Joann Gordon So glad I got to watch a live video. Not only cute, but there are always so many things to be learned. AND they also stimulate the brain as to how zippers can be used on other projects! Thank YOU!!!
I've never seen zippers used this way. So clever! Looking forward to giving this a try. As always, thank you for generously sharing your ideas and talents.
Thank you Marie and Rhonda! I was so excited when I saw what the project was this week! I can’t wait to get the kit that was shipped today, thank you fairies!
I actually just started the hobby of needle felting yesterday!! 🤩 What a cosmic alignment that this stream was also yesterday and I found it to watch the replay. Thank you so much for sharing this with us?
Determined to have a go (you made it look quite simple🙄) I visited my local charity shop and purchased 35 zips. Nobody raised an eyebrow, and even my husband didn’t ask ‘what on earth…..’! Had a go, not as simple as it looked, but not bad once you get the hang of it. I downloaded simple outline pics, and it’s going ok. I will persevere because I think there’s a decent finished 2D in there! Thank you once again for a unique slant on my favourite craft. 🤗
Zippers + Felting = Gorgeous! The sparkle that the zipper adds is the perfect touch especially for holiday ornaments and accent art. I love that the kit has three levels of complexity. Maybe just outlining a gingerbread man with a zipper is the Level Zero that I need! Thank you Rhonda for sharing your art and craft! To Marie, the Fairies, and, who can forget, Rodney Gene, Happy Happy Thanksgiving! You all are in my gratitudes.
Wow..so detailed. All three are beautiful. Sometimes less is more. I like Maries snow. I was thinking that you could always use glass beads instead of the zipper. Sew them on one at a time or string some on some thread and tack them down. Happy Thanksgiving gals
I tried some zipper art and wasn't happy with the results until I took a class from Rhonda and learned her technique! She is a great teacher, and her directions are very detailed with lots of photos. Thank you for sharing her beautiful designs with us!
Darn I joined right at the end so now watching the replay. That Christmas tree in particular is so stinkin’ cute and can’t wait to try making one. The use of zippers is so incredibly clever. And I love the little metallic zing t gives to the projects.
Thank you for doing these tutorials! I'd always wondered how this was done. It always looks like you're enjoying the projects, even when they're not behaving the way they're supposed to. I can't wait to try this.
I love the figures and have already ordered them. Your directions were so clear. This will be my first time working with zippers and you made it look easy.
This was as fun as I thought it would be! Learned lots of new stuff! My take away was figuring out what to do with the zipper tape fabric on the sides of the zipper. I thought maybe somehow you would sew that down to the felt.
I tried to make a poppy pin….loved it, until I trimmed around the edge and cut a bunch of the stitches and the outside trim fell off in parts. BOOOOOO……next time I won’t cut it so close.
