Nehemiah Lecture by Rev. Dr. Renita Weems at Juneteenth National Digital Equity Bible Study 

On June 19, 2024, Rev. Dr. Renita Weems, a biblical scholar, author, and 2022 Black Churches 4 Digital Equity (BC4DE) fellow gave the inaugural Nehemiah Lecture on digital equity and the importance of Black churches becoming anchor institutions for creating digital equity, access, skills, and training in the Black community at the Juneteenth National Digital Equity Bible Study.
Juneteenth National Digital Equity Bible Study was a historic event dedicated to promoting digital equity and literacy in the Black community and embodying the spirit of Juneteenth by encouraging inclusion and empowerment in the digital age. Greater Grace Temple of David and Bishop Charles H. Ellis, III, the church pastor, co-hosted the event in Detroit, Michigan. It was livestreamed on Facebook, RU-vid, and Zoom.
