This is exactly the kind of racing game i've been waiting for!

This game is using the FROSTBITE 2.0 engine, which was used also in Battlefield 3.

@bubu2007P i think that they should mix realistic driving from Shift and car customisation from Underground 2, that could be called NFS underground 3.

am i the only one who has clocked that this game is practically hot pursuit with better graphics in most parts? apart from a few cinematic hp doesnt have..

people need to realize that just because it says gameplay, that doesn't mean its the complete game! theirs still graphic editing etc to be finished before release. Carm down man

Biggest let down of hot pursuit was not being able to customize cars... so they bring it back!? I think EA is trying to get all the positive stuff out of need for speed and just put negative things in . WTF

Umm This game does have cops ya know. Face it, The Classic Need for speeds weren't Undergrounds....The Underground Series was more like a spin off (one hell of a spin off) ... Nothing insanely bad happened to need for speed like you all say....These games are still pretty damn sweet....It's all in your head...don't follow what everyone else has to say, Play the game and make your own opinion... It will most likely be positive.

What a jump that was towards the end! Nothin like a stretch of road to make you try to touch the road with the gas pedal. I expect big things for this game. Coming from Blackbox... I'm sure they can deliver. They afterall did delver the two best NFS games. Underground 2 and Most Wanted.

I stop playing these games after Carbon, the producers just got lazy, not having free mode was one of the reasons why I stopped.

@Acemadura08 Underground still is Legendary =) EA needs to learn to listen to their fans, I liked the latest Hot Pursuit it was fun and cool but enough is enough, give us a new Underground, it's long 'overdue' now. EA's doing great things with their new graphics and physics with their Frostbyte 2 engine so use it, in a new Underground game, and seriously leave out those on foot parts they looked so linear and rubbish =/

Am I the only one who noticed that the graphical resolution and level of anti aliasing on this is insanely low? You can see the choppy edges even at youtube's 360p resolution, without stretching it. I'm guessing the Frostbite 2.0 in combination with a racing game, on consoles, it's just too much, they had to lower the specs :/

@Jsmooth264 I'm totally agree with you! Even because every new NFS has (maybe) better computer graphic but worse gameplay than the previous NFS games ... If you try GranTurismo or ForzaMotorsport, you'll never come back to NFS. And forgive me about my shitty english

Dude, what the fuck? It looks like a somewhat more fun version of Hot Pursuit. I mean, I'm all for that, but I was expecting this to be a little more different then the usual NFS.

@icey1921 Not every racing game has to be a simulation or realistic. Sometimes it's just about the sense of speed and the fun of unrealistic power sliding around corners.

Guys, ever heard of something called 'benefit of the doubt'? Just because it doesn't pander directly to you by being set at night-time, with full customisation, lots of race types and no police to break the 'flow' of the racing, which is all done in a single city without many really scenic views, it won't necessarily be a bad game. Unless the PC version requires Origin, I'll probably get this.

@bubu2007P For EA to listen to that demand, there's have to be enough of you that will catch the attention of their entire NFS fanbase. NFS Hot Pursuit was a huge hit and despite the fraction of that hates that game, it did EA really well and got lots of rewards and lots of praise, good review scores and such. It's not really always about pleasing those who wants underground games, situations are much more complicated than that and could sometimes be a gamble.

@SirVladDracula I don't know (of course you can have your opinion I just don't share it). I like the Shift series more than any of the Underground series (Underground to NFS Carbon), and that's mainly because I prefer pushing a racing car (say a LM-GTe Corvette C.6R) to the limit on a track than driving around in a FWD Lancer with speakers and plastic. I would also generally prefer owning a Radical SR3 to owning a Toyota Supra because I'd like to brake some lap-records on a trackday.

@SirVladDracula i know u make a good point but for a person like me alienweres fine it gets the job done right btw Dx11 is just incredible i am mad consoles dont have Dx11 :( just that is worth all the spending because even thow you dont upgrade every year graphics cards are getting more expencive but if i get i good paying job ill try 2 get a good pc set up.good so i dont have 2 upgrade in like 4 yars kinda like alienwere.

