for stuff that won't stick when you needlefelt it, when ur making something always leave a bit of UNFELTED wool that way you can felt it as u attach and it'll stay! I learned that from a japanese needlefelt youtuber, they always leave a bit unfelted and then attach it using the unfelted part.

I saw a couple of them and bunch of times and I don't know which one you ment as the real one so I put all the times I saw them. Piplup is at 0:58 and at 7:26, I believe I saw Gengar at 1:00 - 1:02 in the big group of needle felt creations , and Pikachu is at 0:28 - 0:29, 0:58, and at 5:16 - 5:18.

Try needle felting on squishy plastic. Trust me if it’s warmed up after like 20 seconds, the plastic will melt back together and you will not be able to see the holes at all at work for lifetime. And it will not affect your needle felting
