Here is a very dynamic singing group who have depth and rhythms that I have not heard for many years. Their music speaks as a universal language should. Their group of voices has a wonderful mix of music energy that cuts across all lines of cultural peoples. Great music!

Great Music, the mountains are the place to be.I read once "Flee To The Mountains"

I love this bluegrass adaptation of a frequently sung Hebe Psalm from our prayer services. I can't claim our congregation is ever any more in tune than I am, which is purely by chance as I've got a tin ear, but we always sure do make a joyful noise with that in Ivrith\Hebe with its equally rousing groove and cantillation melody from antiquity & much hard traveling. However, when I read your line, Tennessee CB: "Great Music, the mountains are the place to be.I read once "Flee To The Mountains" what popped into my noggin' wasn't a bluegrass song but a Canadian (and lapsed Mormon at that!) country rocker named Corb Lund who is a wicked good songwriter at crafting the human condition and our absurdities especially in troubled times into songs that lend a shoulder or brewski to lean on. Corb Lund spends most of his time on his family's Alberta ranch tending to that livelihood, before pandemic he got signed to U.S. record label New West so was packing his band The Hurtin' Albertans into a van and touring down here to the Pacific NW and down the west coast for seasonal gigs after the wintry thaws. This song popped into my mind just cuz it presents a vivid contrast to your line Tennessee CountryBoy and could have been written during Pandemic In Perpetuity rather than in the economically unstable years just before the 2020 Global outbreak and lockdowns with quarantine across humanity: Perhaps just a shade or titch darker than Nefesh (means "soul" in Hebe) Mountain's necessarily more inspiring and rousing arrangement! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5uASQgLwaIs.html Corb Lund - Gettin' Down on the Mountain (Online Exclusive) Corb Lund 48.4K subscribers 1,056,102 views Jun 19, 2012 Gettin' Down on the Mountain - share it! #cabinfever From the new album, 'Cabin Fever' in stores & online worldwide August 14, 2012 via New West Records. "We shot this one just before the snow melt in northern Alberta. Something me and my buddy Fish came up with. You likely won't see it on TV because it has 'shit' over and over in the choruses. And the beard is real, in answer to numerous inquiries. Directed and shot by Fish Griwkowsky and edited by Justin Lachance." - Corb Lund #CABINFEVER @corblund www.corblund.com Keep on bringing the light to the darkness on all cultural and ethnic and linguistic and melodic and tuning fronts! With all the tragedy, not all of it of we mere mortals' making, da human condition is as absurd and then some as anything the great artists like playwright Samuel Becket in "Waiting for Godot" or "Krapp's Last Tape" or fellow exiled Irish novelist James Joyce noted in "Ulysses" or "Finnegan's Wake"! If only the French existentialists like Antonin Artaud coulda seen the human comedy of life on a food chain, perhaps his radio plays woulda worked in translation to the English language...(They were translated by Black Sparrow Press and were a real find during my protracted adolescence and ongoing crises of faith...But not as fun and tonic to sing as Tehillim\Psalms in Hebe, or to chortle through as in the English translations of great Theater of the Absurd's darker if more compelling playwrights & actors who were hip to The Black Holes long before the New Physics and Astronomers got there...) My own pea-brain has a hard time grasping the hows\whys so much of the mysteries of her\history comes down to A compassionate\merciful Maker that would often so resemble a Mafia God-Father's Business Model\Plan in the mysterious methodologies of evolution and what we laughingly or ruefully call progress. I submit as evidence: www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/27501395 "Godfather of the Music Business: Morris Levy Richard Carlin 3.78 46 ratings14 reviews Association of Recorded Sound Collections Awards for Excellence Best Historical Research in Record Labels - Best History (2017) "This biography tells the story of one of the most notorious figures in the history of popular music, Morris Levy (1927-1990). At age nineteen, he cofounded the nightclub Birdland in Hell's Kitchen, which became the home for a new musical style, bebop. Levy operated one of the first integrated clubs on Broadway and helped build the careers of Dizzy Gillespie and Bud Powell and most notably aided the reemergence of Count Basie. In 1957, he founded a record label, Roulette Records. Roulette featured many of the significant jazz artists who played Birdland but also scored top pop hits with acts like Buddy Knox, Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, Joey Dee and the Starliters, and, in the mid-1960s, Tommy James. "Stories abound of Levy threatening artists, songwriters, and producers, sometimes just for the sport, other times so he could continue to build his empire. Along the way, Levy attracted "investors" with ties to the Mafia, including Dominic Ciaffone (a.k.a. "Swats" Mulligan), Tommy Eboli, and the most notorious of them all, Vincent Gigante. Gigante allegedly owned large pieces of Levy's recording and retail businesses. "Starting in the late 1950s, the FBI and IRS investigated Levy but could not make anything stick until the early 1980s, when Levy foolishly got involved in a deal to sell remaindered records to a small-time reseller, John LaMonte. With partners in the mob, Levy tried to force LaMonte to pay for four million remaindered records. When the FBI secretly wiretapped LaMonte in an unrelated investigation and agents learned about the deal, investigators successfully prosecuted Levy in the extortion scheme. "Convicted in 1988, Levy did not live to serve prison time. Stricken with cancer, he died just as his last appeals were exhausted. However, even if he had lived, Levy's brand of storied high life was effectively bust. Corporate ownership of record labels doomed most independents in the business, ending the days when a savvy if ruthless hustler could blaze a path to the top." However, claiming that Levy was some kinda archetypal or prototypical Jew (or if ya prefer, Hebe, which I certainly prefer given the sublime beauty of the intentionally limited language) is reductive & stereotypical. No Roulette Records or Muses Biz pun intended. No people want to be compared to the most predatory and beastly (perhaps fittest) survivor of Natural Selection as we may learn it if we keep paying attention to Darwin's back-of-a-napkin outline. To make it all go down easier I'd recommend playing Chris Smither's darkest of incomprehensible chuckles that makes all the castor oil go down if toxic-ally at least more easily: Slip "Origin of Species" by Smither into any shuffle of Nefesh Mountain (for sanity's sake...): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JVbj0Wcb5go.html Chris Smither - Origin of Species - Live at McCabe's Wayne Griffith 7.01K subscribers 46,611 views Oct 18, 2012 Chris Smither Live at McCabe's 6-29-2012 Origin of Species (by Chris Smither) website- smither.com/ /ChrisSmitherMusic Well, Eve told Adam "Snakes? I've had 'em! Let's get outta here! Go raise this family someplace outta town." They left the garden just in time With the landlord cussin' right behind. They headed East, and they finally settled down. One thing led to another; A bunch of sons, One killed his brother And they kicked him out with nothin' but his clothes. And the human race survived 'Cause all those brothers found wives But where they came from There ain't nobody knows. Then came the flood Go figure... Just like New Orleans only bigger. No one who couldn't swim would make it through. The lucky ones were on a boat Think "circus" And then make it float I hope nobody pulls the plug on you! How they fed that crowd is a mystery. It ain't down in the history, but it's a cinch they didn't live on cakes and jam. Lions don't eat cabbage And in spite of that old adage, I ain't never seen one Lie down with a lamb. Well, Charlie Darwin looked so far Into the way things are. He caught a glimpse of God's unfolding plan. God said: "I'll make some DNA" They can use it any way they want From paramecium Right up to man." "They'll have sex And mix up sections of their code They'll have mutations... The whole thing works like clockwork over time." "I'll just sit back in the shade While everyone gets laid. That's what I call Intelligent design." Yeah, you and your cat named Felix, Both wrapped up in that double helix, Is what we call Intelligent design.
