Here is just my initial thoughts of the Needone 23L. I only gave my negatives with this thing for now because you can see a bunch of videos on the positives. I also did a mini humidor tour
I love your channel man. I think you and I have very similar taste and cigars as well… It seems like you are all about quality not quantity… I like that. I have purchased a good number of cigars… I will say that I came upon your channel because of the Amazon basin review. That is my favorite. The last three times that they have released the cigars. I have gotten lucky and have scored… I might have five boxes maybe six of the Amazon basin… Keep up the good work man.
I have the King Chii warming/chilling humidor. It has been working great and the cedar smell is amazing! It has been holding humidity very well. It comes with a small cup that I keep distilled water in. I'm sitting at 68% consistently. Oh, you video was good, it looked like you had it auto focus which will always focus on the main image.😊 The trays are just like yours which sucks and the door is the same which is a pain in the azz 😊 I have moved mine at least 3 times just to find a place that I can open the door completely. I'll have to get some wood to add like you did so my cigars don't fall out every single time.
Oh ok, so you got the King Chii, I was deciding between this one and the one i got. I’ve heard a lot of great things about the King Chii, I’m gonna get another one to do a comparison and I might get that one to see how it goes. Yea the smell on this one is killing me 😅 Thank you for watching the video and thank you for giving a recommendation 🙏🏼
The door issue is across the board on all models. The bad smell however, none of mine smell bad, I love the way mine smell, awesome collection bro, havnt had the purple rain opus, that's another that's hard for me to get. I do have lost city coming though. Great video. Thanks for the mention on your channel, that's totally cool of you, Keep it smokey brother.
When they were brand new did you get an initial bad odor? It still smells a little bit now. I’m wondering if I should just leave it open for a few days?
@WorkingManCigars a little bit of a plastic smell, I wiped it down with distilled water and baking soda and left it open a couple days, and that was all
Nice collection, I have a Needone 48L cooler only. I am a little disappointed in how well it regulates the temperature. The house is kept at 70 set the 48 at 70 and the temp would be 64. Now I set the temp at the highest 74 and it keeps the sticks at 68. Other then the temperature problem, I like it. Great videos keep them coming.
Yea same here bro. The temp is the only thing that has kinda bugged me but other than that i have been happy with it. I have started getting used to it enjoy being able to sort through my sticks easily. Thank you for watching and sharing a comment bro 🙏🏼
I'm definitely having the same problems. Most ppl forget that part in their reviews. And no one tells you the battle at getting it where you want when you first getone. You really need someone to personally explain
@@nathanhawee5373 yea that’s true Nathan, I have gotten a few messages from people telling me how you got a clean it, how to seal it better, and a bunch of stuff. There isn’t really any videos like that, I might try doing something like that later on when I get a little bit more experience with it.
@WorkingManCigars that would definitely be kewl. I mean possibly everyone figures it out quicker but there are Lil quirks about the machine...haha should have gotten one with a heater, it's so cold here in Illinois it's affecting my coolador temp and rh.
I. Have the opposite issue. My temp stays rock steady at 70. But the humidification never gets above 65%. I’m using 4 320g 69% Boveda packs and 65 is all I get. Luckily 65 is a workable level
I highly recommend the schmecke 400 . I have 2 of them . Ive had them for a couple of years with no problems. It heats and cools also it has its own humidity compartment that you fill with distilled water with fans that circulates the humidity. So no need for the bovedas that can get expensive over time . A little on the pricey side but well worth it . Also, i live in Vegas where its really hot and dry in the summers. 👊
Nice video Roger, Again you are you, always straight and natural 😍 I like you table behind you 🎉😮❤ You need to smoke H.Upmann N2 it's one of the good Cubans 😉 Thank you Roger God bless you 🙏
Thanks Viktor! Yea brotha i heard really good things about the H Upmann, im gonna be smoking that cigar soon. Thank you bro, I made that table out of a maple wood slab. I wish i would have recorded it lol. Thank you for watching Viktor
Hahah whenever you say “this is going to be a quick video” I know it’s going to be epic. The Menelik is fire you should try it. Also you got some fire sticks. Killing it with the opus!!!
Yo Calical! I really thought it was going to be a short video. 😅 The hunt really paid off last month for these sticks but really hurt my wallet. I looking forward to trying these sticks real soon. Thank you for always watching and commenting. 🙏🏼
Yo Peter! Bro I thought I would have sent your package out by now but I haven’t been able to. I have it already bagged up, I just have to box it and take it to the post office. Sorry about that bro, I will have it out this week for sure
Nice man, thats a ton of great sticks! I have an Audew electric humidor for the same reason, its gets freaking hot in the summer. It’s been great and hold humidity and temp perfect.
