I love mine! I have a set fir my HAED that hangs on a ring on the scroll frame. No more tangles… no more DOG HAIR!!! Haha! I just started a Chatelaine, and I am using these for the silk threads to protect them and still be able to pull off 1 strand at a time. I have mine like the instructions. As long as you place a finger over the exposed thread when pulling a thread, it will stay neat and in the channel. Highly recommend this product! It does take a little time to get from Australia, but they ship out right away…
Hi Karen I also love my floss organiser. When I purchased mine I orders the tags with the DMC # and symbols which work just great. I love your video as you can alway learn a different way of doing things. I will try you idea of having a shorter neck shank at the top of the floss organiser . What works for me is having a needle minder inside the 3 ring binder that holes my floss with a permanent needle there to pull these threads . I put my working sewing needle on my needle holder that’s on my work and forget to take it over to pull the tread. If I have any thread over I put it on my floss organiser that comes with the kit but this means double searching for the treads . I like to cross country stitch and that way I use most of the tread and any that’s over tends to be frayed so I ditch it. Keep up the good work QLD Australia 🌸🌸🌸
Thank you for this video. It’s really interesting to see how other’s keep floss. Personally I use the floss bags on rings and and wrap on a floss card with 6 strands through the hole and if I have left over I put it in the bag for future use. I start by putting floss and bobbin in the bag and when I come to that color I cut my 18 inches then warp the bobbin with the rest then put my length of threads in the whole.
Awesome tutorial Mrs Karen and im going to try putting the floss on my wrist ...thank you so much 💓 and I also waste thread...I do save some longer pieces for those couple of Xs but I can always run to Hobby lobby if I need more
I am only using for a specific project. That is why I put a removable sticker on the top of the column with the color numbers in numerical order. Then i won’t need to move them around later. Plus I only put one project in the binder
If I were going to put multiple projects in the same binder I would make a list of all the numbers sort them numerically and then put them in the channels. It would just mean planning ahead a bit
