Either you can use the original songs in your movie or they should cut a deal with the original music director to compose for them. There is no copyright law validates plagiarism. Ilaiyaraja is 8 level gold medalist in guitar from trinity college of London . Composed this fully in guitar .. then distributed notes to other instruments and recorded ... after listening tamil version this is composition is not so technical but nicely copied and composed for Hindi version . Original is always original .

This is a copy from a Rabindrasangeet ( tomer holo suru..) composed probably by Bappi Lahiri and made the song couple of bits faster. People do not aware how many such evergreen songs are made from Rabindrasangeet . Tagore is the most Original, talented writer, composer probably the world has ever produced. Song writer like Gulzar's drawing room is decorated with " Gitobitan" in his Delhi house. We may not aware that music director even today especially in India ( North/ South) or abroad to some extent follow Tagore !