Yea i will definitely feel more comfortable having a cooling unit during the summer here because the RH levels don’t seem to match up when it’s hot. Even if the RH is low, sometimes the cigars will swell up or have other issues. I’m not sure if that just happens to me but im tired of dealing with that during summer lol. Thank you for watching and commenting bro
Thank you Joseph! Yea man i love the collecting aspect of the hobby and it’s hella cool when you find a rare stick out there. Thank you for watching the video bro
@@WorkingManCigars it's ok..it reads good just can't fill it up won't work right holds humidity well just some sticks are at 62/60 I got boveda 65 in there I got it cause my place gets super hot..I hope it works well in the summer bro😜👊
Brotha preach! It’s always expectation vs reality. Most humidors look bad ass but it’s what fits your needs. Sometimes the simple things provide more bang for your buck 😂 Ima light up a Julius Cesar this weekend, I can’t find it in a shark where I’m at 😢 Bro the Egg is gonna be interesting 😂😂
Yo what’s up Izzy! Yea for sure! That’s I feel as well. I have never found the Julius shark that wasn’t in the “toast across America” pack. I know Tampa sweethearts still has a few I believe bro
@@WorkingManCigars Good lookin’ out! I’m definitely gonna order one. Brotha, what tool brand do you use for work?! You can use a Milwaukee tool box as a humidor, I’m gonna rig one out and let you know if it works😂
Oh no way!!! Really? Bro a lot of people have mentioned that they prefer the toast across America shark over the standard opus shark. So that makes sense. Cool man, thanks for the info and thank you for watching Kaine 👍🏼
@@WorkingManCigars Awesome! I needed somewhere to store my boxes of Cubans for long term aging. I hear this is possibly the best way to do it. 65% large boveda packs in a yeti 😎🥳 Just got back from 3 weeks in Cuba and while I was away my AC went out and I was so stressed about all my cigars. Luckily they’re all fine.
Awesome setup and collection of sticks Sir. Recently purchased a needone 23L that i need to setup. How did attach the sides with glue or nails of some sort? Also would like to know if the amazon shelves fit inside the needone just in case i can't modify my shelves?
Hey what’s up bro! Nice, i hope that new needone works well for you. So i was using pin nails to attach the sides on the shelves but the nails were hard to put In straight, so i used a hot glue gun and that worked great. I think as long as you get the shelves that are for your exact model, then they should work perfectly. One of my buddies has the shelves and he likes them. Hope that helps you brotha. Thanks again for watching and commenting 🙏🏼
Thanks for responding Bro I decided to just buy a basket shelf from need one, didn't want the headache of a diy project. Want to also let you know that I love the Raw style you use in your videos everything doesn't have to a Hollywood production. Keep pushing!
@@diamondboy45 hey thank you bro! I appreciate that man, I really do admire those nice produced videos but I struggle with these so making those type of videos are not in my future lol. Thanks again bro 👍🏼
What’s up bro! Thermoelectric units are definitely the way to go if you have any issues with temperature. The Needone and KingChii units are made at the same factory, so basically they are the same exact units. Especially when talking about the smaller sized humidors. Hopefully that smell goes away brother. 🤢 🤮 Your collection is making me proud bro! 💪😃 I love watching sick humidor tours. I might have to drive over there and smoke with you bro.
Yo Dlov! Thank you brotha 🙏🏼 Oh so the kingchi and needone pretty much the same. I might spring for the new air to see if the higher expense is worth it, just the small one since it’s the cheapest lol. Heck yea bro, we gotta link up someday and smoke some cigars!
Hey what’s up K. Yessir, still using it. I’ve actually grown to like it quite a bit. Specially, right now that it’s getting warm. It keeps the cigars at the proper temperature. A little bit small and wish I would’ve got a bigger one but overall I am happy with it
How hot does your cooler get in the summer when its 85 degrees in the tupperd? I have the needone but have condensation problem. Thinking of the cooler. Its usually 85 here
Oh damn Richard! I just started having condensation on my needone too! Now that it’s getting hot, it’s starting to have condensation on the back wall of the humidor! The cooler gets hot too bro. I’m sure you’re struggling with the high heat issue as well. It’s tough because when the cigars are above the proper temp they get super squishy. Some people say it doesn’t matter but i notice a difference
@WorkingManCigars dang. It's 85 here year round and I'm averaing 72rh with no humidification and my cigars get wet with the condensation. I've tried everything. I think the cedar lined ones like the raching would be free of the condensation problem but out of my price range. Thanks for the response. I'll pause on the coolidor
Heck yea bro 100%. I heard they’re all like that. I like the idea of keeping the temp right but it isn’t as smooth as I was hoping. Thank you for watching brotha 🙏🏼
To make the factory smell go away take all the cigars out, leave some baking soda in there for about a week. Put it back. Alternatively, just keep a shit ton of cigars in there and it will get that dope humidor tobacco smell in about a month.
@@PickJimi Yo what’s up DJ! I’ve had a few people recommend the baking soda, so I might have to do that soon because the smell is killing me lol. Im surprised about the cooler, Peter also said the cooler is the best move. So with the cooler, I have Bovedas in there and then i have cigars in ziplock bags but do you keep the bags open? So that they can get the humidification?
Aw man, I've got a whole step by step tutorial typed up and saved in my phone on how to prep a thermoelectric that would have fixed some of your issues. Part of it deals with the smell.
@@CigarCarpenter mine never had a bad smell, I have 3 and they all smell great when I open them, I did wipe them down with distilled water and baking soda and left them open for a couple days before seasoning.
Damn, yea bro the smell bothered me as soon as I got it. It said to let it “gas out” for 20 min but I left it open and on for almost 6 hrs! It still smells a little bit right now
@WorkingManCigars it's all about making a paste out of baking soda and water and slathering the plastic inside with it. Then letting it sit overnight craked open a little. Worked wonders for me.
