To be fair, the game isn't that good The bar was just too low this looks good on comparison (same with heat, but handling is somewhat better there unbound's handling is just atrocious)
@@highoctanesynx7950 nah I feel u bro especially drifting sometimes it feels like any car can drift but not at the same time it's kinda weird and it's hard to make money
Love unbound, people hate it to hate it. Turning is awesome too, can make any car grippy, drifty, or in the middle. Graphics are amazing, the game was worth the 70 to 80 dollars to me.
the drifts are more like powersliding at high speed meaning u lose speed constantly drift cars are suppose to maintain speed and even gain it if needed, this game once u slide ur just dooming yourself because then if u got no nos or boost the AI rubber band/slingshot feature forces even the slowest car class to pass you for no reason games dumb af lol
Yeah, I tried tuning the handling several times but it still never sat quite right with me @jhonsok I'm normally pretty good at turning in these more arcade-like racers, but it just didn't never felt as intuitive as other similar games on the market. How are you finding it so far? - Anthony
This game has a ton of potential for great future updates. Just needs the support from the players so it doesn’t get abandoned like the last game. I find it really fun and it definitely could use better handling but nothing a future patch can’t fix!
You don’t like racing games do you? Lol. It also sounds like you just played for an hour; cops can be quite hard on higher levels of heat. Also what difficulty are you playing, easy? No talk about customization, side missions, deliveries.
I agree with you. It's a racing game, people who don't actually enjoy them can't comprehend that it's driving your car mostly. It's not 3rd person open world game
There's only so much I can fit into one minute 😅 So I only talk about the most important elements, in my opinion @pyrofangdragon9132 And nah, I love this style of game! Why do you say that? The last two racing titles I reviewed (Forza Horizon 5 and GRID Legends) I gave them both a 9.
Tbh, there’s nothing wrong with his 60 sec review, the game is clearly not perfect in many areas, I’m not saying it’s a bad game. This has nothing to do with people that has their own taste with driving and racing games. But, you shouldn’t ignore something that has been broken even if they use the same assets and mechanics since 2015.
@RealDimeO Get good at spelling 😂 I am good don't change the fact the game boring and no police online. Have over 700k gamerscore so can't be bad 😂 The nfs games won't ever come close to the old school ones.
@crackyourpepper9116 Ah really? Don't see how having no police online and the story boring a skill issue lmao. And yeah payed £70 for a game and still don't have these cars. The game ain't good it ls worth £30 not £60 to £70. Ea just a cash grab. Yeah like I said 700k gamerscore I've completed alot of games that take way more skill then playing a racing game. That Requires no skill at all.
The cornering for me at times felt to slow and stiff in payback and rivals you could take corners with enough speed and it always felt good and satisfying
Yh but i agree i like the effects on the cars but not the characters the same way it was realistic cars and cartoon effects imagine realistic characters with the same cartoon effects
They should have single races for multi-player instead of the 3 race Playlists and the races should of been like heat where you can choose to invite the whole lobby and they should have more veriaty to races like have a drift race or a rally race.
NFS unbound looks great but I prefer the more realistic style (NFS payback, 2015 NFS and heat )over cartoon style. I get that they wanted to try a new design style but it doesn’t really sit well with me
I played this on pc for a bit, the reason most people hate it (imo) is because it's a NFS game that requires you to use the brake (and let off the gas) and not just focus on the vehicles raw power
Bro, unbound has so many drift settings and tunes just for the player. It is litterly made to fit the player. You can do typical drifts or more advanced drifts.
Yes, I 100% agree with you on all of those points 🔥 That being said, the character models just seemed a little off. I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but everything else looks really nice. I'm surprised how well it works with the realistic graphics.
This is a great game forsure. Nfs heat I had a lot of fun with but was lacking content, the single player and the online portion of unbound are awesome and the fact that u can easily make bets and the payouts are pretty nice is great. I love the art as well
The npc cars are rigged to be in your way just like GTA V I've noticed that ever since NFS 2015, every race I get obstructed by a perfectly timed npc passing trough the intersection Sometimes if you're coming up to an intersection and swerve to the other lane, the npc will ruberband to catch up to you just so it can be in your way...
I don’t see the focus on drifting…. Sure the tutorial had a section where it told you to drift, but it’s more to give you an idea how the car acts. I fill my boost bar way more from grip turns (fun fact, if you hit the corner at its best angle and right apex it’ll give you a full yellow boost bar) so please. Don’t just discredit the game for one thing you can disable
Tap and brake to drift on as default (AND NOT SAVING WHEN YOU CHANGE IT!) makes the driving feel weird. Turning it to what feels best to you makes such a difference.
