I saw this movie Friday. I haven’t stopped thinking about it and told someone today that it was two characters in a room talking. They asked if it got boring seeing that for 90 minutes and I said: “you’ll be on the edge of your seat from the moment he first speaks”. Unbelievably well acted. Too bad Sean Flannery won’t be considered for an Oscar, he definitely gave a performance that deserved it.
Boy, satan hated this movie. It was excellent. Saw it 2x and even bought a guy I had just met 2 hours earlier at Mass. Fr. Carlos Martins told us about it. This was Oscar worthy for sure. If Hollyweird had this "Christian" film, there would be conversions right there on the spot! I wish these 2 NJ guys and crew the best.
@Justice We can say what we want about Netflix but they have room for these types of movies. I would not be surprised to see it in 2024 on the platform or even sooner. In fact, all the movies that make a buzz end up on Netflix at some point. So I'm confident it will be the case for this one as well.
I saw the movie last Friday and the word that came to mind is POWERFUL. I felt led to pray the St. Michael prayer prior to the start and ended up led to pray throughout. Not out of fear but what I viewed led me to ongoing prayer. God bless all of you for this work. The last seconds after the credits, WOW! Viva Cristo Rey✝️🙏
I got lucky and seen it just last Sunday night. Still thinking about it. I didn't know that this was a serious movie, that's why I didn't see it until the last weekend it will probably be in the cinema. Due to Hollywood trying to squash it. We need to try to get it back out there. I want everyone to see it.
I haven’t seen a movie made so well and so powerful for quite some time. Will be going to see it again with my teenage kids. And I’m recommending it to friends and family. An Oscar performance.
My 16 year old grandson went to the theater with me & my 2 grown daughters. Had my grandson had not been there with us, I would have taken him to the theater the next day!

It was a very good movie. I was pleasantly surprised and also, satisfied. The 3rd guy here, the shrink, he did a great job at explaining his character. He is very professional and objective and neutral and cannot accept the spiritual option and gets caught in something over his head. Nefarious did a good job at trying to tell him that he was not up to the task in what he was dealing with.
Another phenomenal movie that takes place in a single room, a police emergency call center, and is heart-poundingly brilliant is the Danish film The Guilty. SO GOOD!
Tried to see this movie last night and the theater said they stopped it because they are closing early. Mean while is see showtimes past their closing time for Mario, John Wick 4, Evil Dead, and many more. This movie only shows around me at AMC selected theaters for 5:30pm (time everyone is getting off work or driving home from work). I live in Cali, SD. Why is it so hard to see this movie? Something give me the impression that they are trying to cancel it. Mean while I see reviews from critics giving it 27% while the audience gives it 97%.
In my city, it’s playing at 10:25 pm only! Now there is one other theatre and I’m hoping they’ll show it next week, but it’s doubtful. As much as I want to see it, I may not be able to.
I think he was trying to stay detached? Being an evangelist perhaps not trying to give it too much credence? But I bet he still thinks about the film and will for many many months. Praying he will convert in time.
Pray for conversion!!! I didn't think it was fun, I thought it was thought and prayer provoking. Wake up and see how your strings are being pulled and by whom?. The only thing I found lacking was how the psychiatrist called for God's help yet that wasn't discussed in his interview. Like in the bible when only 1 of those with leprosy who were healed returned to thank Jesus. Praying for him...Near daily now! I cannot see how many intelligent people can be so deceived. For men( Steven Covey, Glenn Beck certain Politicians... Etc...) that pride themselves in research I am surprised that they have not done the due diligence.There has never been any archeological proof for any of the claims of Mormonism. Further there has not been any physical proofs either. So I continue to pray with utmost concern.
Well said. I'm Ex LDS(Mormon) now Evangelical Christian. Most LDS don't research their Religion. Because they are taught NOT To question their leaders especially the LDS President/ Prophet LDS members are taught to doubt your doubts

The thing is, if you look at why people are leaving their faith it’s not to join another faith…it’s typical that they become atheists. How about you focus on praying for people losing their faith in Christ all together instead of praying that someone tears down their entire faith completely because you disagree with them doctrinally. Unfortunately, no matter how well this movie performs, it will receive zero mainstream praise. But a slavery movie depicting a cruel white man and noble slave would be GUARANTEED several nominations even if the movie is awful and written by a 9 year old.
Just got out from watching it. Well thoughts, honestly its a tad unnerving and a touch disturbing! With that said, don't go in expecting a true "horror" movie. There are no jump scares here to be found, so if you have the wrong idea I suggest you change your mindset or you will be greatly disappointed. It's scary in the sense of the fear of the unknown and of the supernatural, and is deeply disturbing, but not once did I jump out of my chair! Not saying it's not a good movie, because it is, just don't go in expecting that kind of movie!
It is not an adult cartoon but a psychological movie. The horror comes from realizing how the devil's hate and dispise us and work so hard to keep us from Heaven.

