Happy Plant Experiment Monday! 🌿💃🏻🌿 I forgot to check on my Monstera dubia cuttings for 4 long months! They’ve been trapped in an air tight propagation container with no additional water. 🙈 Before opening it, I made sure to brace myself for the worse so I wouldn’t cry on video. 😆 Wishing everyone a fantastic Monday! ✌🏼💚🌿

I love your video! I got a Monstera Dubia cutting two months ago and I don’t have much of an idea of what to do with an unrooted cutting. Would you suggest putting it in Tupperware with moss? I have it in a homemade terrarium now, and some of the leaves in the less humid part are browning 😭

So... I watched this video about a year ago. And now I find myself in the same boat. I propagated mine to save it and now it's over grown in a container and have no idea what to do with it. So here I am, back to watch this video again.

Quick question- will they be able to transfer well to open air after being confined in such a humid environment? How do you combat that potential trauma to the plants? PS: I LOVE your videos so much! Thank you for sharing such valuable information!

Hi there! Thank you, I’m so glad you love my videos 💚☺️ The transfer process will be a shock to these guys as our air is quite dry in our home, but I’ll be doing it gradually so they can harden off a bit first. I’ll be leaving the lid off for short periods of time and eventually permanently. This should help prevent their leaves from drying out and browning from the shock. I’ll also transfer some without hardening them to see how it’ll affect them. They could turn out OK but we’ll see in the next update on them. 🌿😊

My usual soil mix is potting soil, coco coir, perlite, + compost.

I forget my cuttings in water they survive but not the ones in soil 😄

That’s why I love water prop plants bc they just survive lol. The ones in soil are less forgiving unless there’s a hydrologic cycle. 🙈
