Cleaning your condenser periodically helps you to prevent the coils from deterioration caused by dirt. It is important to do this as part of Preventive maintenance Service (PMS). This will not only help your condenser to last longer, but for you to save money and time.

What I noticed is water isn't enough even high pressured you definitely need a foam that can break down the dirt and that gets stuck.
@BtappinHD
@BtappinHD Месяц назад
For majority of people, vacuum, soapy water and water hose will be enough to clean it. Even my outdoor A/C unit that was covered in dirt and fuzzies for years cleaned up easily with just water. If you have an extremely dirty condenser that has more than the typical, then you'll need the A/C foam cleaner. It's best for most people not to go out and buy a bottle without verifying it's needed first.

Do NOT use high pressure. Only LOW pressure water.

Hi there , this whole thing you're cleaning is the condenser or the radiator? I thought the condenser is a lot smaller than the radiator?

You probably should have blown air at it to dry it or used the wet/dry vac to clean out the water from the fins. In some places it looks like you just replaced the dirt with the cleaning solution as there was noticeable build up especially on the right side.
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 2 года назад
I agree with that and actually, I did blow the water with a compressed air but it wasn't shown in the video. Sorry for that. I should have said but I just decided not to since not everyone has an access to compressed air and wet/dry vacuum. It is a good suggestion though. Thank you very much for commenting that. There are some spot that has stains on it and cannot be removed by cleaning anymore. It's a bit long time ago since I've cleaned it.

Dear DP - I have enjoyed your videos... Thumbs up! Do you by any chance have a video that shows how to change the Automatic Transmission Fluid on this Silver Mazda 2 with automatic transmission? I have just bought a similar car and I would like to learn how to do it in this car ;-) - I would like to learn how I get acces to the gearbox underneath and also where the drain plug and inspection/fill hole are located. - Do you know if the engine should be idling or shut off when inspecting the fluid level in the gearbox? - Also, do you know which temperature the transmission should have on inspection? (20 degress celsius or 65 degrees celsius) Thanks for the videos on maintenance
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 2 года назад
Thank you very much for watching and giving feedbacks on my videos. Regarding the video about changing the Automatic Transmission fluid on Mazda 2 Skyactiv, Yes, I do already have a video for that which only needs to be edited in order for me to publish it on this channel. For now, I have some videos that are already lined up for publish, but don't worry, I will upload it soon once I'm done editing it. All of those concerns will be covered by the video. For now, I will answer those so that you will have an idea about it. - The gearbox can be accessed underneath by removing the engine bottom cover. The drain plug is an allen bolt while the dipstick of it is located and hidden at the bottom of the air intake assembly. The color of the dipstick is light gray and it is held down by a 10mm bolt. - The engine should be warmed up and it needs to be idling when checking the fluid level of the transmission fluid. - When checking the fluid level, the temperature of the transmission should be on 50 degrees celsius (122 Fahrenheit) as indicated on the dipstick. Once again, thank you very much!

@@DraftProject Thank you for your thorough answer, - l look forward to watching that video. I have a single follow-up question regarding the fluid-level-procedure.... When the engine is idling, should I slowly cycle the gearbox through PARK, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, DRIVE and back again, - right before checking the fluid level or just let the engine idle in PARK? Cycling the gearbox through the gears splashes the fluid everywhere inside the gearbox, and I presume that it will affect the fluid level to some extend and I am uncertain whether I should do so or not on the MAZDA 2 1,5 Skyactiv right before checjing the fluid level. Once again, _ thank you for your videos and your reply.
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 2 года назад
Yes, that's right. While the engine is idling, you need to cycle through the gears before checking the fluid level. That will determine whether you need to add more fluid or not. This way, you will be assured that each section of the gearbox has enough fluid and will have an accurate reading of the fluid level. You're welcome and thank you very much too!

Some soap ended up getting inside the condenser fins after a wash and it’s making a sulfur smell, tried washing it out with water but it didn’t do much, what do you recommend I should do to get it out?
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 2 года назад
Actually, I haven't encountered that problem. The soap is actually hard to remove so you have to rinse it many times. I guess one way is to try rinsing it with a bit more pressure and focused on the fins to flushed out some of the remaining soap. I hope this helps. Thank you very much.

Excellent video A question when I turn on the air takes time to cool, but eventually cooled, but it takes a while, do you think it is due to this dirty condenser (my car is ford fiesta).
@DraftProject
@DraftProject Год назад
Yes, it can also be considered. Other things to consider are dirty and clogged up evaporator and lack of freon in the aircon system.

Simple water spray is enough rather then long opening
@DraftProject
@DraftProject Год назад
Well, in some ways, yeah. If this job is not applicable for personal reasons, then a simple spray would somehow help and do the trick. But nothing can beat a super clean condenser in terms of performance.

Have bad odor coming ac vents will help remove it?
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 2 года назад
Unfortunately no. Cleaning the condenser will only help the performance of the cooling system. Perhaps the odor could be from the seat, carpet, blower, cabin filter or the evaporator itself. Try replacing the cabin filter, clean the blower motor and other part of the interior to see if that helps. Also, if you are always on non recirculation mode, that could be the cause of odor which is from the outside to inside of the A/C system.

So my car is blowing hot hair but the ac has no leanks we put dye an it was good they say its condinser do i jus need clean it or replace it?
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 2 года назад
I guess it's better to inspect more. Check if the ac compressor is working when you turn on the A/C system. If everything is good and working but has no cold air, then it could be the expansion valve or probably the condenser. It's not a bad idea to try cleaning it than spending new parts right away. Also, try to find other A/C specialist and let them check for you to have a second thought and make things more accurate. Hope this helps. Thanks!

If you refer to spraying on the other side of the condenser, yes you can. Just make sure to adjust it to moderate pressure so that the cooling fins won't bend.

@DraftProject

Sorry for the late response. After cleaning, it gives a bit more cooling to the aircon since the condenser can dissipate the heat better than before.

I appreciate that. I guess that would be harder without the use of a pressurize sprayer, but that would be definitely a satisfying thing to do. Thanks and take care man.
