While the explanation makes sense, it raises a whole different question. Why do her rifle and sleep dart have an effect on eachothers stats in the first place?
@Yippingfox Snipers need extra lines of coding to indicate whether or not the sniper shot when scoped or unscoped. That explained, there should be some code that counts the sleep dart as a projectile shot from the original gun and not a seperate gun. This would mean that both accuracies are effected because of how they made their accuracy count different for people who can scope. Basically, they made a mistake and didn't notice it lol
Yeah I’m sitting here like: instead of subtracting shots fired could you not just use the barrier check already in place? I mean the game checks for a barrier THEN subtracts a shot fired. Why not just be IF !Barrier ++shot fired
It might be harder for Moira’s ult to go negative because it is a hit scan raycast. This means that it cannot have travel time before the game starts. The trick shown in the video cannot work even if the players start with their ultimates in a custom game. Also Moira’s ult is made to hit multiple targets at once, so the game keeps track of the ult “efficiency” instead of accuracy. This this suggests that Moira having high efficiency is intentional unlike ram punch which keeps track of “accuracy”
its because its efficiency, not accuracy i guess. tracking accuracy as hitting multiple players at once is dumb anyway as that isn't really accuracy at that point
I'll do you one better. I've never played Overwatch. I'm just here because game dev deep dives like these are super interesting, and Marblr presents them in a really captivating way.
@@spookyscarylamppost34315 years from now: In specific circumstances, total "players online" can actually enter the negatives. This happens due to a value tracking issue caused when rats run over the circuitboards in Blizzard's abandoned server rooms.
I love what you do for this community Marblr, keep it up! It’s such a blessing to have this much quality and informative content, also loving the terraria music!
I'm guessing that Moira's Coalescence and Ramattra's Pummel have those stats trigger due to their abilities sharing a collateral effect. Just another TIL from the GOAT Marblr. Really informative stuff.
The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type any given text, including the complete works of William Shakespeare. In fact, the monkey would almost surely type every possible finite text an infinite number of times. The theorem can be generalized to state that any sequence of events which has a non-zero probability of happening will almost certainly eventually occur, given unlimited time. Overwatch 2’s code is if you took the monkey’s first attempt
I love the kiriko animated short music at the end in combination with the cite. And each of your videos makes me wonder how overwatch even runs with all those inconsistencies
Everyone is talking about the Overwatch coding and how ridiclious it is, but I wanna stop and commend your editing and consistency throughout your videos. You have a very unique editing style that works very well with your content and audience, I enjoy it very much. Even learned some tricks from just watching your videos haha. Keep it up man, can't wait to see your next video
another thing on this- if you're playing JQ, stick a shield with knife- and the shield is dropped causing the knife to fall into a player- your accuracy gets bugged and exceeds 100%
Maybe easier to track All the stats and add them since her ult does a lot of stat stuff in a really short period of time? Maybe the name efficiency was an appeal to her characters personality, that IS odd tho, makes me wonder
Nice video, I am very sure that in Season 1/2 I had with Hanzo a critical hit rate of 150% sometimes at the beginning of a round. Since Season 3 but no longer...
The more vids this guy makes the more bugs/glitches are still in this game that a big company like Blizzard can’t notice. Blizzard has had a ton of bugs since ow1.