I pull the capped 60 fps at 4k ultra on a tv, but I set it to high now. Even though I am not that old, I played need for speed since I was very small, the feel of steering is very different, but I played takeover practice until I got everything right, my car got faster and it feels a little too slidey, I might need to fix that
The traffic really aren’t bad in this game, usually pretty easy to avoid. Sounds like an excuse for the occasional bad driving and luck. The cops can be a pretty fun challenge on higher heat levels. I think this is the best NFS has been since Hot Pursuit in 2010.
Cheers, mate! Glad you enjoyed it 😊 @simonoregan4744 Just published my review of The Callisto Protocol, if you'd like to check that out? ru-vid.comYfuufND5mJY?feature=share
Cross traffic is a legit worry of you are illegally racing on streets. Tuning your car and learning how to drive your car and continually find tune out fixes the turning issue. This nfs game finally make me want to fully complete the game
maybe put your settings on grip..?! i had no problem with drifting cause i cant all my cars are set to grip..in high tier you’ll never win in multiplayer with drift..
The npc cars are on purpose to keep on your feet and if focus on tuning/customizing your car the turning will be easier to handle in my opinion NFS Heat is better but this game is still really well done and honestly a 8 or a 7/10
What people don’t understand is that this isn’t a 3rd person open world game, it’s about racing. If you want that play the crew 2. Learn and play with the settings and your car will be tuned to YOUR liking.
I played some of it through the EA Play trial because I have Game Pass Ultimate, and I like what I've played of it so far but I have not won a single race, lol. It's fun though. I'd probably get it when it goes on sale.
@@TheBetaNetwork Lol only against the AI. I don't know if it's me or if I picked the wrong car to start with but yeah. I also chose "Challenging" as the difficulty. I kept sliding off the road all the time.
Oh, I see! Yeah, the controls just don't feel right to me either. I was playing on Challenging difficulty as well, but I was able to win quite a lot. That being said, I feel like I would've done heaps better if the controls were more sharp.
Thanks so much! @axelherrera6559 Yeah, now that you say that, it really does look like Heat with a different graphical style. I'd honestly recommend sticking with Forza Horizon 5 or even GRID Legends if you're keen on more arcade style racing - Anthony
i agree, i have been a nfs fan for the last 20 years. i can keep up with alot of sweats in these games without spending the time they do. This guy is speaking from experience. from all the racing games out now. Nfs could have done better. They had 3 years to work and develop this game. and instead they built on heat and put in less effort with characters. the turning is a Fluke like he said. If you tune the vehicle it still messes up in the worst possible way in the worst possible time. if you tune it for grip you have no drift, if you tune for drift you have no grip and the drift is too wide. if you have it on balanced the vehicle becomes unstable no matter what. Forcing you to choose from grip or drift and making you sacrifice one for the other. I understand if kids and teenagers are into it. Due to the fact that they havent driven or raced in real life, So it gives them this illusion that they are street racers in this virtual world of nfs. Aswell as influencing their dream of racing in real life or Being into the tuning culture. Dont get it confused everyone. NFS could have done better and instead they are half assing these games and prioritizing other aspects. Lets not even talk bout how much money they had to spend to acquire asap on the game only so that it could help them with marketing. I purchased this game for myself and my son on pc. He loves it just like you kids on here. But he is also realistic and sees the flaws that have been made. Like i said they made this game for the kids that have no real experience in driving real life. None of the missions make up for the lack of creativity that should have been implemented in terms of racing.. Where is the drag races?? where is real car tuning on dyne like underground 2 ?? why did a ps2 game have more features then a game that is created now??
The game is an arcade raceing game. Ofc it's not gonna be realistic, and the development was 2 years not 3. Have *you* ever raced in real life? The handling is nice, and finally we have an actual grip cars, and not always drifting. And lastly, are you serious ofc that when your car is tuned for grip it won't drift, it's common sense...
I think you are missing op’s point. Many other arcade racers that do it better than this trash game. The tuning point between grip and drift is that you have to choose to make your car only good at one thing cause the balance option makes it mediocre at best for both. My biggest issue is that the art style is a clown show. Feels like a Nintendo ds game from 10 years ago with the animated people and smoke
I think i would give it 7 but i understand your 6 truly, because other than the art style and new city (which criterion nailed by the way) i didn't see anyhow too great improvement other than graphics. The cops are easy imo. Tho the story is much better here. Gives a reason to drive.
You gave Forza Horizon 5 a 9. Yet that game was really boring for me. Pre-ordered NFS Unbound and i loved the game, more than Heat. The most fun in a racing game imo. Only downside is the characters/voice lines.
Fair enough! It's good to have a different opinion, otherwise the review discussion would be quite dull @ProPainism Is this one of your favourite NFS games now? - Anthony
I’d have to respectfully disagree, although I respect and appreciate your opinion. ✊🏽 as far as handling and tuning goes, I just think there’s a lot of nuance that people haven’t quite grasped yet, which I mean the games been out for what? 1 day? I’d personally rate it 8.5/10.
