What are some questions you have about needle felting?
@TheTopKnotchCrochet
@TheTopKnotchCrochet 6 месяцев назад
Have you ever tried to wash one of these with the felting? I wonder if/how it would hold up if you washed it on delicates like you can with a plushie with safety eyes

@@TheTopKnotchCrochet I wouldn't expect it would go very well honestly. I expect it would probably stay on but maybe warp? Definitely something that would be interesting to test.

Would putting a little dot of glue in the middle before needle felting be a good way to secure it more ?
@HappyLittleLoopCrochet

@@josiegarcia3424 I definitely think that wouldn't hurt! Especially if you think people might be actively trying to get the eyes off! I have checked in on one of my sons toys I made him back in March and the eyes are still going strong!

Thank you so much. It's a nice touch for some special pieces ❤️ There are a lot of videos out there for people who do this effect with roving wool. Those look a bit different but very cool.

This is a fantastic tutorial and it is not at scary as I thought! I didn't realize that you only need to stab the edges! Also - thank you so much for the little "pop" noise when you type on screen, it is so helpful when I am watching and working on a project as well :)

Aww I am glad that helped! I figured it might. I like to crochet and watch videos too! For roving wool you definitely need to stab all over but for the felt sheets it's just the edging 🩷

Just be patient with yourself! It really is a little weird in the beginning but it gets easier after a few tries ♥️

Great tutorial! I used to use rooting needles to attach hair, I wonder if it’s similar. I’m excited to try it. The eyes turned out so cute, I love the color combination you picked!

Oooh. I have never heard of that. Were you doing it for crochet or was it another form of crafting?

I am going to try needle felting. I bought a kit that had the loose wool, in a verity of colors, and a good selection of needles. I am actually working on making my test subject for these eyes right now.

Loose wool is a great option too! I have used it for some detailing on my dragon. The trick is to build up your base layer color by working over the same spot over and over before you start adding in other colors.