@SirVladDracula well everybody cant afford a new graffics card for a pc its like modding a Honda civic with a better turbo each year sure with the right parts it could beat a Lamborghini but really u dont have 2. playing the same game 60 fps is not really a mind blower but somting really spending money on is an alienwere laptop because u dont have 2 upgrade it its old as well but it still can run most games out and it came out a fue years back+it looks cool

since this is the first NFS game ive looked at since finnishing Shift, i didnt think it was that bad, not as bad as these comments make it look anyway. It looks quite fun tbh, exiting. The idea of going across the landscape is interesting, something they could develope further maby. Maby its just me but i like the look of this game, if u dont like it dont buy it :P simple as.

@Covill90 Trust me bro I LOVE the underground seris and Most Wanted ( I still have them) but I highly doubt a sequel will come. Its almost been 10 years. The only thing we can hope for right now is a remake like what they did with Hot Pursuit or make a HD version for the PS3 and 360. But that won't happen until EA runs out of ideas.

The one thing I hate about racing games... They make me feel like a failure in life because I can't afford any of the cars... Especially in this!

@ShadowXHybrid You press one button and watch a video , press another and watch the video continue Go look at the e3 gameplay... while it does diverge from expected gameplay, it seems like an interesting idea, but executed more like a pitch from a marketing team.

i want EA to go back to the need for speed games i used to love. Like buying cars and kitting and personalising them your way. PIcking engines, tuning them some ya can have more power or torque. Picking body kits so you can autosculpt them to the way you want them to be

@bubu2007P There will NEVER be an underground 3. The tuner, street racing scene died out. Havent you noticed even the fast and furious movies doesnt focus on street racing anymore? Its all about supercars and exotics bro. If you want a game similar to underground then get Midnight club LA.

@Jsmooth264 true.. But this looks much better than NFS SHIFT and other crapy vers of NFS'.... In this one we have hills ,roads ,canyons,SHORTCUTS....this is the NFS that we want (almost) 1:28 the landing sound looks very familiary with NFS 1 ....

I dont buy this game when its releases because i had bought NFS Hot Pursuit when itss released but it wasnt so nice as i tough. I will wait when this releases and watch on RU-vid at Vids is it like street racing and customisation or like Hot Pursuit

@ImzVidsZ the remake of hot pusuit is shit :D the controls of the cars complety suck. Or didn't you ever started driving left/right/left/right/... The original HP was great but I think how you write you were a baby when HP was released :D

@BusterPaddyYT I was a true NFS Fan, Untill they came with Shift, Undercover & Hot Pursuit... NFS isnt what it used to be, It was the only reacing game I used to buy everytime, Now Im stuck with Midnightclub because NFS became shit :\

@CryoStatus hell yes someone who actually sees the potential in those games. if they used realistic racing phisics like dirt and added cop car chases and a strong storyline this game would be the best but theyll never do it :/

I don't get it the gameplay looks very similar to last years outing nfs hot pursuit. There are no longer cities and blocks just miles and miles of straight road. I miss most wanted style gameplay =(

@angelfear2tread the driving of hot pursuit its = to a game for kids. you hit the buttom space, and it turns 180 degrees, hit again, and it turns 360... bullshit... i regretted having bought it.

This is just hot pursuit with a story line... I did however, correct me if i'm wrong see a skyline at 0:42 and a muscle car just after that. Let's just hope there is customization in this game.

i prefer the need for speed underground games and i hope they make an other one of them. cuz i enjoyed doing up cars in it. it was a great pass time. i was doing up more cars then racing lol.

this game looks absoloutly horrible, ea! scrap all your new games, go back to pro carbon/pro street.. and work from there!

the game controling of criterion's hot pursuit was shit. i want underground, most wanted, carbon and undercover gameplay again. nothing like that piece of shit that was ridiculous.

@SSCrow No. The hot pusuit engine was Chameleon. The Run is Frostbite 2.0. And THIS IS JUST A GAMEPLAY TRAILER! LOL The game doesn't come out until 11.15.11.

Good to see the AI are as fast as ever, lol :D The graphics are not what they should be because this is still Alpha/Beta footage, and will be better upon release.

the earlier nfs on the ps2's were so much better, with the customization and free roam. i miss the old nfs. :(
