As a beginner who has been watching a LOT of RU-vid needle felting videos and checking out every needle felting book available from my very large public library system, I am SO glad I found your channel! Your tutorials are the BEST basic, practical intro to this craft that I have found. Every one that I have watched so far has tip(s) and trick(s) applicable to any project I might want to make. This is the info I didn't know I needed and really haven't found elsewhere. And you teach it in such a logical progression with the only fluffy content being the actual wool!

I'm a very new felter. Like you, I'm a perfectionist; but unlike you, I have no head at all for math. I have started and then discarded my first 3 or 4 projects due to lumpy heads or weird body shapes that didn't look remotely like the species I was trying to felt. I had closed up my tub of shiny new supplies and wool I had bought for this wonderful new hobby and told myself that it just wasn't for me. . . UNTIL I FOUND YOU AND YOUR VIDEOS! Seriously, thank you so much for just being honest and busting the I-never-use-a-pattern myth. I thought I wasn't cut out for felting if I couldn't visualize a butterfly in my head and then create a perfectly symmetrical butterfly! What's even more amazing is that you actually explain the math behind symmetry and I understand it! 🤯Like the commenter below, I have purchased books and watched SO many tutorials and none of them seem to show the "real" trials and tribulations of needle felting. You are a fantastic instructor - not to mention your adorable sense of humor added in just makes it a joy to watch and follow along with your tutorials. Please keep making them! There's a large audience of felters out here watching and enjoying them.

Oh wow! I can't explain how moving it is to get such positive comments, thank you so much! There are times when I'm struggling to make a video and wonder if it's all worth it and then I get an amazing comment like this one and it gives me so much motivation. Making these videos is quite hard work but you have made me feel like it's all worth while, I really enjoy helping people to learn needle felting and I'm so glad that you have found my videos helpful. I'm all for using whatever technique helps you achieve your felting goal whether that's patterns, templates, maths or measuring 😁 thank you again for taking the time to write such lovely comments 😊

@@juliesfeltedfriends I’m sorry- I do tend to be wordy. 🫢 I only leave comments when I feel that someone has gone out of their way to be helpful or really deserves to be acknowledged and your tutorials certainly fit that criteria. Thanks again. 😊

@@juliesfeltedfriends No problem!! Ahh I see, yeah, that makes sense. I think I've learned over time how to be less of a perfectionist because of art h eh; it takes little failures to improve a lot~ I do still get frustrated though sometimes lol. Keep up the great work!

I agree, making mistakes does help you learn stuff 🙂 I am better at being less of a perfectionist than I used to be, it's a sliding scale isn't it 😊 glad you've managed to also tone it down. It can be frustrating when it doesn't turn out the way you want it, thanks again.

Thank you so much, Julie! You have this down to a science! I absolutely loved the tutorial and feel so privileged that you made it at my suggestion! Absolutely loved Pikachu, but I also loved Pikano and I was happy to see him get all better in the end! Thank you again and looking forward to your next tutorial!
