Right place right time for the guy wanting advice! The ability to stop your day and educate him without an ego or being "too busy" is why i support you guys. Likely made his year learning from you two. Kudos!
I like Gary a lot . Straight forward business guy without bs He is so knowledgeable and it would actually be very interesting to hang around him for some time You will learn a lot from him
18:13 my favorite part of the video. He is so sharp and fast. Amazing how he can calculate custom pieces and turn them into a deal. The key is he knows what he can sell them for at the next show.
I loved, I mean LOVED LOVED LOVED that time you took to talk to the kid in Ariel's store who was looking to understand how to get his start. Not for the info you gave him, even though that was cool to listen to, but for the fact you shared and how you shared. He obviously struck you a kind of way that made you want to take the time to connect, and watching his face as he listened it was obvious that he really was listening, really did appreciate it, was soaking it in. What a way to help a young kid not just maybe get a start in watches, but in whatever line he ends up - to realize that there are people who will get in his corner if he presents himself right. I fucking loved it. LOVED it. Great episode guys.
if possible, please keep us updated on the iced out PP I'm really curious to see/know what happens with it... Would also love to see how it looks when they pull out all the diamonds (since im probably expecting much bigger holes than it will have)
24:00 I actually really love the GS spring drive chrono gmt. It's so big but it packs so much function and features into a light titanium case. From a nerd, engineering stand point it's a beautiful watch
Adrian’s dad needs his own show 😂 I feel like foreign older guys from any country are just entertaining I love talking to all my uncles from Dominican Republic they have so much knowledge and personality
Hahaha you know I would love to! I always have had so much fun doing that. Social media management takes up most of my time here, but thankfully we have Nicole who’s crushing it next to Gary!
@@ninaricccci you killing it no matter what! Your hard work is the ladder that will elevate you to greatness. Keep climbing and rising above every challenge that comes your way!
The first Patek - he’s probably making £120k because he bought it at retail - the client cultivated a relationship with an AD which involves making losses on other pieces and generally spending your time visiting them to land these pieces, now you’re mad he’s cashing in on that and you’re only making your margin that you would on most other pieces ?
Im glad someone said something. Really tacky take from Adrian. Sounds like a little child who didn’t get his way. Wonder if Adrian would think the same way if he bought the watch and had a dealer saying “ahhh broo your making 120k on that not fair”. Pretty sad you should just keep those comments to yourself. Making 10K on a flip isn’t bad FOH with that.
Let me clarify… There is absolutely nothing wrong with making “7k” on a watch. Your missing the point…it’s basic math to make 3% gross margin on a watch that we will have to polish, and stand by and honor with our guarantee and warranty…will most likely result in a negative should a 6 figure perpetual calendar require ANY sort of mechanical maintenance. It’s a risk management on every level we must adhere to…your only seeing the 7k upside but not looking at the potential downside of covering a Patek Perpetual calendar under warranty…
@@adriantaskin that makes sense and you should be properly compensated to ensure you make a reasonable margin but it was just the comment on the client making 120k that didn’t come across well. Best of luck with your business this year
@@zendm4436probably 5 to 6k. I've serviced my royal oak offshore twice and it was 3k without a polish, a Patek perp calendar would be serious money to service.
I havent been getting notifications that you guys have uploaded a video for atleast a month now .. im always like 3 or 4 days late till i realize i havent seen a video in awhile. Hope youtube isnt playing games with ur channel
Good for that kid tbh getting free advice from one the best in the business anyone who can get advice from a top dog in their business even by paying for their time is lucky
Love the content guys. I got a question for you when looking for a unique watch scrolling crono24 I came a across these dlc coated watches so my question is how should coating a watch affect the price apposed to seeing after market diamond watch which dramatically decrease the value of a watch Thanks keep up the good work
7K net on a possible 120K retail watch is not enough, you will end up losing much more on that watch. Just my own thoughts, I think Rolex Grey prices are going to fall a lot more. The Jewellery Godfather is brilliant !! I would chose the Grand Seiko over the Pepsi.
Is this a good watch? COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA Oyster, 40 mm, white gold M126509-0001Model Case Oyster, 40 mm, white gold Bezel Fixed, with engraved tachymetric scale, in 18 ct white gold. This is the watch I am looking for but need to know if this is a good watch and can you get it or do you have it?
Business’ should pray to be lucky enough to have an Adrian on there team. As a tradesmen myself. For someone equally skilled but in my individual Industry easy $50 an hour maybe a base hourly for when there’s no work and then when it’s the busy season switch to a percentage etc. Finding employees like him but in hour specific field. He can sell 10k + and 100k plus watches. Anyone that could roofing and Renovations jobs for me and come to work everyday. No reason an employee should not be able to make that if given the chance. Minimum 6 figures if you work hard. Harder in my area taxes are insane
