Neglected Rescue Puppies Get Their First Bath! 

for anyone wondering, here is joey's animal list (in chronological order): - Wolf (male husky, rescued from craigslist (?) as puppy) - Storm (male husky, white, adopted from a rescue as puppy, lives w Daniel) - Lark (female husky/german shepherd mix, adopted from a rescue as puppy (?), lives w Daniel's mom) - Lark had babies, seven of them (Red, Teal, Lavender, Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue) - Moon (male husky, kept one of lark's babies-Teal) - Shadow (male husky, J&D tried to keep Lark's baby Red, but Moon & Shadow struggled with littermate syndrome so Shadow was rehomed like the others) - Sakura (black female pregnant rescue cat) (kept her) - Sakura's kittens, the zodiac litter (Gemini, Taurus, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) - Azula (female foster cat, was pregnant but lost the litter) - Hen (foster mama from junkyard) - junkyard pups (Duck, Goose, Shark, Otter, Bear, Moose) - foster mama dog Roo - Roo's litter (Hare, Tiger, Bison, Panda, Raccoon, Monkey) - Daenerys (white foster mama kitty) - D's kitties, the Greek Goddess litter (Athena, Persephone, Aphrodite, Nemesis, Rhea) - took care (for a couple of days) of a mama duck and her 9 babies that wandered into his backyard and got stuck - May (foster mama husky) - May's babies, the Months litter (January, February, March, April, June, July, August, September, October, November, December) - Coco (husky foster mama pt2, false pregnancy, surrogate to Disney pups) - husky babies abandoned in box (Disney litter--Copper, Pluto, Bolt, Scar, Bruno, Darla) - Daisy (husky foster mama pt3) - Daisy's babies (flower/tree litter; Goldie, Lilly, and Daphne didn't make it; Ash, Cyprus, Oren) - Lacey/Onyx (black & white foster kitty mama) - Lacey/Onyx's kittens, gem litter (Opal, Pearl, Peridot, Flint, Mica, Jasper) - 4 blind Frenchies (Mike Wazowski, Baby Jack-Jack, Linguini, Lea Michele) - Monty had puppies, sounds like backyard breeding (12, white/Snowball-stillborn, red/Griz, yellow/Woods, orange/Buck, aqua/Huckleberry, blue/Timber, green/Bow, light pink/Winter, lime/Fern, black/Aspen, dark pink/Yarrow, purple/Twig) - Hunter (female golden retriever, kept one of Monty's babies-Yarrow) - pregnant mama pug & 7 puppies (2 stillborn); helped her through birth before transferring their care to another foster more experienced with bottle feeding bc it was a difficult litter - 5 pups from puppy mill *Montana/Monty (female golden retriever) is often in videos; she is Daniel's (Joey's ex) dog, but often comes to Joey doggy daycare *the babies are usually adopted by other people (other than Moon) and then renamed! some of them have instagrams and have shared their new names/stories, but I'm not including those here *I first created this list a long time ago and add to it every time Joey takes in a new animal...because I have it saved I just copy/paste it onto every (I try, but it's more like "most") animal-related video he posts, so no, it actually doesn't take a lot of my time or effort. I just like lists. Thank you to everyone who is giving thanks about the amount of effort though haha!

Some info I learned just passing it along... when they are eating you should mingle with them pet them and see if they'll take food from your hand. This can help with food aggression ❤

You are a furr baby Guardian Angel Joey. This litter looks so sad and scared especially the brown one. Poor we lambies. I do love Dobbie. How about Skellie for Skeletor, Lambie for the little one that fits in the water bowl And it is Easter when you rescued them Bunnie for the littlest wee one and my favourite brown one whose eyes make your heart melt Button as in the sweetest little chocolate button ever ❤❤❤❤❤

You are such a wonderful person for rescuing these pups!! You are exactly what they need. Just a suggestion while feeding. I would do separate bowls with small amounts of food more frequently. Their belly's are tiny from not eating the way they should of from the start. It may stop some of the loose stools. Their separate bowls will also assure you that their getting the right amount of food.

I really liked how you said one looked like a ferret and another one a mouse. So maybe name them after woodland animals? Thank you for what you do!!

You should definitely start those pups on a dewormer/de parasite as the bigger pup with the black coat has the uncanny belly of a dog with a parasite. That is why the pup looks skinny until you reach its stomach. That would be the safest option, as you said they were in a tough situation before being rescued. My current dog right now was rescued from an area in the South that was hit by a hurricane. He was fostered with many of his brothers and sisters. When my family decided to adopt, we went to the vet for his check-up, only for them to return saying that he had worms. He looked the same as those pups. The vet should be able to help them, I know that my dog got a deworming liquid that "tasted like bananas" and it started working quick. As gross as it may seem, make sure that you are watching their stool if you go with a de-wormer/de-parasite because then you should know if it's working or not.

Joey, maybe hand feed and put your fingers and hands in their bowl when feeding…I have a rescue who was malnourished and abused and when I rescued him he was thought to be 4 months. He resource guarded, was NUTS for his food etc. I did a lot of research and training to help get him able to eat with us in the same room. I can now pet him while he eats too. Work with them tons now before they’re bigger. :)

I stopped everything I was doing to watch this as soon as I got it, I lost my rabbit a couple days ago due to gi stasis she died in front of me and she meant the world to me but your videos have helped me so much thank you for everything you do

Joey, to give them even better nutrition, I highly recommend adding water to their kibble and something like honest kitchen or raised right puppy food. This will add some fresh food to their diet. I would also add some milk replacement because they obviously haven’t had the best nutrition before coming to you. I just fostered a litter of pups in similar condition and these things helped so much with them gaining weight and strength in a healthy way. I also added things like a few blueberries for antioxidants and immune health. I did freeze dried blueberries because fresh was hard to keep and more expensive.

Make sure you touch them and mess with them while they eat!! They're very protective of food, gotta make sure they don't grow up to be food aggressive!!

Two of them seem to already have names (Dobbie and Mouse). For the mini-Storm, maybe go with something else storm related, like Rain, Thunder, or Gale. The black puppy could be Flick and the last puppy could use one of the other storm related names. No real theme other than a few movie character references.

The puppies are just so adorable and they already look so much better than when you got them, they don’t look terrified anymore! And why did I have no idea they made a series of his dark materials??! I love those books and was upset they never made movies of the other books after the golden compass, def gotta watch that now!

Awwwww there sooooo cute! You need to deworm them to make sure that they have no parasites. When we deworm our little puppies we use Pyrantel Pamoate and the dose is 1 pound = 0.1ml Especially the black puppy the belly is really big and it’s not from being well fed. That is a sign of parasites and since they were found in ruff condition you should deworm to make sure that they haven’t picked up any parasites. You are doing an awesome job taking care of them and this makes my heart so happy that you were able to take them in.❤