After I watched the movie, I was scared of people around me, I feel like evil is lurking around me, here and there, I got scared of people, and it’s just going to suddenly show up in front of me.

Right, I just pray and rely on the heavenly hosts to continue to protect me and focus on their love and protection, because I cannot focus on fear and don’t want negativity to surround me.
@@sopad4629 , I took my daughter and granddaughter to see this movie, and despite the fact that I have studied the bible and have tried to teach my daughter some basics, she felt just like you. That's the only fear I have with this movie...people who have studied the word understand exactly how powerful this is but people like yourself and my daughter may miss the truth of how the devil deceives us. I can tell you are not yet strong on your beliefs, and that's fine, everybody starts somewhere. I want you to understand this, this world is filled with evil, you may not see it like the movie but it's around you now. Praying for the heavenly host to protect you is not the strenght you need. GOD gives us power over all evil. You have HIS protection, if you believe HE is who HE says HE is. All you have to do, ( only if you honestly believe in GOD and HIS SON, JESUS) is demand that evil leave you alone and then you say, I command you in the name of JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. But there are also other ways to be sure you are safe and that is...never be involved with anything that allows evil to slip in you. You have to allow it. Your actions and / or your words give evil the welcome home inside your soul. I suggest you get a KJV bible and an older Strong's Concordance . The Concordance takes every word in the bible , in the language it was written and tells you what it means. Just think of the bible as the story of the family of JESUS, with all the people involved along the way. Adam and Eve were not the only people on earth, they are the beginning where satan try's to interfere with the birth of JESUS many generations before HE was born. Oh, how you know they were not alone, because their son, Cain went to another town called Nod and married his wife. Here's another interesting thought. When you get to the part where it's all the begats...Joe begat Bob and so on...look at Adam and Eve's, there is no Cain. A few pages over you will find Cain's genealogy. The names in Cain's genealogy look almost identical to Adam's. Why is that? You figure it out. If you are strong in your faith, you fear no evil. 💯

The Devil, Satan, satan, Lucifer, The Dragon, Son of perdition, The Great Deceiver is not a demon. He is a fallen angel. A cherubim to be exact. The movie does a good job at emphasizing the spiritual war (Ephesians 6) , but we should be careful not to fall into doctrine or dogma, but rather diligently search the scripture to confirm its veracity (Acts 17:11) Overall, the movie is a step in the right direction, but tread carefully and rely solely on The Word. Diligent student of scripture for 50+ years with emphasis on the Dead Sea Scrolls and comparing scripture with the original Hebrew and Greek texts. I try to live according to God’s word, with Jesus as my example. I just KNEW some diluted Western Christianity doctrine would sneak in and twist things around somehow. I must say, there was nothing said that I disagreed with.
Buuuuuuuut we all know the "Oscar" will go to sequel no.83 of some dude or dudette in a skin tight latex suit, cape and mask, running around some city and "fighting crime and evil" while kicking a**. Because that's how childish our perception of "evil" is. To a vast majority of people out there, evil is some bad guy in a stupid movie plot who has scars, a weird voice and acts like they pump 8 gallons of acid into his veins every 3 hours and can be "defeated" by a swift punch/kick combination and handed over to an incompetent police chief.

"The PLAN of SALVATION also INCLUDES THOSE who ACKNOWLEDGE the Creator, in the FIRST PLACE amongst WHOM are the MUSLIMS; these PROFESS to hold the FAITH of Abraham, and together with us they ADORE the one, merciful God, mankind's JUDGE on the last day."(841) Folks, Muslims do NOT have the "faith of Abraham" who in fact "believed God"; Muslims DENY Jesus Christ of Nazareth as God incarnate; they DENY Him as the "Lamb of God who [took] away the sin of the world," (John 1:29) by His death and resurrection; Jesus is the Creator of the universe and Judge. THEY help it TURN to God, Creator and Father of humankind. THEY position ALL people in a WIDER, COMMON HORIZON. We ACCEPT this MISSION, and we commit ourselves to taking the PATHWAY of comprehension and reconciliation." And what did Jesus say about the WIDE way that the Catholic Church is taking, the "WIDER COMMON HORIZON," versus the NARROW: "Enter by the NARROW gate; for WIDE is the gate and BROAD is the way that leads to DESTRUCTION, and there are MANY who go in by it. I found the movie to be very interesting but what was Glenn Beck chosen for that role for? When the demon in the movie started talking about how humans want to make themselves god or become gods I couldn't help but to see the irony of Beck being in the movie. Does anyone realize the demon was mocking Beck's Mormon beliefs? I'm certain this part of the movie went right over Beck's head and over the head of the producers and directors who chose Beck. I laughed out loud when I heard the demon essentially say, "Hey Beck this comment is pointed at you!"

