old memories though I am still 15 lol....
No. The servers are down permanently because the game's life span is pretty much over, and EA doesn't want to pay an upkeep for a game that's 9 years old.
I played this game when it was 2012, but now I'm playing it again with emulator and it's so freakin good as always. Damn I love all of NFS version in PlayStation 2
Wanna Know the secret to defeat Darius? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Crash him to the barrier... It could be one of the most dirtiest move, but I think it's useful... . . If you are using any car that could take the Audi (I recommend to use a Dodge Viper or any supercar), on the 6th hairpin (12:28), if he makes a brake, turn on your nitrous, and quickly attack his rear bumper before he took the turn perfectly. Or if he take a turn, use nitrous and head to his tail of his car or sideswipe him and push him with all your might... You have 29% chance that you could take him down because on the 6th hairpin...
This dude's driving skills are so good I cried a little, also having so many flashbacks to my childhood, grew up on this, always the best racing game in my heart
I can remember the struggle with the Darius. These curves in the canyon, I always crashed into them, and even if I managed to get over these roads, I got an F-Bomb from the time limit. RIGHT BEFORE THE FINISH LINE! And when I managed to beat him, I was kind of surprised when I saw his stats in the bonus cars at the Quick Race garage. You know, his Audi. What an asshole. But awesome memories, you got to say! ;3
Bryant Ariola Well, I was just like 7-6 years old back then. And overtaking was literally impossible for me. But I remember one coincidence, when I actually managed to overtake Darius. Overall, I liked this game. Even now, heck, I've beaten Darius without trouble, but this guy is without NOS. Whoa.
I think it would be cool if there's a remake version of NFS carbon with this type of changes for the most part, this is gonna be long so if you guys manage to read it till the end then I'm fine but if you don't wanna read, then I don't mind, but either way, here it is: - The canyons and San Juan (That city you race in during the beginning of the career) are accessible on free roam mode without the need of glitching outside the map. - The player talks at least once or so (It's just weird how whenever the crew bosses are taunting the player but he doesn't respond with anything except staying silent, but it doesn't matter to me that much though for this one) - Better graphics, textures, etc. (Obviously, but I still wanna mention it because video games these days are definitely better in terms of those things than Carbon, because Carbon was made back in 2006) - Much more available cars (I'd love it if there's like a Lamborghini Veneno or something in the game, but they make it hard for the player to get it) - Make police helicopters a vehicle involved during a police chase - Make it so that there are more challenges to face still even after finishing the career aka beating all the boss and becoming the king of every territories in Palmont (I know there are challenge series but I still find it boring after finishing every challenge) - More available vinyls (For example: Make the Japanese words on Kenji's Mitsubishi available for the player, or maybe some other Japanese words as part of the vinyls too!) - More challenges in the challenge series - There's daytime and nighttime - More intelligent AI - The heat level can reach from 1 - 8 even in free roam
Best driving ever... zero NOS, without mention no crashes or breaking everything along the way... I remember finishing all these games but at the end my car looked like crap at least on the paint. #RESPECT
Ah... great times when NFS was my favourite racing game! Such a nostalgia to remind myself playing this race... I used a Skyline and suffered to beat the final boss. It took me at least 15 attempts.
The soundtrack gives my brain an unusual feeling, its like a smell in the air and my atmosphere changes to 10+ years ago, brings a smile on my face but tears to my eyes, everything was so chill back then, remember my orange metallic ford mustang
I love most wanted but this game is a masterpiece, nothing can beat the intensity of the canyon duels. So much room for skill expression in these old NFS games too. Proper steering instead of just drifting around every corner.
