@@PatrickMastersProductions oh und neewer version 2 feels cheaper than Smallrig? I was shortly before ordering Neewer - but than I read some negative reviews about their online shop.
I see your VND mounts properly on the smallrig, VND mound that came with mine did not, it mounted so far before hitting the end point that the vnd did not cover any lens other than the lens it was mounted to. You do not seem to have this issue? Yours seems to stop in the correct position?
I did get the Brandon Li codesigned Smallrig kit for my iPhone 15 Pro Max and was so impressed that I got the Smallrig cage for my iPhone 15 Pro to keep everything compatible and interchangeable with the filers and lenses. I have ordered the new T insert for the new Moment lenses. The big plus for me was the handles - so quick and so easy to attach and move. I have the old rigs and the 1/4" screw-in handles are a pain in the butt. Hats off to Smallrig for a great product.
I got the Brandon Li version and struggled to put it together--my fingers are apparently very large, and thus, the poles were hard to screw in. All in all, it has everything you'd want from a cage. Lots of cold shoe slots, and bluetooth, which few cages have.
@@Ferrous_Bueller I do multi cam videos and with the Blackmagic cam App it lets you do that easily. Just what my work requires for the videos I need to produce. Btw my provider had a great promotion and I traded in some Samsung phones that I hated.
Is it good for having the following together to reach the best compatibility ? - smallrig cage for iphone 15 pro 4396 - 17mm threaded back mount plate 4394 - neewer LS-42 18mm wide angle len Want to hear from you before purchase
I disagree and there are things that Small rig do, but they are twice the price and the one that you showed is nearly three times the price, £134 here in uk I know because I recently tried all. The small rig handles are ok. But have no safety lock on, Neewers do, also it’s swings and roundabouts you can’t get replacement operator buttons for small rig so if you loose or it fails, or you want a spare you can’t.
Tried them both, sold the Smallrig and got a second newer for another phone… the interchangeable lens plate and the antislip spring-loaded cold shoes with rubber pad are brilliant.. all my accessories fit well. I added a nato rail… game changer… the 3 extra 1/4 20mmm with arri locking pin hole on every 1/420 are perfect… the newer also has a nice soft pad for a tight more secure fit and you can remove the whole face plate too for more epic rigs. it’s a shame you missed to mention all that in your ‘review?’ Yeah total of x12 1/4 20 holes
their type-c to type-c U SHAPE converter is not working for ssd. lmao i just bought. i shouldve known cos it literally said type c to type c AUDIO CONVERTER 😢
what would be the best setup if I want to take the iPhone 15 Pro Max to do video clips in music concerts and travelling? Intend to connect a Belkin USB-C 4 port hub, a charging battery and an SSD drive
Please if you could do a review on how compatible the moment M lenses are on the iPhone 15 pro max, the manufacturer says that they are not as sharp as the T lenses, is that right?
Found it! Thank you! I had actually already seen this video LOL. Was good to see it again, for it solidified my decision to get it due to the versatility of use with different lenses. I would like to try the Moment T-series 33 Anamorphic as well as SmallRigs own 55 Anamorphic. Thank you so much for the comparison. It's very usefull to me. You are very thorough with the comparison. Thanks again.
Only the screw in aspect, the shoe mounts are a different thickness, so the Bluetooth button on smallrig won’t fit Neewer and the clip on handles are different on both Neewer has a safety lock
Great video i was mainly confused about the filter thread on small rig, do you know if I can get their vnd filter separately without buying the brandon li kit? I already have a case and i cant find the filter
Yes you can. Also you can change out the lens mounting plate. I am upgrading to a T mount and going with the new Moment lenses and filter adapter. I just found on Amazon a M mount to 37mm adapter that should work with Beast Grip Lenses if you have those already. This just makes this kit all that more useful and does not lock you into a specific case/lens combination.
