I much prefer this version with the technical room in the main hull instead of the extra cabin. My question is where does all that equipment go to with the center cabin version?
I really like this boat. It has a lot of excellent features. The space, the storage and the layout make this a palace for a capable cruising couple, with occasional guests. The galley is fantastic with wonderful counter space sufficient to actually prepare a meal. Something that was not adequately demonstrated though is, do the cabinet doors and drawers have solid positive locks to keep contents in place in rambunctious seas? Also, how is the sound insulation for the owner's cabin in the main salon? If one of the kids or a guest is on night watch at the nav station, how private is that cabin? Love the engine room. One could actually maintain or fix systems without being a contortionist. Well done. I would like to see how the helm station would be properly enclosed for weather protection. I do not understand why such an enclosure is not a standard feature on all, not just this Neel, sailboats. As if anyone not on a racing boat is going to stand watch and pilot a boat out in the open, exposed to wind, cold, rain and spray for days or weeks on end. (Yes, this is an excellent luxury SUV with all the features you could desire for an excellent price! You should buy it, but of course, the windshield and glass for the rest of the windows are not included.) Get my point?
