Minds like you are rare to find.Your words and actions have been an inspiration and booster for those who want to contribute to the society and make it a better place to live.We need to end hypocrisy and xenophobia from the minds of people who hinder the progress of a better country and a better world.
Sir I have recently started following you and Oh Man am I blown away with ur personality and the way you argue in Debates..The Oxford Debate does not require a mention anyway..More than the words that u throw in the crowd it's ur Diction and the modulation of ur voice that spellbounds all..!!
Mr Tharoor is spot on when he talks about shrinking vocabulary in modern India. During the 70s and 80s ,journalistic standards were much higher and it wasn't uncommon for one to come across sesquipedalian words such as Rodomontade, Farrago, Potpourri, Perspicacious, Braggadocio etc especially if you have read the sports columns in the "The Hindu" group of publications or "India Today". So, I wasn't a wee bit surprised when I read his tweets but little did I realize these words were too exotic for modern day Indians despite the ubiquity of the internet. Judging by the various comment sections, Mr .Tharoor seems to have a cult following, mostly comprised of millennials. At this rate, it wouldn't be surprising if Tharoorosaurus effectively supplants Roget's Thesaurus as the leading resource for synonyms and antonyms.
sir if possible can you make a speech about the major difference between westernization and globalization because these days people are confusing between these two agathokakological elements. thank you for your wonderful speech. thank you once again.
Dear Sir Absolutely thrilled and am on the edge of my seat to read your latest work. Your words and your views have always inspired me to explore and read more and more. Your words are scintillating and the lines of thought so poignant and bang-on. All the best and keep motivating us through your words and works🙏😊👍
S. L Tharoor sir. I held you in high esteem. You are jst too good to be under the Gandhi's families grip. Y? Don't you come out of tat shell you hve lots to contribute for the nation bt Gandhi's won't let you do anything on your own as long as you stick vit the Gandhi's centred party.
Sad to see Amish unnecessarily centralizing the conversation on classical mythology when the korero was specifically designed for experiencing insights on Tharoor’s smorgasbord of eclectic words. He should’ve followed this approach on Tharoor’s other mythology-related books. Hope he reviews the conversation and ameliorates the same in his future parleys.
Hello sir, I really appreciate all the videos. Sir, I had a question for you. I know you've had a video dedicated to the books you suggest related to politics. Can you name a few non fiction books which are controversial in nature but a must read in your opinion. Thank you
Ankita Bose Reverence is a very subjective phenomenon. People rever bizarre things in life, let alone a human being. Indians have historically been enamoured to fluent english as a sign of colonial sorcery. A sense of inferiority from people (historically white colonialists) has imbued from generations which makes it pretty palpable that large swathes of the population are attracted to polished and exquisite english skills. Tharoor (by using catchy and singable words) has garnered this reputation by playing on (not directly perhaps) this innate obsession towards the same.
Ankita Bose Nope. Maybe the euphemism wasn’t all too clear in your question. Even if it were, that has been answered in the first paragraph of my reply.
Let me try summing up a few words from the eloquent vocabulary of Dr. Shashi Tharoor into one contemporary objective situation: An exasperating "farrago"😜 being created by a "panglossian" journalist in his "gonzo" style which appears to be "floccinaucinihilipilificated" and giving him an emotional "lalochezia", which is patently "rodomontade" as he seems "esurient" for the TRPs bolstering "snollygoster" politicians working in a "kakistocracy". Hence, a "defenestration" must be adhered to or someone needs to give him a Munna Bhai "cwtch".🤣 Feel free to criticize me as it is the backbone of "democracy" as we are "agathokakological" 🤣🤣😂😂 Phew!! Please comment your favourite word.😂 I was pretty "scripturient" to write this up!😂
Below is Tharoor's apt response when someone tried imitating his style. While it definitely is a good attempt,, it distorts the overall meaning of what you're trying to convey. twitter.com/shashitharoor/status/941720189577523200?lang=en