I’ve seen catholic priests say many times they don’t own the rights - and that holy water and such aren’t even necessary! I watched one yesterday in fact where the interviewer asked the priest just this- and he answered honestly- we don’t have to have holy water. I saw another one where the priest flicked just a dab of holy water on the back of someone who claimed possession and he jumped clear out of his seat. Said person had no idea that a mere drop hit him in the back but the demon knew and reacted. They have ways to figure out if possession is really happening. And this is a tool. In America they have to undergo medical care first to see if there is a medical diagnosis. There are some key indicators but I was rather intrigued by the holy water droplet !

If you did you would do RCIA to enter the Roman Catholic Church and get down on your knees in front of the most Holy Eucharist . Pray for God’s forgiveness in the sacrament of penance. My daughter used to work at a children's home with a lady who lost her sister and 3 nephews and 2 nieces due to her son-in-law killing them all by sharp force knife wounds to mostly the neck area while bound by duct tape. I mention this as this man always claimed that he heard voices and that "many bad spirits" made him do it. When asked if he had any accomplices, he told the police a "visible spirit" manifested and helped him do it. This man was Haitian and was brought up as an Evangelical Christian by his parents in Haiti but then they left him to immigrate to US and left him with relatives that practiced voodoo. He eventually immigrated and married his wife and they then went on to have their 5 children. The murders took place in 2009 in Naples, FL where we lived at the time. One can look this up, his last name Damas. He's still on death row on 6 counts of premeditated murder. This movie immediately brought that to mind. Think of all the crimes you see going on...and they are all just from evil motives in a person? Think more on the line of thoughts that people take as their own, become emotionally unstable and then act on the these thoughts which may be "interjected thoughts" from malevolent spirits. It really makes one stop and think seriously on what is actually behind all the evil that manifests in this world through people... which that is how demons operate. They get one to agree with their interjected thoughts and then oppress the person in various ways(if person is born again believer or basic believer) or possess the person(if person is a non-believer) and then carry out whatever they can in either case. My husband used to direct a Christian based after-school program in the same area and most of the kids he had under his care were immigrants from either Haiti, Mexico, Honduras or another central American country. The kids from Haiti were very leery of other kids that would mention the subject of demons, witchcraft, etc, especially around the time if year of Halloween. They were very respectful in a somewhat knowingly fearful reverential attitude as they had seen way too much in the islands and been taught by their parents and grandparents as Holy Spirit filled believers.
Praise the Lord for his Great Salvation! This movie gives so much joy to believers who know that our victory was won at the cross! Praise the Lord! My two daughters and I just saw the movie tonight and we came out rejoicing! It makes us realize we need to be winning souls for Jesus!
Yes, but not to Catholicism...another false religion. I was listening and seeing about this movie and was wanting to go see it but notice most involved are Catholic. I have nothing against catholic people but do not share many of their doctrinal beliefs ...most importantly performance-based salvation. Does the movie promote this?

This movie was good, looking forward to another. This one reminded me alot of Law abiding citizen with gerard butler getting himself arrested but the dialogs in that prison was a great comparison i believe. The one man said and "the virgin" was he talking about Mary or Jesus although never heard Jesus referred as that but figured I'd ask before pointing out
Hoping to go see Nefarius this Saturday. I watch Steve Deace on the Blaze channel anytime I get the chance. What a great guy he is on his show that brings political news and happenings that the mainstream media won't show. I'm sure this movie which is based off of his book, will hold my overall attention just like his show does. Cudos to Glen Beck also. I know Glen brought up this movie several times while airing on his show as well. Just like Steve, Glen knows all the ins and the outs of all these evil agendas going on right now around the world. Can't say enough good about either one of these Christian men and Pluto TV and the Blaze channel is very fortunate to have them both.
I guess the movie is what the extreme right wing sided people wanted. It was extremely grabby towards them. I also think Glenn Beck has fallen since radio. His part in the movie was extremely dry. If you like a C- acting movie about anit-woke agendas this is the movie for you.
With all due respect, the Roman Catholic Church is not the true Church. God says to call no man father and that we are not to bjw down to graven images. Why did the Roman Catholic Church take out the 2nd commandment "Yku shall not worship any graven image? God isn't fond of necromancy either. Why venerate Mary? To say she never sinned? I live in Indiana, and none of the theaters are showing this one. We only have AMC, and they are owned by the Chinese, so probably won't be showing, ever.
The ONLY protection from "The Evil One" is through salvation and becoming filled with the Holy Ghost!
