I was expecting this to be a huge shitpost on parasocial culture, and it was. But man the writing is sooooo good. They absolutely nailed a simulated microcosm of the current internet and made me feel uncomfortable in a good way.

Tbh, not really much horror (coming from a guy who generally avoids horror). I think psychological thriller may be more apt. Or if you’re the kind of person who finds this game hits too close to home, maybe it’s more of an existential horror. Luckily, I’m neither needy nor a girl (nor a streamer or emotionally unstable, tho I have a moderate mental illness), so it had minimal impact on me. Spoilers Below Except, ironically, the happier ending. That was... god, no... becoming a normie and finding a job... no, please... i just can’t... oh no no no... Geez! That was just the scariest, lol.
