Amid protests over NEET, the Indian government informed the Supreme Court that compensatory marks awarded to 1,563 candidates would be cancelled. These candidates can take a re-test on June 23. However, Maheshwar Peri, founder of Careers360, feels that the issue is much bigger than just the grace marks. He feels that the sanctity of the NEET exam has been compromised, as some "exam centers have been compromised".
The decision follows an investigation into allegations that some students weren't given the full exam duration. A committee from the National Testing Agency (NTA) had recommended compensatory marks, sparking public outrage and exposing further issues like question paper leaks and torn OMR sheets.
Maheshwar Peri discussed the issue, highlighting systemic flaws in the examination process and the impact on students' futures. He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the testing system to restore confidence among aspirants and their families.
