I'm putting a second comment since we need more reactors reacting to this masterpiece of a series. I really PRAY on my knees that these reactions keep coming since I'm just going to say that the next upcoming episodes have some of my favorite moments between Holo and Lawrence in the entire series.
I PRAY this video does well. This is my favorite series of all time (if you can't tell from my profile already lol) and I NEED these reactions. Ok, I'm commenting because I love this show (both versions) and y'all are like the only reactors covering it, aside from a few smaller channels I've seen. It would suck for y'all to drop this from the channel, since I think it's such an amazing series, but I guess we'll see what happens.

Holo didn't have time to fight. She cared about L. so since the young wolf wanted only to show his superiority for his ego, she bowed in order to resolve the issue quickly and leave. If she was alone she would teared him in pieces. Also I am so glad you at least uploaded the s1 (by old standards) finale. I really do hope you continue this series. Maybe the views drop was bc the old episodes were a bit irrelevant

The dog doesn't like Holo, she just told Nora that because she couldn't tell her the truth, also it was an opportunity to tease Lawrence, and she always takes those. Lawrence having the contract signed to the trading company he belongs to is smart, if it was to him directly then they could just hire someone to kill him when they got back on their feet and wouldn't have to pay him off, but since it's through the other trading company they don't have any way to get out of it.

That fake out moment when Lawrence imagined the worst - Holo killing Nora and Enek was also the largest moment of growth to date for him. That is the moment when he called someone's name but also when he saw Holo spare Nora his deepest fear left him. He's no longer afraid of Holo at all in her true form. Also it must have taken a lot for Holo to bend the knee. The book this story is from is told from Lawrence's perspective that's why we didn't get to see the confrontation with the grey wolf. Also, the book implies she endured a bit more than embarrassment. In the book Lawrence noticed mud on her knees and scratches on her arms and body. And Holo tells him she was forced to kneel and was treated as 'a mere dog'. So whatever went down she didn't get a free pass in the book. But she never brings it up again. So she went through some stuff Hopefully Spice and Wolf views pick up for you guys in the second cour. I love the coverage you guys do for this show. You're gonna love next week. It's a stand alone slice of life episode from book 7 and Lawrence gets talking about some freaky foot stuff at one point. Plus that's just the tip of the weird ass iceberg that is next weeks episode. That title sounds like a new adaptation of the book 7 short story 'wolf and amber melancholy'. So they have animated it and that short is coming before cour 2 if the episode title is not totally misleading

Now that you msntion it, I remember the title not fitting the next scene for the start of the next arc. So honestly ya I really hope you're right. I REALLY want to see Holo and Lawrence bond even further after she gets ill. One of my personal favorite side colors events to this very day imo.
They have this relationship where they know both sides are interested but they're playing 4d chess with words because thats just how they flirt. In a weird way it reminds me of Kaguya-sama Love is War.

Hope you guys continue, you are the only reacters I've seen that are doing this show that I find worth watching. As for something to say about the episode. Well I'm with Lawrence at the ends it's not like I can't understand wanting revenge but you need to consider the long-term consequences over the quick gratification revenge will get you. Even in real life, modern-day society way too many people go for the quick gratification without considering the repercussions.

Plus if you listen to how they say "Holo' in the series, they say Holo in a very short and clipped accent. Whereas Nora would be said with a full No-ra. So phonetically, Holo can be said faster than Nora.
