Rydell is the only character I genuinely liked, a little bit of Yaz. I despise Tess with a passion, and the main character’s development is as flat as a piece of cheese.

Damn, this story had potential. When Jasmine "betrayed" Rydell I swore it was going to be about uncovering a crazy conspiracy where politicians were stealing cars from garages in order to end street racing (based on how much we get to hear about the mayor in the radio and how she got rid of illegal street racing). But nah. We don't even see this Alec guy. Rydell gets none of his stuff back.

The story in need for speed games is kinda sad, we either get those chilldish and plain dialogues from underground/most wanted or this cringy over the top bullcrap in heat/unbound. These guys need to up the writer team ASAP

There is a difference reaction between Rydell when you choose a Female or Male character when M.C says “You gotta chill” He’s more gentle and calmer when it’s a female character selected

Bugs i found in NFS Unbound -floating vehicles in a loading race screen - The front of the car wasn't moving (Im not good at timestamps so you can this kinad of cutscenes here)

I wonder how far off the story of NFS Most wanted 2005 and NFS Carbon is from these newer titles. Darius is never seen again and we never find out what happens to the main protagonist even after pro Street. Everything just kinda changes. It would've been cool if they kept the world building of carbon onwards in future games, or at least subtly referenced it.

After seeing like 8-10 gameplays and what characters people created, I can safely assume and say that I have the best looking character that visually matches the voice. The voice itself it sounds from Chicago. It smells Chicago. But that's just me.

Love the artstyle. The contrast between the realistic enviroment and cartoonish characters is rather unique, especially for a AAA title

I think they tried to go for the Need For Speed: Most Wanted vibe where you have to earn back the car you lost in the beginning of the game.

The story is a 8.5/10 in my opinion could’ve been longer but it’s a still a good one

i think heats cutscenes flushed out the world more, and made the cops feel like real villains. in unbound i expected it to be about a new crew taking over, and more on police stuff

Okay so the plot is not bad as far as nfs story goes, just need better dialogue, and a little extra development.

The acting was mediocre. the only two characters that seemed alright were Rydell and the player. Rydell was well written; he felt like that old dad type character that really cares for us and wants to keep us safe while also trying to relate to us through social media/modern trends. The main character/player (our character) felt like a quieter person who’s trying to make a living by racing and working with Rydell. He doesn’t question anything much at the beginning, as if he was some sort of quiet pushover kid who kept to himself. Then when Tess starts putting him in way more danger than he ever could he gets progressively more demanding and pissed as he gets more stressed about fighting yaz and the cops and Tess overworking him. Like, the players goes from “Idk, this seems risky but I’ll do whatever you want anyways because I want money” to “Okay that’s enough. You’re obviously setting me up for failure by giving me these risky jobs you piece of shit, leave me alone” although at some points it felt like his character development was going back and forth in time. The characters in this game were overall okay. The acting felt way too casual and calm, and the storyline was just flat out this: “Let’s race” “Okay” *one race later* “I win haha” “I hate you for winning.” “Let’s race” “Okay” Maybe with some better acting and writing, the storyline could’ve been better. I rate the story a 7/10. -1 for acting, -1 for character writing, -1 for story writing.
