I was able to see this movie during 1968 from Trissur during my pre degree days. Later I was blessed to see Darjeeling during 1988. I would never forget Mahendrakapoor Sab Ravi Sab and this beautiful movie. This is a one in a million milestone song which has no parallels probably. I am thankful to all people who like this song. Not able to forget the same. Jai Hind.

My late father used to sing this song when I was a young child when we joined him in Britain in 1968. I wrongly searched for it many times using Leele Gagan… without success. Then presto one day I heard it on a golden oldies compilation. I shared the song with my siblings. One of my most favourite songs.

Sir this is an evergreen song. It was released yrs before my birth but still i love it. Now i am 36 and sometimes i fell i am getting old but when i listen to the song, its always fresh and never fail to creat the magic. Im a Malaysian, aged 64. When I first came across the instrumental version of this song I was 10 yrs old and was attending The Royal Indian Circus in 1969. Since then I have enjoyed listening this amazing song so many times so much so it had become one of the top hundred songs of my life. Lately, saw the grandson of singer Mahendra kapoor singing this on stage. AWESOME !!!

My most favourite old Hindi song. I am a Keralite and first heard this beautiful and melodious song in my college days in 1970's sung by one of my colleagues. But, when I came to Delhi in 1979, I watched the movie and till date I watched the song hundreds of times and many years used the song as my mobile dial tone. Hats off to Mahendra Kapoor who sung this immortal song. Now a days, we all missed such melodious songs in the Hindi movies.❤💐

A beautiful song that always sticks in my mind. Sung by the great Mahendra Kapoor Saheb for the film Hamraaz - Considered as his best by many. Memories still lingers in my mind is the film Hamraaz, which I watched with my family at Harihar Talkies, Taliparamba in 1968. 55 years have passed then! Thank you for instilling a strong sense of nostalgia.

I'm not Indian but this is the earliest Indian song I remember hearing (despite being an early 90s baby). I've been looking for this song for years but all I could remember was the fact that it was an old Indian song. lol Tonight, I decided to try and search again and somehow part of the melody came back to be. Thanks to modern technology I was able hum the part I remembered to SoundHound and I finally found this gem. I now have it saved. Haha

A few weeks ago we found out this was my Dad’s favourite song. After a 13 month battle with pancreatic cancer he passed away on 29 March 2024. At his funeral this beautiful song was played to a montage of favourite photos assembled by his grandchildren. 😢🙏🏽❤️
